I have an ASPXGRIDVIEW which is binded to an SQL query.I added to the grid an additional COLUMNCUSTOMBUTTON.But what happens is, that for all the rows it put a link there.I am trying to find a way to add to this column a link (button) ONLY to specific rows!I am unable to understand how to do it

There filter parameters should come from the FilterRow of the AspxGridView (preferably using the AspxGriedView.FilterExpression property). The problem: the AspxGriedView.FilterExpression property is not set to the proper values (set by the user). Did anyone find a good implementation of what I'm trying to do here?

I have one sharepoint custom page application which is rendering from a user control. In the user control page, i had used SPGridview for displaying data. My first column is Title Column (link button column), when the user click on the link, then one popup window will open with corresponding data. But the problem is the link button is not working properly. But this application is working as fine in asp.net application.

If i click on the link button, there will be only post back occuring. but not the popup window open.
I am currently using DevExpress ASPxGridView and want the selection check box to show a redcross image on selection or empty when unselected. Is there any javascript library to do such a thing. If so can you provide me an example.

I have a datagrid control, the first column is Revno, currently presenting info in linkbutton. i want to do a condition based on another field docid, which gets true or false value from database. if true then present Revno in linkbutton otherwise show the revbnno just as a label., thatway users does'nt have ability to clickit.

I'm currectly tryin to access a specific value in my database in a specific column. I'm tryin to use the primary key of the table to access the actual value in the row of that ID.

Just iterates through the table and looking for any row with the boolean 'checkin' value is True, then it takes the 'id' value of that row and stores it into an array. Is there a way that I can access a another entry, and only that entry, in the table with the 'id' stored in the array?
Like if my data base contained and int, primarykey, `id` value, a boolean, `checkedin` value, and a `time` value, is there a way to access, lets say, the row with `id` equalling 3 and and the checkIn value from that row?
I'm currently working on a small project and therefore created a gridview, including one bit column which has been linked with a checkbox in both the itemtemplate as the edititemtemplate (autopostback = true).Databinding for these two checkboxes has been linked (two-way) to the bit column.Now I want to display the gridview to end-users. They should be able to just click on the checkbox so they value in the database column gets changed as well (as I want to run update queries behind it), but not passing via the command column 'EDIT'.=> problem I'm having now is that the bit column in the database doesn't get updated.

Here is my requirement -
1. I need to load a user control on link click event of a link button during postback of aspx page.
2. On button click event of a save button on that aspx page, I need to read the selected values from that user control on further postback.
If I write the loadcontrol code in link_click event, the control is not recognized at all in the button_click event. When I shift it to page_init and execute only during not postback, the user control loads with default values.

The data source has a lot of records. At least 25,000. Because of this, I want to allow the user to filter by state. I want to provide a drop down list with a list of states. When a user changes the drop down list, the results in the grid view will be filtered by the selected state. However, I do not know how to do this with a SqlDataSource.
I'm adding hotkeys to a web application in order to enable keyboard shortcuts for our CSRs to use, to reduce injury and increase calls-per-hour. I'm using an ASP.net UserControl to inject javascript into the page and it's working great. I want the control to "just work", so that when hotkeys are assigned, using a declarative syntax, if the hotkeyed letter exists in the link text, it will be highlighted automatically, so the developer doesn't have to do anything, and also to maintain consistency in visual cues. Here's the code to assign hotkeys, if it matters:

but I'm not married to the idea of injecting a <span/> in there if there's a better way. How can I do this in CSS or JQuery? Is there a way to pass in a letter to a CSS style and have it change the color of the text displayed? Should I generate javascript to highlight the text when the page loads? What would/did you do in this situation?
I'm currently using ASP.NET MVC 2 and the spark view engine. The main master page (application.spark) contains all of the CSS link tags that need to be present for all pages (global stuff). However, I have some content pages that have page specific CSS tags and currently I'm just sticking the link tag in the body as something like:

My problem is that when the page renders, this tag ends up in the which is not where it needs to be. Is there a solution for this?
I had was to check the controller in the Application.spark page and write out which page specific css file is required for that particular controller, however, that solution doesn't seem to scale well and I would imagine there is some way of creating the link in the child page and having it render where it's supposed to by the browser.

I have a rad grid, i have bounded the columns in the grid using GripBoundColumns which shows me dropdown cloumns when i edit the record, Insert/update/delete are working fine for me.
My question is it possible to insert new data into the column(Not the whole record just only to one column) when i edit the record.
For example...
suppose i have 5 columns (Client Name, Account No, Account name, account status, Custodian Dealer) CustodianDealer is my drop down coloumn and data for it comes from different table when i edit or insert a new record in the grid, i can select the existing Custodiandealers in the table.
now if i want to insert a new record to the custodianDealer table not to the grid, how can i acheive it
