so when i click credit additonal texboxes and labels visible
Card type Textbox1.text
Card number Textbox2.Text
How to do this?
I was looking for some better way of coding to populate all text boxes and make them visible once a button is clicked, is there a better way of doing this than I describe below?
The scenario
I have a letter like format on a page with labels displaying address, name etc and it was recommended that on this page some of the information should be able to be edited. The idea I had was to keep the labels displaying the information but then when the edit details button is clicked the labels disappear, text boxes will appear and be populated with the same text as the label to allow the user to edit the details.
I seem to repeating lines of code but changing one thing each time
on page load

My code seems very repetitive in many parts, I was looking for a better coding style to do this can anyone suggest a better way to do it? Is my idea sound right way to do this or can anyone suggest a better way it can be implemented?

As usual the designer completely lies about how things will really look. When I view my site the labels are above and about 1 character to the left of the textboxes underneath and my check box control somehow decided to go to a newline for each word in it's label.
I can't figure out what I did wrong. I've went over the css several times.

View 4 RepliesI'd like to take the standard "List View" view in an ASP.NET MVC application, and convert all of the "Labels" to "TextBoxes" and then save any changes made to each record.The end result would function very similar to the List View in Access. I couldn't find anybody doing this, To be clear, I do not want an Edit/Delete button for each record, I want one "Save" button for ALL records at once.

The textboxes are empty if they were newly added or contain data from a previous initialization. There's no difference in the code that I'm using that I can see or think of. What do I need to change to get data to the textboxes?

As you can see from above, I have every label field pair wrapped in a p tag so it breaks to the next line, but I am not sure if I need to do this. I want to get city, state, and zip all on the same line, but as soon as I move all the labels and inputs for city,state,zip into one p tag, it looks like the following and I don't know how to fix it.
I have a datagrid on my aspx page (it is actually a user control on an aspx page). I dont ever want this datagrid to be editable. There is an Edit and a Delete link in the last column, so if you want to edit the data that are in the row you go to a new page for that purpose.
Let's say I have four rows in the grid. If I use the Delete link to delete the third row, when the page refreshes and the grid is rebuilt, the last row contains textboxes. I do not understand why this is happening. I was not the original author of this code (disclaimer).

Note that there are two procedures that handle PrinterList.ItemDataBound. Is that unusual? I don't know if this is something obvious that I just am not seeing, or something lurking underneath seemingly correct code, but I don't understand how the textboxes are getting created.
this is a CSS / design question. I have three textboxes that i want to be center aligned on a web page. Then i want a label description to the right of each one. I have a web page on which there is a gridview control. The gridview contains the grades (in textbox controls in each row of the gridview) for students and allows entries and updates. The student may eventually end up with 200+ grade records for all the lessons and units in a course. I have quite a few regular users, and only one reports a recurring problem as follows: When they have entered some new grades for a student and saved them, they go back later and find that whole blocks of grades that had been entered prior to the last grade entries have been blanked out.
That is, the grade records still remain, but there are no grades in them (the grades are blank). These textboxes were not necessarily visible on the screen (as the gridview is contained in a panel with scrollbars), but were still populated when the user was entering the other grades. Has anyone heard of any viruses that blank out textboxes in forms that are displayed on a screen? I have checked my code and found nothing that would cause the old values to be blanked out. Moreover, I have other heavy users who do not have this issue.
I have a small obsticle. I use labels to present data from database. Some data strings from database are very long which makes the labels very long too so it looks ugly because label is pushing everything to the side of the webpage. Setting label width works only when text is less then width which i set. How can i make the label only show text no longer then labels width?

In that user must answer two polls which are required.I have added all the four polls in my datalist ,it is displaying fine and while clicking submit button the required field validator is working and giving the error message. Once we answered the required polls and clicking submit button again, all other polls which are not required showing as required one.My poll answer getting submitted thats not a problem ,I want to avoid displaying the error message for non-required polls.Here is my design and code:

I know about the mouseover when you pass over them with the mouse but I DIDNT MEAN THAT. Just to be clear only changes image when its clicked=when its on the page that it represents.
View 2 RepliesI have a project that uses a CSSHandler with images and css style sheets in the project root directory in their own folders (img, styles, App_themes). I also have a sub application that comes with a MasterPage. The sub application is located in a separate folder in the root directory with all its images, css, and pages. Functionally the sub application works, but the formatting is lost. The images and colors are not displayed. How can I make the sub application's css visible to its pages? It has probably something to do with the way the CSS handler delivers themes and css style sheets?
View 1 RepliesI've successfully used the xmlhttp object to redirect (xmlHttp.open) user to another page but I have the following issue ..I have a classic ASP application that has some very antiquated "admininstration" functionality built in that loops through a SQL table with NT Accounts and allows the link to only be visible to users with NT account in the table. We have since moved on to manage permission to our .net apps using an object that looks for your NT account in an Active Directory Group. So, I would like to use the .net object to return True if NT account is a member of the group and then display the link (which is in the classic ASP page) if the .net object returned true.I don't know if that can be done .. I just know I'm able to return the TRUE value using the xmlHTTP ajax object but I only want to set visibility of a link rather than xmlHttp.open to redirect to another page.
