I have a GridView inside of an UpdatePanel and the buttons for edit and delete into a templatefield
For the delete button, I also have a modalPopup extender and a confirmButtonExtender, due to the problem of the pannels flashing momentarily (and that is very ugly) I have created a css class with display:none
for the delete button I have created a javascript function called changeVisibility(id) to change the visibility
Here ir some code:
[Code]....
The problem is that when I execute the page, imagebutton onclientclick appears like this:
onClick=""
why is asp.net not processing correctly that, and, if you know another way to hide the panels before they flash on startup,

public void pdfgenforffd(TextBox TextBox3, HiddenField HiddenField1, HiddenField HiddenField4, AjaxControlToolkit.HTMLEditor.Editor Editor1)
{
HttpContext.Current.Response.Clear();
HttpContext.Current.Response.ContentType = "application/pdf";
[Code]....
i am using the above code for pdf generation from html text in HTMLEditor(ajax control). If i hardcode a table with each column of different width, into HTMLEditor text than while generating pdf the column get devided equally i.e all column have fixed size on pdf even if i specify some custom width for each column.
I want to generate pdf that can convert html to pdf,also divide table column with specified width. How to do it?

I have a route (the first one listed) which looks like this:
routes.MapRoute(
"TopicRoute", // Route name
"forums/{forumSlug}/{topicSlug}", // URL with parameters
new { controller = "Forums", action = "Topic"} // Parameter defaults
);
I can browse to: /forums/my-forum/my-topic and the page loads fine. Yet I have a Html.ActionLink that looks like: @Html.ActionLink(item.Title, "Topic", new { forumSlug ="my-forum", topicSlug = "my-topic" }) And it won't generate the correct link syntax for me? It generates: <a href="">My Topic</a>

I need to get data from a database and I need to spit out this data in html formatk using my command line app. For this I am planning to use some sort of template-engine. I was wondering if there is anything in .NET that can do this for me?
The best option would be if I could reuse the asp.net mvc template engine (razor) in my app, this way I should not need to reinvent the wheel.

I am creating an HTML document which we are then pushing out to MS Word using a "application/msword" content type. This works so far except that the files open in Word with Web View. Once Normal View is selected all works fine. Is there any way to force Word to open with Normal View instead of Web View?

The purpose is to generate proposal documents that can manually be edited in Word after the fact, but before sending them out to the customers.
Much proposal content would be drawn from existing HTML website content (backing CMS) and also some custom (non-HTML) injection for certain scenarios. Of course the conditional logic could go into server-side ASP.NET to vary the content appropriately.
I'm open to 3rd-party tools if raw manipulation of the Word API is arduous. In fact a good 3rd party tool might be the answer.

Possible Duplicate: asp.net mvc: why is Html.CheckBox generating an additional hidden input
I'm rendering a checkbox in an asp.net mvc app, and the control is also outputting a hidden field like this:
<input id="blah-64" name="blah-64" value="true" type="checkbox">
<input name="blah-64" value="false" type="hidden">
Problem is, when I post the form, the form key "blah-64 returns "on, off".
Why is this?

I've been using EF as my primary ORM for quiet some time now. Today I decided to use EF Code First to create my model for my new project. So I went ahead and read a bunch of documents on MSDN and some blog posts by Scott Guthrie and others. Unfortunately, what I've read does not go beyond the basics of using Code First within an ASP.NET MVC application. But as you might know, in real-world applications the structure of the solution is a little different. Anyway, to make a long story short:
- I created all the POCO files that will be needed.
- I created the SharweEntities class which extends the DbContext class.
- I added the following connection string to my Web.config file
[Code]....
Then I started the application and checked whether a new database was created inside SQL Server 2008 Express, but found nothing. I'm not sure what's wrong but I suspect it might be the way I'm structuring my solution? Here's the structure:
- Sharwe.MVC : The ASP.NET MVC3 Web Application (has nothing except a HomeController and a corresponding simple view at the time being)
- Sharwe.Data : model class and data access logic (contains all the POCO classes and the SharweEntities class)
- Sharwe.Services : Business logic
Here's an image that shows the structure of my solution:

In some crucial projects I relelized that time is one of the biggest concern while developing a project, specially a web application. I specifically about ASP.NET, does any Open Source tools exists for generating code for helping developers [like codesmith] to work smarter rather than work harder?

For some reason fields named with '.value' or .anything does not generate client validation. For example this code:
@Html.TextArea("ContentObjectFirm.Description")
generates this:
<textarea rows="2" name="ContentObjectFirm.Description" id="ContentObjectFirm_Description" data-val-required="Firm description is required" data-val="true" cols="20">

I am dynamically generating script code to return transaction data to Google Analytics using their ecommerce script. The code that generates the script is fully tested and functional on my development machine and when I view the page code the script, along with any values that were passed to it, can be seen above the </form> tag. Happy days, or so I thought. For some reason the code is not being generated when I test it in a live, hosted environment. I cant figure out why this is the case as the code is quite simple. I simply generate the script code and register it on the client side (see code below)
//Capture the transaction data for analytics ecommerce tracking
//Generate the necessary script code
string strAnalyticsEcommerceScript = Analytics_Ecommerce_Script_Creator();
//Register the script on the page
Page.ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(this.GetType(), "AnalyticsScript", strAnalyticsEcommerceScript);
The page in question is called "Order-Successfull" and is where customers are sent to when they have succesfully payed for an order. On this page:
-The order is added to the orders database table
- The customer is emailed an order confirmation email
- The google analytics script is generated and registered
The Sequence is as follows:
[Code]....
Whats really interesting is that if I move the Analytics script creator code before the code that sends the emails, the script is generated and can be seen when I view the page code. If I do this, however, the emails do not get sent. If I lay the code out as per the code I have inserted in this post, the emails get sent but the script code is not placed on the page.. The code to that actually sends the emails is quite standard:
[Code]....

I have a designer working on several pages in Dreamweaver. The designer is creating .aspx files with the Page directive at the top. These are getting shipped to me and I'm adding them to the Visual Studio ASP.NET WebForms Web Application Project. The problem is that there's no code-behind file by default, and I'm trying to find a shortcut to have them autogenerated as if I've added a fresh page from Visual Studio.

how to generate HTML code from the code behind?
I would like to build a form that generate an html code inside a for loop.
I will let the user enter the photo name and No. of photos
Then I will generate an HTML code like this:
<a href="http://www.mzinj.org/images/gallery/Photo%20(1).jpg" target="_blank"> <img src="http://www.mzinj.org/images/gallery/Photo%20(1).jpg" alt="" width="345" height="247" /> </a> <br /> <a href="http://www.mzinj.org/images/gallery/Photo%20(2).jpg" target="_blank">
<img src="http://www.mzinj.org/images/gallery/Photo%20(2).jpg" alt="" width="345" height="247" /> </a> <br /> <a href="http://www.mzinj.org/images/gallery/Photo%20(3).jpg" target="_blank"> <img src="http://www.mzinj.org/images/gallery/Photo%20(3).jpg" alt=""
width="345" height="247" /> </a> <br />
depending on the No. of the photos the code will be duplicated in the loop
Then I will display the result of the loop in label or in a textarea to let the user copy it any where
The problem is that while compiling my code it considers the HTML code as a part of the behind file and gives errors on the single quote, the double quote and on the parentheses

I can't write in english well, but I must try to have an answer for my problem.I have a problem that I have not found a solution, regarding the integration of C # code in the HTML code .aspxI want to do a loop on the
<ajaxToolkit:TabPanel of <ajaxToolkit:TabContainer to have several tabs by a few existing data in a DB table.
Here is a moceau of my code:
[Code]....
This code gave me this error:
Message d'erreur de l'analyseur: 'TabPanel_<%= idMagasin %>' n'est pas un identificateur valide.Translation: Message parser error: 'TabPanel_ <% = idMagasin%>' is not a valid identifier.I removed idmagasin like this:
[Code]....
System.ArgumentException: Une entrée avec la même clé existe déjà .
Translation:
System.ArgumentException: An entry with the same key already existsThe result is that I found a great problem to insert a C # code in the HTML code .aspx unlike others languages like PHP.

I am using gridview to bind my data since GridView could not load more than 2000 records and also it takes long time to load the data. I decided to go with XSLT transformation. Here is the problem .... I am able to transform 6290 kb of data ( into a html table formated like grid view ) with in 5 seconds but to assign that HTML table back to the innerHTML of a div tag is not responding...
What is the best method to push large amount data(HTML Code) from c# into aspx web page?
PS: I used DIV innerHtml and also Literal Control but both are very slow if the size of the table increases.
