<script>

How can I remove all html tags and script tags? consider also short tags like unclosed tags
<script>blah...</script>
<body> aaa<b>bbb</body>
This should return aaa bbb.
notice that all the contents inside the script tag is ignored.

$('#tree').jstree(
json_data: {
ajax: {
url: '<%=url %>',
dataType: "json",
data: function (n) {
return {
"id": n.attr ? n.attr("id") : 0
};
}
}
},
themes: { url: '/ThirdParty/jquery/jsTree/themes/', theme: "default", dots: true, icons: true },

I want regex operation for removing style tags,css,scripts and html tags from html to plain text in asp.net c#...
View 1 RepliesI am trying to build a white list. I am using html agility pack to remove all tags I do not allow. however this only gets ride of these type of script tags

I want to implement readmore/less feature. i.e I will be having html content and I am going to show first few characters from that content and there will be a read more link in front of it. I am currently using this code :
var txtToHide= input.substring(length);
var textToShow= input.substring(0, length);
var html = textToShow+ '<span class="readmore"> … </span>'
+ ('<span class="readmore">' + txtToHide+ '</span>');
html = html + '<a id="read-more" title="More" href="#">More</a>';
Above input is the input string and length is the length of string to be displayed initially. There is an issue with this code, suppose if I want to strip 20 characters from this string:
"Hello <a href='#'>test</a> output", the html tags are coming between and it will mess up the page if strip it partially. What I want here is that if html tags are falling between the range it should cover the full tag i.e I need the output here to be "Hello <a href='#'>test</a>" . How can I do this?
i'm doing ajax website using PostWebRequest() function, when i call any .aspx page to the target html element the output is coming fine in IE but in FF(FireFox) is coming in html format(html tags) IE output : [URL] FF output : [URL]
javascript functions :
function PostWebRequest(postPage, HTMLTarget, parameter) {
displayElement = $get(HTMLTarget);
displayElement.innerHTML = "<div style='text-align:center;'><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><img src='images/ajax-loader.gif' algin='center' /></div>";
var wRequest = new Sys.Net.WebRequest();
wRequest.set_url(postPage);
wRequest.set_httpVerb("POST");
var body = parameter;
wRequest.set_body(body);
wRequest.get_headers()["Content-Length"] = body.length;
wRequest.add_completed(onWebRequestCompleted);
wRequest.invoke();
}
function onWebRequestCompleted(executor, eventArgs) {
if (executor.get_responseAvailable()) {
if (document.all) {
displayElement.innerHTML = executor.get_responseData();
}
else {
displayElement.textContent = executor.get_responseData();
}
}
else {
if (executor.get_timeOut()) {
alert("Timed Out");
}
else {
if (executor.get_aborted())
alert("Aborted");
}
}
}
I am raising an event from the javascript function using the below code.
javascript:__doPostBack('<%=lnkSaveBtn.UniqueID %>','');
The event fires when using the below URL
http://localhost:2000/myProjectName/Home.aspx
But when i deploy the project on the production server, it does not raise the event although i have checked that the function getting called but the event is not raised.
In short
* javascript:__doPostBack('<%=lnkSaveBtn.UniqueID %>',''); in javscript works using http://localhost:2000/myProjectName/Home.aspx
*javascript:__doPostBack('<%=lnkSaveBtn.UniqueID %>','');not works when using http://machinename/myProjectName/Home.aspx
I have tried using javascript:__doPostBack('<%=lnkSaveBtn.ClientID%>',''); but still does n't work.
Here's the situation. I have an aspx page that is designed to receive a POST request with some XML values, parse the XML, grab the relevant items, and write them to the page. The problem arises when I try to launch the page using the POST request. When I launch using Fiddler, building the request manually and just pasting the XML in the body of the request everything works fine and dandy. When I launch the page from a basic HTML form, however, things don't go so great. The HTML form that I'm using looks like this:
[Code]....
When the page loads I get the error:
A potentially dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client Everything I've read so far has told me that the solution is to add ValidateRequest="false" to the page directive in the top of the .aspx file, or in the pages element of the web.config file. But neither of these work. Afterwards, I still get the same error. Any idea what I need to do to make this work?
Is it possible to send a html text entered in asp.net text box without making validaterequest to false.
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to manually call the ASP.NET (3.5) javascript postback function __doPostBack from my javascript code. The problem is that the postback script block, that is normally rendered right after the beginning of the <form> tag (and the hidden fields), is occasionally rendered near the closing </form> tag. Is there any way to force it to be rendered near the beginning of the form tag? Also, how does ASP.NET decide when/where to render the postback client script block?
Edit > Additional Info: The javascript code resides inside a user control that references the __doPostBack function. The control itself does not contain any 'postback controls' that would call that function. (When I mention 'postback controls', I mean ASP.net controls that call the __doPostBack function and not the asp.net ImageButton and Button controls)
Based on what I've observed and @Brian's comment on the dependency of the postback script on the availability of 'postback controls' on the page, I've found that when the page contains controls that cause postback, the __doPostBack script block is rendered after the opening <form> tag and when there are none, it renders them near the closing </form> tag (or according to this it's not even supposed to be rendered). Now it would make sense for ASP.NET not to render the postback script if there are no controls that require it, but the apparent position of the script near the closing tag is the one that still eludes me. I haven't been able to find any documentation that suggests this behavior. All I've been able to find was this.
Add a 'postback control' and set its visibility to hidden via css (not the Visible property). eg. <asp:LinkButton ID="RequirePostBackScriptLink" runat="server" style="display:none;" /> (this is what I'm using) Add the control to the Page.RegisterRequiresPostBack and implement the IPostBackDataHandler interface.
Finally, as @Jonathan_Bates mentioned in his post, the proper thing to do is to wrap the reference to __doPostBack inside a function that is an event handler to load (or ready if you're using jquery). That way, there wouldn't be a need to depend on the actual placement of the __doPostBack script.
so I've got some HTML that's generated dynamically. Part of it
StringBuilder.Append("<input type="button" onclick="Email_Clicked" value="Email" class="button" runat="server" />");
I need this to call C# method Email_Clicked
How can I accomplish this without asp:button control?
I have a textbox and i want the user to be able to submit a youtube embed code.
Is this possible without setting 'ValidateRequest' to false?
After upgrading our project to the .net 4.0 framework (from 3.5), we facing some problems with ajax calls with html in the parameters. As soon as the user enters some html in a text area the ajax call isn't executed anymore. If the user enters plain text only, there is no problem.

I have to break a HTML content string in to multiple lines. And each line should have some fixed characters, 50 or 60 Also I don't want to break the word..or html tags...
ex : <p>Email: <a href="mailto:someone@gmail.com">someone@gmail.com</a></p>
<p><em>"Text goes <font color=red>Hello world</font> Text goes here and Text goes here Text goes here 1976."</em> </p>
How can I acheive this in C#?
In VS2010, in html files, JS IntelliSense works in script tags, but not in inline event handlers (onclick="...") Is that expected behavior?
View 1 RepliesIs there anyway to access HTML tags using C#? For example, I am able to change the text of the ASP Label, but not the HTML label in the below example.

I have a form at which I use ckeditor. This form worked fine but now doesn't work in Asp.Net 4. I have ValidateRequest="false" directive.
View 3 RepliesHow to display HTML Tags in my asp.net page?
Example: I need to load the following text from DB and display it in my page.
<p> </p> <h1 style="text-align: center"><span style="background-color: yellow">Hello World</span></h1>
I have assigned it to a placeholder but it display as is not as tags.
I need to be able to insert HTML tags in some TextBox controls in a webpage. I know I can avoid the exceptions of type HttpRequestValidationException by changing the ValidateRequest property of the Page directive to false, as in
[Code]....
But that leaves all TextBoxes on the page open for HTML insertion, which I don't want. I need to be able to insert HTML in only some TextBoxes, not in all of them.Is there a way to accomplish that?

From database i am sending mails to some users with this content.so this shoulld generate the html tags like <b> <i> e.t.c before sitting in the table How to do this? I am using asp.net 2.0
View 3 RepliesThe pages text are modified and styled with an HTML editor (teleric). The resulting html is stored in a database. The html and style tags are stored with the text ofcourse.
Now, sometimes the HTML tags are DELETED from the text! I realize this has happened first when i see the page text totaly plain on the site. Then i go to the databse and check, and the HTML tags and styling is not there anymore!
The only thing i can think of that could be reason is a method i wrote to search in the text. It strips the texts from html tags so that only the main text will be used when searching for the string that the user has asked for. But the modified texts without HTML tags are not saved to the database. I use LINQ and i never call a SubmitChanges();

On my webpage i have labels showing data from database. Some values can have html tags in them, example <br>. When showing <br> in a Lable it converts it to next line. What do i need to do to make Label show <br> as "<br>" string?
