Apr 7, 2010I have a list of attendees. I have a certificate template.
I need to print one certificate for each attendee and all the certificates should be printed by just one button click.

Now the question has been raised:
Is it possible for us to test for the presence of this certificate from our asp.net code behinds?
We don't want to switch our security to require client certificates to access the site, there are just parts of some pages that we'd rather not display if the person viewing the site is not using a company issued machine.

We have a controlled list of the users (It s an Extranet solutions for our collaborators)
We need to develop some new web pages (not all) some of which require the user accessing the web page to fill out some form and sign it using his digital signature/certificate. Each customer has their own certificate which he has on his computer (either as a local desktop file or the certificate may be probably integrated into the browser certificates via browser advanced options).
In other words:
1- Allow a client visiting some of the web pages to digitally sign the form before submitting it to our web server (the signature is his specific certificate)
2- Send either the form and the certificate or the html encrypted with his certificate to the web server
3- Read and identify the certificate on the web server (C# code)

Jun 24, 2010I am working with asp.net 2.0 project. I have a gridview in one of my forms which contains list of people who are late in payments. Now when I select an item in the grid and hit open it opens a letter to be sent to that person. The user can go and hit print in the letter form and the letter gets printed.
Now the user wants to select multiple items from the list and hit "print All" on the grid page and get all the letters printed silently for all the selected items in the grid.

Jan 23, 2011If I'm taking a password on a page, should that page be served via https and exactly how dangerous is it not to? I've tried googling this but every guide just says that ssl certificates "stop hackers seeing sensative data" with no real description of how they would do this or exactly how vulnerable your site is as a result of not having ssl.Could someone summarize how easy it is for someone to steal passwords on non-https pages? Should i even be considering doing a login page without one?
