I have a listing using Array. Originally when coded, it limited the amount that could be listed. I've added to the list, but when I view it on the website, the last three items on the list don't show when I mouse over the list. How can I change the coding to allow for additions?

I have a grid with an template column and in that column I have text and icon, on icon mousehover (on mode) and mousehoverout (off mode) I am changing the icon.
Now when the user click on icon it opens a popup and the icon must be in "On" mode but if the user without closing clicks another row's icon then previous must be in off and current should be in on mode.

I've used the AJAX Slideshow Extender to create a very bare bones slideshow on the default page of my website. I have created a page function that returns an array of AjaxControlToolkit.Slide. When I manually create the array of slides, the slideshow works. However, when I use a LINQ query to build the array, the Slideshow doesn't display slides. I need to know what would be the best choice of array to use given the following specifications. This array's size will be predermined upon the loading of the appication. All I want to do is be able to add values to this array and replace preexisting array items with new values without the array changing size. Someone suggested that I use a Dictionary Array Object? What i need to do is to create a page where the xml file is loaded and if the give Node has childnodes it should be displayed as a link and after clicking a span or a div with childnode's value should appear under it and afte a second click it should "fold" back. I van use the __postback function from js but the problem is in the dymanic creation of the "child" divs. A portion of the xml file:

Given the sample above the value "Escort" should be displayed on page as a link and after clicking a div containing value of the Description node should appear but value "Puma" should appear in normal text as it doesn't have children.

My Intention is to be able to add an item with something like "0" as a value and "--- Choose Something---" as the item.
However, the control is filled using a SqlDataSource for the DataSource.
So, the question is:
Is it possible to insert the value "0" and item "--- Choose Something---" to the control even though the control has a datasource from the database?

I would lke to know how we can use update panel in the existing Project in VS 2005
which is built before 3 years(VS 2005 but without ajax-enabled website template) and this project has had never used script manager.
Now I want to add script manager in this project .
But it shows me error 'Element Scriptmanager is not a known element'.
Is it possible to use the update panel now if yes what changes should I do in web.config to use it.

I am modified CreateUserWizard Template to accept additional user information such as address, city, state and zip. I wanna store this additional data into a table i create call UserInformation. The table has UserId as it's primary key and it's also a foregin key to apsnet_Users. The tables also has an Address, city, state and zip column/field. I have an Asp.net panel control. In that markup I have an image button control. My image button when clicked will not call my Java Script method unless the image button control is wrapped with a div or table <td> tag.
That is fine with me. However Just to the left of my image button I have a label control that must be on the same line/row of my image button. If I wrap both the label control and image control in a div or td tag then
my Java Script method is not called. So somehow wrapping the label tag with a div or td results in the short
circuiting of calling my Java Script method.
Why is this? I must have my label and image button control on the same line, so that is the requirement.
I tired using a span tag instead of a div, but that does not work. Below is my Asp.net markup code.

View 7 RepliesI have this code for changing a user's password when they click the password reset button (with extra code to log to ELMAH so I can try to figure out what is going wrong).
This is in ASP.NET MVC 2, using the standard aspnet membership provider, with a simple View like this:
New Password: ______
Confirm Password: ______

The route to this view is `/Account/Reset/guid`, where guid is the user's id in the aspnet membership database.
The key portion of the code is where it calls `user.ChangePassword()`. You can see that it logs a message when successful. The problem is that for some users, the success message is logged, but they can not log in with the new password. For other users it logs the success message and they can log in.

i have only one element in drop downlist so selection index change is not working. the datasource is given to run time. if it was on designing time i can give the select one list item. but at run time what should i do?
View 4 RepliesAs been requested, I wrote some code which basically change the document's date (the document of umbraco blog).
I have changed every place I can find the date, and makes all the date displays fine, and I have adjusted the path to make it correct.
Now, the url indicated in the umbraco.library.NiceUrl(id) is not working, but previous url is still working.... Just wondering is there any file which 'temporarily' or 'permanently' store the friendly url mapping? if so, how can i modify that?!
Btw, where is the umbraco cache file stored?
btw, umbraco version 4.0.3, restart the website still not working, change the document title will result in old url's title changed, but new url is still not working...
