I have an asp.net page in 3.5 that I have a pay pal button on but when I click on the button it just refreshes the page. I think I need to encapsulate the paypal button in something so it is not trigging the refresh but goes to pay pal. Can I use an updatePanel or iframe?
View 3 Replies I was having trouble getting my shopping cart to connect to paypal. So I wrote a simple webform that has one button and one label. If I comment out the response.redirect(url) and look at the content that get written to Lable1.Text it looks find. Also, if I copy the content of the label and paste it into my web browser it goes to Paypal and displays correctly.
However, if I uncomment the response.redirect(url) I get the following error: ERROR: Unable to Send to PayPal - Thread was being aborted.
I am testing from localhost??? Should I be able to test this from localhost?
I have put ??? where my Sandbox email address is.....I don't know if letting other see that or not is an issue....otherwise I would have left it in for someone to try this code.

How do you add a PayPal button inside of a content detail of a master page. Since a MasterPage automatically encapsulates and nests ALL of the code of its contentplaceholder, by definition...all design and coding in a contentplaceholder cannot encorporate a form. This is true because w3 specs do not allow the nesting for forms.

I found this post which takes a different approach of sending these hidden fields instead as a query string to paypal. Not sure I like that though as would this not possiby explose some of those fields like the return page?

Basically what id like to do change the important parts of the button and info I'm sending to make it dynamic.I know I can do something like this in the markup, but that would mean having to fetch data mulitple times was hoping I could somehow adderss the field values directly in the codebehind. Or possibly dynaically generate and insert the entire changing input type fields from the codebehind

I have a Master page and a user control on it.and i have a ASP Button on Usercontrol,the has to fire when ever i click on thats the default behaviour ..Now when the home page of my website loads and then i click on the button ,It works perfectly fine but when i navigate to other pages which have same master page the and then click on button the button does no trick!!

When the selection of the radio buttons change I would like to show/hide the panel in the next table cell. I have it hiding and showing fine but each time it causes the page to refresh to the top. Is their a way to stop that refresh? I would like to hide and show the panel dynamically.

Im using two update panels here, when i click "Button2" then "UpdatePanel2" was refreshed, if i click "Button1" then both update panel were refreshed, but my need is if i click "Button1" then "UpdatePanel1" have to be refreshed.

View 1 RepliesI have a web form with some labels, textboxes, buttons and a gridview. The gridview has AllowPaging ="true". Girdview displays record numbers (hyperlinked), When I click on a record number in the grid view it populates textbox1. Then I hit the 'Search button to auto populate the form the that record data from the database.
My problem is when I am on say 5th page on my grid view and click a record number to go in textbox1, and then click on the search button to auto populate the form, the gridview goes back to page 1.
How do I make the search button not reset/refresh the gridview?
How do you get dropdown lists to refresh after a submit button has been clicked and the radgrid has been populated? Basically I have built a search tool which allows users to select the items from a dropdown list, click a button their results are displayed in a grid.
