i have a asp.net web application with few hyperlinks
when clicked it used to open in a new window due to target="_blank" which is specified
it was wrking fine but due to some settings or changes done now its not getting opened the links without target="_blank" gets opened as it gets opened in the same parent window

The following code creates log files on a web server:

I'm getting the problem that after someone looks at one of the log files from the link, that log file stops being written to.
I have used the AnimationExtender to display a panel when I hover over a hyperlink. I want it to automatically close the panel when I move off of the hyperlink.
In the code below I thought I could add an OnHoverOut to the Animations, but only one animation is allowed.

Cookie is not deleted if another browser remained opened even the current one is closed. I also include the code to get the cookie expired . But it only works properly when user closes all browsers.
View 2 RepliesI am having a .net project that builds the web based installer. I was using visual studio 2005 environment and the project is targetted to .Net 2.0 framework earlier. I don't see any issues with installing the product that was builted from above environment.
Recently i migrated to Vs2008 and .Net 3.5 framework and the i was facing the following issue. During the installation the web browser( opened in IE 6.0) is getting opened in INTERNET Zone which applied higher security settings including disabling of all Java scripts.The browser was not responding any click events( next or back or cancel).Copying the URL to the new IE doesn't have this issue. I am not sure whether it is an environment issue or not.
I have website home page which my client can view well on his blackberry mobile phone but I have link buttons on that page which redirect the users to other pages ..just Response.Redirect ............simple code.... but when he clicks on the link, it requests for enabling javascript..I do that but the home page just does a postback. Links are not working on cellphone........... on regular website they are working fine.

But not in chrome browser i cant do the tab navigation and link button clicks and Ajax calendar control also.
I know this is probably a pretty normal pattern, but, I've never had to code it up. I'm using a GridView to display various items from a SQL query. I can do this without any problems. Upon selecting a specific item, I want to open a new page based on the selected row item link that passes some parameters to a SQLDataSource in the newly spawned window. I know I can use the javascript window.open function() to create a new window, but, I don't know how to pass the desired code to this new window.

In the page there are two links. When i click the first link it opens a window in a new page. I do this by using the above code.
I am clicking the second link in the page and navigating to another page. Now i am clicking the browser back button. Supprisingly its opening the first link.

When user successfully logged in then Itemlist page will get open and login page also remains open (as per my requirement) with some text. Now if user reloads the login page then it will open second Itemlist page though first Itemlist page is opened. View 2 RepliesI have a user control with some asp.net controls and a submit buton. On clicking submit i save data to my db.Now I open this user control from a modal pop which is inside a grid. I am using a modal popup extender.When they hit save which is a button on my user control I just want to update my db. But whats happening is when i hit save the modal popup closes and i belive my update panel refreshes.How can i click the save button and still have my modal pop opened.

Page2 having Button 2 and an ascx control UC1. UC1 has a Button 3. Page2 is a modal dialog ( window.showModalDialog )
on Click of Button1 open Page2(modal dialog).
Page2 has UC1. UC1 has a button B3. On click of B3,instead of directly going to B3_click event, another post back happens. Thereafter opens login.aspx in another browser ( It is losing Session containing UserDetails as well as other session details).
now even If I continue entering Username and password, page2 reloads again in the new browser.
I am totally lost.
1) I do not know why UC1 button click makes another postback and thereafter opens up into another page losing all the sessions!!

View 1 RepliesI have a table which have different records in it, When user click on each record I save the primary key of the record to another table (recent viewed) with short date and time. It checks first if that record is already there so it just update the data and time but if record is not yet there then it will add it.
I want that the recent viewed table only store 15 records in it. Not more then 15 and most oldest added record should be overwrite. Is that possible in MS SQL server 2008?
Here is my requirement -
1. I need to load a user control on link click event of a link button during postback of aspx page.
2. On button click event of a save button on that aspx page, I need to read the selected values from that user control on further postback.
If I write the loadcontrol code in link_click event, the control is not recognized at all in the button_click event. When I shift it to page_init and execute only during not postback, the user control loads with default values.
I have a gridview control sitting in a jQuery Accordian. The data in the grid diplays fine, however in IE 6 the page numbers do not display when the pane of the accordian is first opened. If you open another pane and then re-open the pane containing the grid view the number appear. There is also no issue with IE7 or later or FF.
