Web Forms :: Google Analytics In Aspx - Where To Paste The Code
Mar 22, 2010
i have just register google/analytic. and it provide me a series of code to paste into my pages before the </body> tag. however, i am using masterpage for my webiste. therefore, may i know where should i paste the code to?
What's the best way to get the Google Analytics ID from a database, and display it on a Master.Page? Maybe getting the page details (page title, etc) and displaying the GA code using a .net control? I am not sure what the best way to do it, as the GA ID would change for each of my clients.
I want to find a place to put my Google Analytics code in my ASP.NET web application. I would like to place it somewhere once and not have to copy and paste the code into multiple files. Is there somewhere that I could inject it that I would only have to include it once and all pages would be effected? I am not using MasterPages unfortunately.
I want to use Google Analytics on my asp.net website. My website have a masterpage that each page will use. So my idea is to put the GA code in the bottom of the masterpage and in that way get it included into all pages. Is that a good idea to get the tracking right? Or might there be any problems of using this way?
Another thing is that I need to track conversion for a goal that I have setup in GA. I need to see the funnel, the pages leading to the goal. The problem is that these pages are actually the steps of a asp.net wizard control. What is the best way to track each step of the wizard control as individual steps in GA to reach the goal?
I want to integrate Google analytics in my asp.net mvc application. So im doing some R&D for it to find out which one is the better. I find out a Google Analytic Dashboard Controls which are available at
[Code]....
But they are server control and im not sure how to implement in asp.net mvc. Secondly can i implement asp.net charts in my asp.net mvc application?
I'm trying to track how many people are signed up and set up goal for Google Analytics. I use CreateUserWizard and I'm trying to set a goal when users reach coplete wizardstep section or when users finish createwizardstep1 (first signup page) CreateUserWizard has 3 steps. first sign up page, second optional page and finish page. I'm sure that I can separate optional info section and redirect different page after step1 but I would like to avoid that if possible.
One of my clients has requested this feature. They dont want to login to google analytics and want all the tracking/reporting through the site. Is there a way to show reporting inside an asp.net page?
I am using asp.net 3.5 with C#. I have registered my application in google analytics and it is successfully showing my statics. But I want to integrate that statics into my website, is their any way I can do it.
I have an ASP.NET website set up, and I'm using Google Analytics for page tracking. The only thing I don't like is that I have to go away from my site (to the Google Analytics site) to see the report. Is there any way to show the Google Analytics data on my own site with all the AJAX that they have?
I need to implement google analytics in my asp.net website where I can see all website visits, Bounce Rates, Unique Visitors, Page Views, Country, etc from my website admin panel.
I have several pages, let's call them A, B and C. Each of these pages has a form where the user can type in some information and click a button to send those information to the server. This button click is performed in an UpdatePanel to prevent a full postback.
A customer of ours now wants to know how many % of the using visiting each site (A, B and C have different URLs) use this form. (Meaning I need seperate values for A, B and C) How to I track this in Google Analytics? It seems that I have to create a conversion(??) for each page. Is that correct?
How must I modify the existing web application to let Google Analytics know, that a user submitted the form. (without the need to redirect thank to xy amount of different thank you pages)
I want to make a bar chart from the google analytics data. Current implemetation of the bar chart in my site is by See Analytics I am developing an ASP.NET website and this See Analytics is using PHP and jQuery to conjure the chart. It is also paid. What my client would like is a similar tool that draws chart from analytics, without a PHP Component in it. ie. A similar tool using ASP.NET and jQuery/javascript. What I would like is to get that tool for free(open source).
We are using Google Analytics for our site, but since it uses client script in HTML output we are unable to track hits to any of our ASP.NET ASHX handler pages.
I'm trying to add Google Adword conversion code script to certain aspx pages in our website but I'm running into an issue with the site using master pages. The Google instruction said to place the code before the body tag but with master pages being used the code will be on all the pages using the master page. I would like setup it up where certain pages use individual conversion codes with others not using anything. Any suggestions or examples would be appreciated. Also, I'm using C#.
I am looking for a way to display an iframe code part in my website. Also, I am looking for a component to make it easy to copy/paste this iframe code part.
If I drag a control from the toolbox in Visual Studio (2008+SP1) into an ASPX page I get a proposal for an ID: <asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" Text="Button" /> That's nice and helps not to forget to assign an ID. Most of the time I rename the ID like: <asp:Button ID="MySpecialButtonForSpecialTask1" runat="server" Text="Button" />
Now I have a task 2 (3, 4, ..., n) and need a button "MySpecialButtonForSpecialTask2". So I copy and paste the first one with ID="MySpecialButtonForSpecialTask1". That's the result: <asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" Text="Button" /> That's not nice since I need to change now "Button1" to "MySpecialButtonForSpecialTask2" but I would prefer to change "MySpecialButtonForSpecialTask1" to "MySpecialButtonForSpecialTask2". Is there any setting or trick in VS to prevent assigning new IDs after copy and paste?
I'm not looking for the option "Tools > Options > Text Editor > HTML> Miscellaneous > Auto ID elements on paste in Source view" since it also turns off creating IDs for controls inserted from the toolbox. I only would like to switch off this when copy & paste.
It happens frequently when I try to copy & paste code inside VS 2010 with following message:
insufficient available memory to meet the expected demands of an operation at this time, possibly due to virtual address space fragmentation. Please try later.
and I check the memory usage with taskmanager on my computer. It is fine.
In order fix it, I need to close VS 2010 and restart again.
I have a question. I will take the example exactly as it looks like. Below I have an .aspx page and a .cs page. In the .aspx page There is alot of text written. The .cs file as seen will in the Page_Load event redirect to another .aspx page which holds the real design to show for a user.(I only create these below .aspx page for google to find and index. These are content like Thread and posts but when someone enter this page, it will redirect to the real desinged page and now know what text to read in there.)
My question is if this .aspx page below can be crawled/red/index by search engines like google. (To mention is that I do use a sitemap). What worries me with this question is that I immediately redirect to another .aspx page.Does this prevent google from having the ability to read the below .aspx page and index the content? How does this work?
I put common code in the app_code directory. I access classes in the code all the time from aspx.cs files by "using" the name space from the C# file in app_code and then referencing the class. Now I want to access a class from an app_code file a aspx file. How do I do this?
I can't write in english well, but I must try to have an answer for my problem.I have a problem that I have not found a solution, regarding the integration of C # code in the HTML code .aspxI want to do a loop on the
<ajaxToolkit:TabPanel of <ajaxToolkit:TabContainer to have several tabs by a few existing data in a DB table.
Here is a moceau of my code:
[Code]....
This code gave me this error:
Message d'erreur de l'analyseur: 'TabPanel_<%= idMagasin %>' n'est pas un identificateur valide.Translation: Message parser error: 'TabPanel_ <% = idMagasin%>' is not a valid identifier.I removed idmagasin like this:
Translation: System.ArgumentException: An entry with the same key already existsThe result is that I found a great problem to insert a C # code in the HTML code .aspx unlike others languages like PHP.
I have a 'classic' ASP.NET app (.NET 3.5) with a pretty standard runat="server" style form with server-side controls and an 'Execute' asp:button. In the code-behind, the executeButton_click handler processes some of the other controls, runs a report, and drops the result into an asp:label. So the effect of pressing the Execute button is that the entire page reloads with the report inserted into the label.
I need to change this so that when the Execute button is pressed, the report pops up in a new window with a different layout (ie without the controls and form). If I was doing this in an MVC framework I would just change the view template in the 'execute' action, so the analogue for ASP.NET would be change the code in front, ie the .aspx file that gets used, from the code-behind class.
Is this possible? I know the link between the .aspx and the .aspx.cs isn't extremely tight as it is possible to reuse a code-behind class in multiple .aspx files. So can I set the .aspx file to render from the code-behind?
