C# - Creating A Jpeg From Several Overlapping Png's?
Jan 18, 2010
So on my site, a user has the ability to create an avatar. It's created by the user selecting from several images; there is a base "skin" image, and png's that overlap that image that depict hair, eyes, mouth, etc.
I cannot save the user's avatar to the project's files, so the user's avatar data is stored in the database, and the png's are overlapped on the fly and displayed to the user.
However, I'd like to have the ability for the user to download their avatar as a jpeg by going to a page.
I have this little example set up that is working correctly:
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
//User has skin1.png, eyes3.png, and mouth8.png
Bitmap bit = new Bitmap(System.Drawing.Image.FromFile(Server.MapPath("/images/skin1.png")), 80, 106);
Response.ContentType = "image/jpeg";
bit.Save(Response.OutputStream, ImageFormat.Jpeg);
}
But, as you can see, I only have this working for a single image. I'd like to create a bitmap from the multiple png's and output a jpeg.
I am having an issue with my menu bar and my header image. I want the menu bar to sit on top of the image as to appear as though they are one. Is there anyway to accomplish this in the design mode?
I am using the asp.net mvc with the Entity Framework.I have a list of appointments with a startedat field, an endedat field and a roomid field (called SpaceConfigurationId) and would like to find the list of appointments that have been double booked for a given room. It is fine to assume that endedat is always after startedat.There are 4 cases to would allow an appointment to be matched:
appointment a starts before appointment b starts and ends after appointment b starts and before appointment b ends appointment a starts after appointment b starts and before appointment b ends and ends after appointment b ends appointment a starts before appointment b starts and ends after appointment b ends appointment a starts after appointment b starts and before appointment b ends and ends after appointment b starts and before appointment b ends
I would like the list of appointments that meet any of those requirements. It seems simple but is actually a bit of a mind game. I had a look at intersect but didn't seem to get anywhere.I have the following variable defined and would like to return a list.
How to overlap textbox on dropdownlist, i.e. suppose if i check any item from dropdownlist, the item should display on textbox and dropdownlist dropped items should not visible in dropdownlist(textbox and dropdownlist items should display at the same place)
the problem with the above is when i put above controls in gridview and try to scroll the gridview, then the textbox data is fixed not scrolling with the gridview. how to scroll the textbox data along with the gridview.
Me with C# asp.net 2.0 In my application I have 2 web pages and 1 folder, the folder may contain a jpeg or bmp or pdf file. when I click a button in the the first web page how can I open the 2nd web page and show the file in the folder.
i want to upload files that are only jpeg, jpg etc. But i couldn't filter the files in the opening window. I want to change the text "all files" to jpeg etc. in the asp.net. (C#)
I have an ASP.NET website where we are generating pdf's and web pages using crystal reports. One of the requirements we have is for in the pdf's to have a map of NY state with markers on it that are placed based on GIS Coordinates. For the web page we can do this easily with google maps. if there are any third party map generating solutions that can do this? We currently use map info and google maps, but I dont think either are capable of doing this?
how to read image in cell of the excel sheet. This sheet contain .jpeg formated images. I want as they are means in jpeg format. i am using asp.net and c# for this.
I have an application with a FileUpload control. The code behind saves the uploaded file (which I've stipulated in the code must have a ".jpeg" extension) to the webserver's hard disk. Details about the image, such as its ID, Title, Description and Upload date are saved in an MS SQL Server database. Nothing difficult here.
What I'd like to do instead... is take the uploaded image (which will be a "large", high-quality image), save this as above but ALSO dynamically resize and resample a copy of this image and store a thumbnail of it on the webserver hard drive as well.
I can't find a post which explains how to do this in this forum group. Can anyone point me in the right direction for an answer. I am using Visual Studio 2008, ASP.NET 3.5 and Visual Basic.NET 2008.
I need to write a routine which uploads a largish (2-4 meg) jpg photo and shrink it down to a small size. Adobe image ready does what I need but I need to develop it in my web application. Basically I need to reduce the image file size so it is web friendly.
I'm very new to ASP.net, so I'm just figuring this out.First off, I have multiple separate projects that will be hosted on the same server.Second, they must be able to share certain settings (like connection string, configuration options, etc).Third, those shared settings must be configurable for different deployments (test, prod, etc).
I need to be able to export PDF's that I am creating to JPEG, so that users can have a screenshot/thumbnail of the end product, which is faster than opening the whole PDF.
I am running this on an ASP.NET website running in Medium Trust in the Rackspace Mosso Cloud.
I have yet to find a library that will either work in Medium trust, or in the case of ABC PDF, which works great locally, wont load in Mosso. Maybe Mosso has a custom trust level?
I know that iTextSharp works on Mosso, but I haven't been able to figure how to "screenshot" a single page of a PDF, or export a page to JPEG.
I want to convert all data present in div to jpeg.I mean image,text or whatever i write inside div tag.You have given me previous cod e which only convert text to image.
I have many (>600) EPS files(300 KB - 1 MB) in database. In my ASP.NET application (using ASP.NET 4.0) I need to retrieve them one by one and call a web service which would convert the content to the JPEG file and update the database (JPEGContent column with the JPEG content). However, retrieving the content for 600 of them itself takes too long from the SQL management studio itself (takes 5 minutes for 10 EPS contents).
So I have two issues:-
1) How to get the EPS content ( unfortunately, selecting certain number of content is not an option :-( ):-
Approach 1:-
foreach(var DataRow in DataTable.Rows) { // get the Id and byte[] of EPS // Call the web method to convert EPS content to JPEG }
or
foreach(var DataRow in DataTable.Rows) { // get only the Id of EPS // Hit database to get the content of EPS // Call the web method to convert EPS content to JPEG }
or
Any other approach?
2) Converting EPS to JPEG using a web method for >600 contents. Ofcourse, each call would be a long running operation. Would task parellel library (TPL) be a better way to achieve this?
Also, is doing the entire thing in a SQL CLR function a good idea?
EDIT :- Unfortunately, I have to do this in the ASP.NET application itself and doing that in a separate process like Windows service is not an option.
My website provides a facility to upload images, using the ASP.NET FileUpload control. We accept both jpeg and tiff formats but I have just decided that all tiffs should be converted to jpegs at the time of upload. If possible, I want to avoid saving the original tiff to disk. I would any sample coding for achieving this conversion prior to saving (ideally in VB.NET, though I could always run C# code through a converter).

Please help to understand this RegEx statement in details. It's supposed to validate filename from ASP.Net FileUpload control to allow only jpeg and gif files. It was designed by somebody else and I do not completely understand it. It works fine in Internet Explorer 7.0 but not in Firefox 3.6.
i'm developing a site using VS2010 and with my windows vista busniness OS. i used the default VS2010 wizard for new web application to create it. included a folder in the root directory and created new aspx pages to derive from the master page in the root directory of my site. everything shows on the new pages except the jpeg image logo in the master page. But other aspx pages i created in the root directory shows every thing fine.
new to creating a web site. I bought "Build your own asp.new 2.0 website using c# & Vb." and I'm using Visual Studio 2005.
The book seems good so far but I'm now having a problem. I think I need to use "User Sessions" but I can't get them to work. The code works fine using Applications but when I change to Sessions, when I go into a page the value is always null.
I need "using System.Web.SessionState.HttpSessionState" defined but there doesn't seem to be anything after "System.Web.SessionState".
I've tried using the counters example in the book but with Session I only ever get 1 coming up which is the reset value when the Session["xxx"] is null.
