Web Forms :: Retrieve The Value Associated With A Checkbox On Treeview?
Aug 10, 2010
I'm trying to find a way to retrieve the value associated with a checkbox on my treeview on the check event. The OnCheckChanged event doesn't appear to work, everyone seems to be using javascript. I can get the thing to postback using javascript ... ideally I just want the value of the checkbox that was selected.
i have 5 checkboxes in webform and textbox1. when i search the record using the date specified in textbox1 when i enter 11-Dec-2010 in Textbox1 and click on submit button then checkbox1, checkbox2, and checkbox3 will be disabled and unchecked. and after tat when i type 13-Dec-2010 in Textbox1 and click on submit button then checkbox1, checkbox4, and checkbox5 will be disabled and unchecked .....and all the checkbox of 11-Dec-2010 will be enabled for 13-Dec-2010 I M CURRENTLY WORKING IN ASP.NET (VB)
My Datbase structure : ID Name Seats Date 1 Sumit 1,2,3 11-Dec-2010 2 Mili 1,4,5 13-Dec-2010
Example of this is that site have a look to know more : what i want : [URL]
I have the following code which creates a treeview of a folder and files on my PC. The front-end code is the following:
[Code]....
I have following in the code-behind file:
[Code]....
The result is a web page that allows me to navigate down to individual music files within various folders. Beside each music file is a checkbox. What I want to do is select several files and then click a button that will move the selected files from their existing location to another location. I'm running into two problems. One, whenever I add any control that performs a postback, the treeview doesn't repopulate. Two, I don't know how to retreive the values of the checked checkboxes.
I have used treeview control with checkbox for my web application tool in listing the categories. I have used java scripts to select only one checkbox to be selected in my treeview category. Now after completing my operation i want to uncheck the checkbox ( tick mark) in the treeview checkbox control? Can any1 suggest some solution...? I am trying this for past 1 week...
and added the items to parent node and child Nodes Now how i loop through the treeview to get the checked items?May i have to find the checkbox in treeview and then loop through the treeview and find if Checkbox is checked then print the name suggest me best practice for getting checkbox checked treeview Nodes
i got checkbox in gridview which put inside the itemtemplate. the problem is when i tick on the checkbox, the value for checked property still is a false value. Wat;s wrong?
If GridViewRDR1_Hidden.Rows.Count > 0 Then For Each row As GridViewRow In GridViewRDR1_Hidden.Rows Dim cb As CheckBox = CType(row.FindControl("chkstatus"), CheckBox ) If cb.Checked Then MsgBox("True") End If Next End If
I am trying to edit data using checkbox value. Firstly, I created popup window which using querystring some data from main page. In popup window, I want to change the checkbox value. For example, I made setSpare column and given the value to show bit data type such as 0 or 1 using checkbox(false or true). If some data has non setSpare(means 0), it wil lbe come out uncheckbox. If I want to check it and clicking submit button, It was not change. I am going to show the code below.
public partial class AddSpare : BasePage { string ObjectId; protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { ObjectId = Request.QueryString["ObjectId"]; displayComInfo(ObjectId); } protected void displayComInfo(string ObjectId) // it informed relative data on web through using DB. { string query = "usp_ShowComputerList"; try { using (SqlConnection conn = new SqlConnection(ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["SCSConnectionString2"].ConnectionString)) { SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand(query, conn); cmd.CommandType = System.Data.CommandType.StoredProcedure; SqlParameter paramobjectId = cmd.Parameters.Add("@ObjectId", System.Data.SqlDbType.Int); paramobjectId.Value = ObjectId; conn.Open(); SqlDataReader dr = cmd.ExecuteReader(); if (dr.Read()) { ModelTxt.Text = dr["Model"].ToString(); ModelTxt.ReadOnly = true; ComputerTxt.Text = dr["ComputerName"].ToString(); ComputerTxt.ReadOnly = true; userTxt.Text = dr["UserName"].ToString(); userTxt.ReadOnly = true; ntTxt.Text = dr["NtLogon"].ToString(); ntTxt.ReadOnly = true; HDDTxt.Text = dr["HddSize"].ToString() + "GB"; HDDTxt.ReadOnly = true; RAMTxt.Text = dr["MemorySize"].ToString() + "GB"; RAMTxt.ReadOnly = true; SerialNoTxt.Text = dr["SerialNo"].ToString(); SerialNoTxt.ReadOnly = true; TextBox1.Text = dr["Spare"].ToString(); inputChkSpare.Checked = (bool)dr["Spare"]; //(bool)dr["Spare"] display false or true. dr.Close(); } } } catch (Exception ex) { MessagePanel1.Type = MessageType.Error; MessagePanel1.Text = MessagePanel1.Text = "This is an error." + ex.Message; } } protected void okBtn_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { string query = "usp_SetSpare"; try { using (SqlConnection conn = new SqlConnection(ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["SCSConnectionString2"].ConnectionString)) { SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand(query, conn); cmd.CommandType = System.Data.CommandType.StoredProcedure; SqlParameter paramobjectId = cmd.Parameters.Add("@objId", System.Data.SqlDbType.Int); SqlParameter paramspare = cmd.Parameters.Add("@spare", System.Data.SqlDbType.Char); paramobjectId.Value = ObjectId; if (inputChkSpare.Checked == true) // if I change the check box, it does not bring the changed value. It will bring the above value(already displayed thing) { paramspare.Value = "1"; } else { paramspare.Value = "0"; } conn.Open(); cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); cancelBtn.Value = "Close"; okBtn.Enabled = false; MessagePanel1.Type = MessageType.Information; MessagePanel1.Text = "This computer is spare from now."; } } catch (Exception ex) { MessagePanel1.Type = MessageType.Error; MessagePanel1.Text = MessagePanel1.Text = "This is an error." + ex.Message; } }
what is the code to retrieve the id associates with each checkbox and read if whether each checkbox is checked or not in the controller action(I will need to get the status in both conditions, checked or unchecked )?
Periodically a rash of occurrences of the following error happen. I believe they're the result of hack attempts. Whether that's the case or not, my question is how can I handle the error? I want to avoid unhandled exceptions. The TreeView control is just a standard .Net TreeView control, not a custom one. If you suggest a code solution, please code it in VB.Net as that's what I'm using.

I have a treeview which will be generated dynamically which need to be displayed on left side and when user clicks on a node it need to open a page on the right side of the same page. and each node has different aspx page. so whenever user selects a node the page details should be displayed on the right side .we can use an iframe on the page which will display the different pages clicked on the node.Is there any alternative i can use to display different pages based on the user selection on the right side without using iframe.
I want to select all checkBox in Gridview when click to header checkBox.I have created design such that CheckBox is not available to header of Gridview. It is in other table. Below is design of gridview.
- How can I uncheck a checkbox using client side code when the other checkbox is checked? - Is there a way to check server side on form submission that at least one check box is checked?
I am displaying my table data using listview control. It is working fine.
Now I would like to add a checkbox in front of every item so then when user checks the checkbox and click on delete button inside or outside the listview control then i want all the records to be deleted.
I am absoluetly confused. My web app has a checkbox list that my code is looking to see if the user checked it. Like I said, very simple stuff... Here's the code:
If (chkLaunch.Items(1).Selected) Then Launch = 1 End If
The odd thing is that when it gets to this bit of code it just moves right past it like it wasn't checked. The same thing happens when I use a single checkbox (rather than a checkbox list). I've tried a bunch of different ways to make the code work but I'm left to the conclusion that I'm just not telling it to do this correctly. Either that or my project is messed up somehow.I say that my project is messed up because when I add an object to the page in Design mode, it doesn't write the source code. So when I save and close, all the modifications are mysteriously gone. This happens on multiple PC's...So, is the checkbox problem just me not doing something correctly or is my web project messed up?
I have a GridView that I was previously populating via an ObjectDataSource, and this code was working perfectly (ie, when the checkbox was checked Checkbox.Checked = true):
