View 5 RepliesI need to get all the html content of a page and save it in some thing like a session....
View 5 RepliesI'm very new to ASP.net. I have a c# content page, in which I want to inset this code half way down within the HTML:
<%
HttpResponse r = Response;
r.Write(HttpContext.Current.Request.ServerVariables["SERVER_NAME"]);
%>
But when I view the page, this content comes out first, before even the tag.
how to get this code inline instead?
I have a master page homeMaster.aspx and many content pages. However the situation is I have few .html pages. Now when a user clicks on a link the html page should get loaded.inside the master page. The problem is these are .html and not content page with .aspx.
View 4 RepliesI have one master page that is used to gather information from a user. It contains asp.net labels and textboxes within a table. For example, the master page contains fields for Name , Phone, Address, etc.
There are content pages that are created to add to the information that needs to be gathered. For example, the content page, Loan Application, could ask for Loan Amount, LTV, etc.
In addition to this, certain content page forms do not need to show a particular master page field. For example, the content page may not need to ask for Phone.
The table rows are stored as public properties in the master page so I can hide them in the content page code behind.
public bool HomePhoneRow
{
set { trHomePhone.Visible = value; }
get { return trHomePhone.Visible; }
}
So, in the content page code behind, I have this:
Master.HomePhoneRow = false;
The functionality works perfect, but I don't like how the space is reserved on the page. You can tell that a row was removed. I've tried style="border-collapse:collapse" on both the <table> and <tr> elements. I've also tried to set the row height as a public property and alter that.
I have MasterPage.master and 3 page that use this masterpage
1-home.aspx
2-product.aspx
3-information.aspx
in masterpage I defive 3 DIV
<div id="Home" runat="server"></div> <div id="Product" runat="server">
</div> <div id="Information" runat="server"></div>
I want in Home.aspx it change <div id="Home"> Background's image so I wrote below code in home.aspx behind code:
Home.Style["background-image"]=Page.ResolveUrl("~/Images/Extra/H.jpg"); but this error happen: the name Home doesn't exist in the current context
I think it happen because I define divĀ in masterpage not in home.aspx so if I want do it what should I do?
I have a MasterPage.master and default.aspx content page From the contetn page I'd like to edit a style property of an Html tage that is in the MasterPage.
[Code]....
But error:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
I have the web page [URL] written in html. I have also created a form on this web page, but I do not have any idea how to create the aspx page to capture and email to me (via my mailserver), the data the user enters and submits through the form
View 3 RepliesI will be getting data through wcf service coming form commerce server (instead of DB). Data which is coming will be in the form big html content with all html tags or may be a single line sentence. I should display this dynamic data into the placeholder in the content page (master content page). I have been trying but not able to load when the data is in the form of HTML page. html content or may be single lline of senetence.
View 3 RepliesI have an ASP.NET content page. The HTML tag associated with the content page is declared in the master page. I need to add an attribute to the HTML tag from the content page. My problem is, I do not know how to access this HTML tag from the content page.
View 3 RepliesI am using the HTML Editor with a database, which works fine. All the instructions I find show the output on the same page as the Editor - which to me doesn't make much sense... at least not for how I want to use it. I believe I need to use the Literal control, but I can't find a clear example.
If I have Editor1 on page "edit.aspx" which submits the content to database db.mdb, using fields "id" and "fldContent", how can I display the content on another page "view.aspx"?
My project has the following repeater menu shown on the Master Page. I need this menu to remain hidden until the user logs in. How do I access from content page?
[Code]....
which page need to be checked. Master or Content. I dont think there is anything wrong in the content page.
View 1 Repliesi have found out a way to find controls on content pages by using
var txt = $('input[id$=TextBox1]'). But how to access html elements like "<p>" tag and others in jquery when the html elements are in content page only.
I am having asp:hyperlinks in my master page, which i use as my page headers. I would just like to change the text format of the hyperlink when a content page is loaded.

The WorldPay payment gateway suggests using this HTML to take the customer to the payment page:
<form action="https://select-test.wp3.rbsworldpay.com/wcc/purchase" name="BuyForm" method="POST">
<input type="hidden" name="instId" value="211616">
<input type="hidden" name="cartId" value="abc123">
<input type="hidden" name="currency" value="GBP">
<input type="hidden" name="amount" value="0">
<input type="hidden" name="desc" value="">
<input type="hidden" name="testMode" value="100">
<input type="submit" value="To Payment!">
</form>
How to I put this form on my page? The problem is I have a master page which wraps the content pages content in the ASP.net form, I can't nest the forms.
I'm using this Ajax script [URL] to load content from an aspx page on another server than the page calling the content. So far I've learned that this is a no go. The problem seems to be that when using an absolute link to content the script fails as apposed to using a relative link.
I've searched the web for about 10 hours now, and I still haven't found what I'm looking for.
I'm getting this message when going to a web app that accesses my service.
"The content type text/html of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (text/xml; charset=utf-8)..."
The thing is, it happens once in a while even when no changes have been made to the service or the web app. And I can make it go away most of the time by going directly to the .svc?wsdl page in my browser and then coming back to the web app.
In master page I am using asp content place holder. And in my child page I am using pure html coding. When I attach master page in my child page I am getting this error.Content controls have to be top-level controls in a content page or a nested master page that references a master page.
View 1 RepliesCan I ask what this error refers to, (I have had it twice now over the last couple of days and then it goes away):
System.Web.HttpException: Content controls are allowed only in content page that references a master page.
This is followed by Stack Trace:
[HttpException (0x80004005): Content controls are allowed only in content page that references a master page.]

I am not using any Content Place Holder or Master Page (does the error refer to the Site.Master file because while I can see it in. Solution Explorer, I never use it. All of my aspx files look like this along the top with no reference to Site.Master:
Code:
<%@ Page Language="VB" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeFile="register1.aspx.vb" Inherits="register1" %>
I write code as :
Regex r = new Regex(this.textbox1.Text);
Match m = r.Match(this.SearchStringTextBox.Text);
while (m.Success)
{
Response.Write(m.Value);
Response.Write("<br>");
m = m.NextMatch();
}
this.textbox1.Text="<img[^>]* src="([^"]*)"[^>]*>"
this.SearchStringTextBox.Text = " I get html content ..........."

If I use the Respose.Write method the page contains the string, but while taking the view source option from browser it will display some html tag like Doctype, head, body etc. My requirement is only the string should be displayed in the source.
View 2 RepliesI'm a newbie to ASP.NET and I have a following queston.
There is a HTML template in my project with some LI elements to create a multiple checkboxes on my page. Template looks like this:
[Code]....
These LI elements must be generated with standard asp:CheckBox in it for every value, retreaved via webservice request.
I am building a website in which all of the site layout is in Master page and the content of the site is in the inherited pages. I have various links for navigation in which i simple use Response.Redirect to transfer to different pages. Now the problem is that I want to put the content place holder inside Ajax Update panel so that the postbacks are Asynchronous and I want to show the postback by an animated image inside Update Panel progress control. The problem is that I am unable to achieve this result and the entire page is posted back and rendered again. I have placed the content place holder inside the Ajax control toolkit's Update panel but it does not work. Is there any way that I can change the content of the content place holder to a new page with asynchronous postback.

Error 17 'System.Web.UI.MasterPage' does not contain a definition for 'SetMetaTags' and no extension method 'SetMetaTags' accepting a first argument of type 'System.Web.UI.MasterPage' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
