I have hosted my website on godaddy and referenced MYSQL.Data.dll. This works fine on localhost. However when i try to run the same code online it throws the following error. System.Security.SecurityException: That assembly does not allow partially trusted callers.
I have downloaded the MqSQL.Data code version 6.2.4. which already has using System.Security; and [assembly: AllowPartiallyTrustedCallers()].
I got the login to work fine- go to [URL]if you want to give it a try. Here is the thing. The profile functionality doesn't work. It draws from the same set of files, it used the same connection string as the users, it work on my local machine, but blows up on GoDaddy because it cannot find the file, and when it tries to create it. The file it uses for the profile, aspnet_Profiles, is on there along with the rest of the membership files. The connection string is not defined individually. Why is it finding the user files, but not the profile file.

10 years ago I took over admin control of my own website that I have with networksolutions. When I change from one isp to another I simply make my own changes to the url with networksolutions and direct it at any old server I want.
i was just using mysql i installed mysql and mysql net connector. its installed successfully but unable tp add to references.

I am starting to build a website project for personal use to learn ASP.NET more in depth. I am wanting to use MySQL as a database since I have a friend thats a MySQL admin guy at his job. But I only have Web Developer Express 2010 and cant get the MySQL plugin to use the Entity Framework with MySQL. I am trying to implement the Ajax HtmlEditor into my application. I currently am using a regular TextBox to load and save some data to some EMail template files and had to do some work-arounds to get it to accept the HTML Input. I am trying to upgrade it to use the Editor, but as soon as I insert the Editor and do a PostBack, I receive the Security Exception below. There is absolutely no change to the code-behind, so I don't understand the issue. There is so little on Google for the Version 3.5 Editor that I'm stumped. I have Debugging enabled, but it won't give me the Soruce Error either.

View 3 RepliesWhy does a very simple script which inserts 26,000 records into a mysql database (myisam, no transactions) take 13 seconds in the php implementation, and then 35-50 seconds using mono+mysql connector? I thought asp.net was faster than php? Could the problem be the mono mysql connector is "platform independent", so the performance just stinks? or does asp.net suffer more overhead than php when it comes to executing each query? Aren't there any native linux binaries for mysql connector for mono that may be faster?

If I remove the Transaction Code from within the the application, it works OK by displaying the MYSQL data (Read Only) in the layout of the application. I am using Mysql Essential-4.1.22-win32 and MYSQL Connector ODBC-3.51.2. My objective is to EDIT the MYSQL Data.
View 8 RepliesI'm getting this exception randomly in one webservice, it used to happen in the first call only, and in the second calls and so on it works fine ... and after a while without use the webservice it happens again. It seems to be that when the AppDomain is not loaded, the first time fails... and subsequent calls are ok; when IIS shutdown the AppDomain... the next call will fail again.

I have been chasing this erorr all day and coming up blank. I created a stored proceudre(fairly complicated logic), added it to the context, and set the return type to a specific entity type.

I have tested the stored procedure and it returns the results I want. When I make the service call from the controller, it doesn't error out, however, it should return 4 records in this instance and instead, it returns the same 4 records (repeating the first record 4 times). .........

Anyone had a similar error? I've seach the web / stackoverflow / NHibernate forums but only found people who had a problem when running in medium trust mode, not full trust. I've been developing for several months on this application on this machine with previous versions of Fluent NHibernate and NHibernate.
The machine I'm running this on is 64-bit, you never know that this is relevant.

The solution to this, as provided by a quick Googling, is to use caspol.exe to add full trust to the recaptcha.dll assembly. C:\%path%caspol -af C:inetpubwwwroot\%path%in ecaptcha.dll At this point, I get the following error: ERROR: This assembly is not strong name signed Short of downloading the source code and recompiling it locally, is there any other way to get this working?
