Convert Vb File To Dll Or Encode(encrypt) Vb Source Code?

Is there anyway I can encode my asp.net source code?
I really don't want my customer to steal my vb source code. They refused to pay extra for the source code and license. So we need to convert vb file to dll or encode(encrypt) vb source code that no one can understand the logic or decode(decrypt).
I have developed one webApplication that i suppose to submit to my client but for security reason i want to convert all the .cs to dll file.example consider customer.aspx customer.aspx.cs here i donot want to provide customer.aspx.cs file to customer instead i want to give client as dll fileI i can do this, PLEASE HELP ME, IT IS VERY URGENT FOR ME, I WAS TRYED LAST 2 DAYS,
I know this might be a very basic question, but maybe thats why im having problems finding the answer. Right now I'm creating database connections in my source files by doing something like this:
SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection("Data Source=...Password=...); SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand(String.Format("SELECT * FROM Table;"), con); con.Open(); SqlDataReader reader = cmd.ExecuteReader();
But this means that if I choose to change databases it will be a major pain in the ass. Do you guys know how to use the connection string from a web.config file instead?
Have an issue with the HTML editor. Whenever somebody uses an apostophe ( ' ) in the editor and then clicks save (which will send an update to the database) it is taking the apostrophe as part of my command line and it is returning an error. I used a replace to change the apostophe into an encoded html tag but then it was changing it for all the <div> and <span> created by the editor which was causing none of the code to work. how I can encode the apostrophe without encoding the code? Here's my code:
how to make my source code to display on one line instead of multiple in source view. The display drives me batty when I'm trying to find something and I would prefer to display across the page instead of multiple lines down the page.
I am having an algorithm for validating my license file, i need to encrypt the license file validation code in my project, So that even the hacker decompile the dll, he could not decrypt the license validating code, is it possible?
A bit more background info as suggested:I'm finsihing of an Intranet CMS web app where I have to use the products API (ASP.NET based). Because of time constraints and issues with Windows authen' I need another way to ensure staff do not need to re login everytime they visit the site to view personalised content. The way it works is that once a user logs in (username/password), a Session ID storing a new different Security context value is generated that is used to display the personalised content. The API login method called uses the username and password as parameters. The only way I can think of automatically logging in the next time the staff visits the site is by storing the password in a enrypted cookie and checking of its existing when the site is visited and then calling the API login method using the username and decrypted password cookie values.Any other ideas as an alternative welcomed.'m using some code found on the web to encrypt and decrypt a password string. It encrypts fine but when it calls the code below to decrypt the string it throws the error "Length of the data to decrypt is invalid" How can I resolve this?
Do can i Encrypt my JScript code with using JQuery and Json? How can i Encrypt my JScript code? I dont want every one that use my JScript code can read my JScript source code.
Basically I want to take the following:And make it match the styling of the rest of the application.I am creating a custom error page in my C# based project and I want it to be able to show the same information that is displayed in the ASP.NET default error page. From fiddling with reflector I can see that this is generated through HttpException.GetHtmlErrorMessage() but when I try to use this in my exception it returns null.
look at the step 5 at "Using the Example Provider in an ASP.NET Application" element , I entered the command "
aspnet_regiis.exe -pe "connectionStrings" -app "/SessionState" -prov "TripleDESProvider" " at the windows command line, it asked me "The protection provider 'TripleDESProvider' was not found"
I make sure the files keys.snk and keys.txt are in the same folder and the file web.config is correct. Who can tell me the reason for the error and how do I handle with it?
There is an existing classic ASP application that uses CAPICOM to encrypt a file's content using a certificate. A new file is created with the encrypted content and put on a location from where another 3rd party web application picks up the file (with encrypted content). They use the certificate to decrypt the encrypted data .
I am re-writing this piece of the software in ASP.Net and have read a bit about the encryption algos in .Net. But I am unable to come to a solution I am aiming for.
My questions: a.) CAPICOM and .Net encryption? Any resource that has some sort of method mapping between the two?
b.) How to encrypt the content of a file using a certificate's private key? The reason I'm looking for this is this statement
The Sign method creates a digital signature on the content to be signed. A digital signature consists of a hash of the content to be signed that is encrypted by using the private key of the signer.
I want to encrypt my web config when i deploy it to server so that the username and password of database is secured. I've tried some of the encryption and it did'nt work. here is my code.
