I searched all on the net & find the above soln,But its not refreshing.when i click on button1,then some Pop up appears see in Pic(with buttons Retry & Cancel). When i click on Retry again the child window loads Then again i click on button1,again popup appears & so on & on.
On successfull update a popup is appearing that "Data updated Successfully." with the Ok button. I used following piece of code:

View 1 RepliesI have a gridview that is loaded inside a panel that is displayed using a ModalPopUpExtender. I have added in code (a div statement) to allow the gridview to have scrollbars. Doing so causes any button click to close the ModalPopUpExtender instead of proceeding on with the button click event. If I remove the scrollbars it works just fine and proceeds on just as if the user clicked the button.
How can I use the scroll bars and have the system not close the ModalPopUpExtender?
I have a login page that is loaded in popup window (colorbox) and after user logs in it should be closed and parent window should be loaded with new page.

and when the child window opens, it contains the grid view where we can select the relevant information and we hav to send this to the parent window
everything is working fine,but when we send the values to the parent page, all the text boxes and controls in the parent page are getting refreshed. and its being a problem, that the user has to re enter the data.

It works fine normally. However, when I enter an invalid password and there is an error message displayed, the Javascript attached to the Cancel button click stops firing.

Is it possible to use buttons in a modal popup window and not have the window close after the postback?
View 2 RepliesI have a parent window from which i open a modal dialog on button click. In WinXP with IE8 it works just fine, but in Win7 with IE8, upon opening the modal dialog it brings me to the login screen. If i enter my credentials, close the dialog and open it again, it works.
The explanation i figured out is that the session isn't transfered between parent and child. The modal is opened with javascript window.open function.
I don't want to store the credentials in a cookie and then read it in my modal because it's a security no-no. Is there an explanation why this is happening in Win7 and not in XP and is there a resolution for this issue?
