There is a "Forgot password?" link on my login page which brings users to a page with a PasswordRecovery control. All of the sudden, I can't access it. It just posts back to the login page and adds the following query string to the URL when I click the hyperlink:?ReturnUrl=%2fSTARS-dev-source%2fForgotPassword.aspxI'm not doing anything in the Page_Load of ForgotPassword.aspx. Additionally, and most perplexing, in debug I put a break in the Page_Load of the Login, ForgotPassword, and Master pages as well as every method in my Global.asax file. It only breaks on the Login Page_Load. Effectively, all it does it post back to the login page when I click the hyperlink. The only time it will work is if I successfully login, then click the BACK button, then click the "Forgot Password?" link. It's like it requires you to be logged in to load the page, but I don't know why that would be. It never hits any Page_Loads.
I know red-gate's ANTS Performance Profiler but it works with source code. I have an ASP.NET web application that is deployed on a remote server. I'm going to test its performance while it is working on the server.
My main goal is to detect what method of what class is slow and then is a bottleneck. Is there a way or a tool?
I need to develop a project that needs to have a Ticker and an AdRotator, apart from some button controls and a banner.I have two options - ASP.NET and Windows Forms. With Windows Forms, I've been able to develop the Ticker, but I don't know how to develop the AdRotator. With ASP.NET, I'll have to develop Ticker using AJAX, whereas the AdRotator is already present.
The software is to be used as a standalone. I'm thinking of using Windows Forms for the development so that the requirements for the end-user is only the .NET Framework and not ths IIS plus the deployment would be easier. What should I use for the development? If you suggest Windows Forms, please throw some light for the development of AdRotator.Note: I don't have any knowledge on AJAX and I don't have much time for the development. Is it possible to develop the Ticker using some other technology other than AJAX ?

I looked at Google's, but my boss shot it down because it involves adding a script to every page you want to track. I keep searching the web, but the stuff I am finding seems to be crap or not work all together. This is mainly for internal sites, not external. Seems liek a lot of the stuff I am finding want to give me remote statistics to a publically available site.
I need to create a page rank tool in asp.net. Not sure if there is an API i would implement or URL i would call to get this info. Pretty much I need to write something like this:

My boss has it in his head that we need to be monitoring our websites more to see what king of traffic we are getting for but internal and external sites.
I tried some of the tools but they end up merging line by line rather than on the basis or CSS rules.
Now i thought i should right one good program to do following,
1. read CSS file convert in XML
2. sort it on the basis of CSS rule
Now write one more program to consume 3 XML files find different classes and merge the files nicely based on CSS rules.
How ever that turned out to be good amount of work and i hope there must be someone who must have faced this problem before me and solved it clean way.
I would to know the tool for this however i would also love to know how to design/code for this kind of tool? Am i thinking on right track ?

i would like to create a web application using DOJO. I'm an Asp.Net developer, but, about javascript framework, i really like Dojo instead the Ajax Control Toolkit by Microsoft. So i'm asking you if exists some Visual RAD Ide for (for example) Dojo, or maybe, how can i integrate / write Asp.Net database driven apps with Dojo? Is it possible and... simple?
I'am looking for a dynamic reporting tool for Asp.Net. Tool should support drag drop of data fields, simple grouping and simple expressions. Actually end users will use this tool for data listing. Rendering to html and pdf is enough.
