i have a task to display a report from data based for a month or a week based on user requirement..
i already create this query to build the dataset..
Select empName , planDate,statusDesc from vwSchedulePlan where compID = '1' AND planDate between ' 5/2/2010' and '5/8/2010 ' group by empName,planDate,statusDesc
I am porting an ASP.NET 2.0 project to VS 2010 and ASP.NET 4.0. I have the asp.menu set up to go horizontally across the top of my master page. This works pretty good, but I have a couple of pages that take a long time to load a lot of data (that is another issue though). The problem that I am having is that when these slow pages load the menu is initially vertical and then switches to horizontal. This looks so bad that I had initially thought that it was displaying my sitemap page. I just want it to draw properly (horizontal) to begin with.
Also, the content page has a script manager with CDNenable set to true.
I am using VS 2010 and ASP.NET 4.0. I have the ASP:Menu in the top of my master page and it's orientation property is set to horizontally. I have a problem with some pages that take a long time to load data. The problem I am having is that when these slow pages load, the menu is initially vertical and then switches to horizontal after few seconds which doen't look good. I have tried to change Orientation in MenuItemDataBound but no difference.
Using an ASP.NET 3.5 menu control set to horizontal, is there a way to specify that only a certain node of the menu displays? For example, let's say I have a vertical menu on the left side of the master page that is tied to a sitemap and displays these nodes. The submenus would be dynamic and only display when the root node is hovered.
Main Page Second Page Sub Menu 1 Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Sub Menu 2 Page 1 Page 2 Page 3
A certain (powerful) group of my users will always be going straight to the pages in Sub Menu 1 and pretty much never touching the other pages. They would like a sub-master page that is based on the parent master page so that the primary vertical menu and the sitemappath are all still there but the sub-master page will contain a horizontal menu control that only displays the the Sub Menu 1 node, like this:
Sub Menu 1 Page 1 Page 2 Page 3
Is there a way to set up the menu control to start displaying at a certain node level so the parent nodes and sibling nodes aren't displayed or would this require maintaining a separate sitemap file? I hope this makes sense.
My menu control is in horizotal style and i want to show it's dynamic item also in horizontal style too, by default they are vertical. Plus the arrow(Static pop-out image) to be shown vertical rather horizotal which is by default. How to do that ?
1) I have a menu control which is using a SiteMapDataSource. This is bound to a .sitemap file. I have the orientation property set to horizontal, but for some strange reason it still displays vertical. I can't for the life of me figure out why it's doing this. Am I doing something wrong here?
2) Is there a way to not display the root (Home) directory on my menu control? I only want to show Customer Support, Technician Support, Administration, and Site Map on the control.
I did make my menus turn to horizontal. But I have no clue how to put my home and sign out menu together in the menus. As it is separated because I am using linkbutton for both button.
It'll be hard to explain, but here goes...I have a 3-col table that measures 1200px wide... the middle column measures 800px and includes all the contents, and both remaining rows measure 200px each and have "nice-to-display-but-optional" images (each has a 200px image). On a 1400px display, my table will display with no problems. On the other hand, if the screen is 1000px, then it'll display the scrollbars so it can fit the 1200px of contents.
How can I set the table (or any other html container) so that a 1000px screen only displays what fits on the screen without displaying the scrollbar? In this case, a 1000px would display the middle 800px column, and whatever fits on the sides (half of the 200px images). But the scrollbars would not be displayed, and the images would not be altered so that they fit in the remaining space.
I m Using DataList Controll for the time being. But i wana use DridView Controll that should display Data Horizontally. Is it Possible? if Yes then How?
I have a gridview with around 250 columns which are generated automatically except first column which is fixed. Is there any way I can fix the first column but allow horizontal scrolling on remaining columns.
I have only 6 rows in gridview so don't need vertical scroll. Here is my code.
I have a dataset which I bind to a gridview for display. Normally, the gridview shows the dataset table column name as the column header and the data is bound vertically - i.e. the dataset table rows are created in a vertical/downward fashion. What I would i like do however in my application is to get the GridView to bind in the horizontal direction. So the data that is bound "moves" towards the right. Before suggesting a repearter or datalist, I also have a requirement to not wrap. I have not been successfull getting the repeater/datalist not to wrap unless you know of a setting you can share.
I'm using a DataList to display photos in a TabSheet. The problem I get is that the div seems to get wider based on the # of pictures even though the pictures are not displayed and a scrollbar is.
I have a datalist within a table and it scrolls horizontally. The data is set up to progress from past to future. By default the page loads with the table scrolled all the way to the left, and therefore displaying data which is furthest in the past. I would prefer for the table to load with the scroll bar in the middle, so that data at the split between past and future is displayed and the user can go further each way as he desires. how to set the focus within the table to let my datalist load exactly where I want it?
Did anybody do Database Driven - Horizontal and Vertical Nav without using XML?is it possible to bind menu control with query or view and pass query string to find particular horizontal nav and vertical nav? Please post working solution, i was trying for days to find a working solution. All the samples i tried is not working or it is too complex.i love to write and manage simple code.
Newbie to ASP.net. Programming in C#.I'm querying a SQL database and displaying the results in a gridview. The results can be many records so I need to provide the facility to scroll vertically and horizontally. To display the headers when scrolling I have implemented ( in my asp code) the headers in another table and the data is in another table. I see now I cannot align the column headers with the table data.Appreciate any help to fix this issue. ( What I need is a similar to the freeze function in excel where you can freeze the header while scrolling horizontally and vertically)If this method is not a good one to display headers with data please suggest another methodHere is my ASP code.
