my application not working when I publish (only files needed to run this application) it to the server. I set wildcard mapping in IIS. I'm getting the error below:

I have a web app using validation control such requiredvalidator. When I run it from VS 2008 directly, it worked perfectly (validated the missing input). But the moment I published it to IIS, it does not validate it anymore..
View 2 RepliesIn the page element of my Style sheet, I have the width set to 1100 pixels. In VS, it works perfectly. When I debug it, no problem. But when I publish it to IIS, it reverts back to the default... 960 I think.

Login not working after publishing asp.net website
I am used default login control, form based authentication and default sqlmembership provider.but in local my site working fine,when i publish it locally in iis means,the login is not working , i don't know what is the reason?
So i've got a website i''ve been working on using the visual studio development server. When I published it to my web server, the menu control sub-items are not showing up in IE8. They do in firefox. They show in both just fine when working through visual studio.
My dev machine: studio 2008, windows 7 64bit
production server: server 2003 standard 32bit, iis6
Could it be a different version of the .net framework?
After months of work I thought I had finished with my web application using VS2008 with CSSFriendly menu. On publishing, the menu did not work and I got all sorts of errors. Deleting CSSFriendlyAdapters.browser in App_Browsers folder improved the layout but the menu was not rendered with css even though the html source shows thet are linked. On desperation, I changed the target Framework from 3.5 to 2.0 and then back to 3.5 with no avail.

I am setting up URL Routing on my existing project. I am not using mvc. The routing only working like this: [url] not working with single word like this: [url] I am getting error message: The resource cannot be found. Looks like when I using single word, application think that is folder?

I have an asp.net mvc 2 app (using .net 4.0) that isn't routing correctly when hosted in a virtual directory. I have the following simple routing rule:

I'm trying to resolve [URL]. Where "accounts" is a virtual directory. If I put the app in the root of an IIS website it routes fine for [URL], but if I put the app in a virtual directory I get 404 errors. I've debugged and it is executing global.asax and configuring routing when in the vdir. Is there something special I need to do for routing in a virtual directory? FYI. I'm using a vdir because the root has wordpress in it. one more thing is that if I specify a default action in parameter defaults, it will execute the default action/controller, but it never matches anything else.
I my webform asp.net project, I use web api controller to access the server data.I use framework 4.5. On localhost everything works, but when I publish to server I get 404 for [URL] ..... This is the code in file global.asax

I am using Visual Studio 2010 and ASP.NET 4.0 to build a WebForms project that uses the new routing features in System.Web.Routing. When I build my solution and run it from within VS.NET's debugging environment only routes with RouteUrl's that include a ".aspx" extension are being properly routed to the PhysicalFile. It appears requests made to other URLs are not being "detected" by the routing engine for processing. In the case below, "Scenario1" shows a 404 and "Scenario2" works properly.

Everything is working fine in my local machine, but it gives the following error in my hosting environment:
Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Routing, Version=3.5.0.0, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
I did everything inside my web.config file mentioned in the following link:

But I am still getting the above error.
What else am I supposed to do fix the error?
