i have one dropdownlist, i bind it to a datasource with this code. But when i run the website this dropdownlist, no matter if i select the last item, the value selected is the first one.
I'm using the code below to extract data from a gridview and populate it into textboxes for the days and two drop downs for Project and Category.
For some rows in the gridview everything but the category ddl populates correctly. If I click the row a second time the category ddl displays the correct category.
why I have to click twice for some rows?

so for one of teh condition i had to select the item "Payment -> Enrollment", but with teh below code the "Please select option text is changed to this text and finally the dropdown loads with 2 items having "Payment -> Enrollment". I cannot do ddlCategory.SelectedItem.Value as teh value is not unique ,teh value is teh amount which keeps changing .
easy way to select the item "Payment -> Enrollment".

Now the data in the dropdown is becoming too large. And customers have to scroll down a lot to get to a specific title. What I am trying to do is give links above the dropdown (A, B, C, ...., Z, 0, 1, ...., 9). When A is clicked the dropdown should select the first Title that begins with A and so on.

I have a dropdownlist on my page that when a user selects an item sets the list for another dropdownlist. My problem is that no matter what the user selects in the 1st dropdown it resets itself to the first item in the list. I have autopostback=true and nableviewstate= true. Is there another setting i'm missing or is it my code?

I have a drop down list with two options Score and status. On selecting score select score i display a MultihandleSliderExtender to select the score range ex: 10 to 20 and on selecting status i display dropdown list . On displaying one option i make the other as not visible.
Now comes the problem in Firefox (works properly in IE) when i select score and then try to change my option to status it does not allow me to do so i.e the mouse over event on the dropdownlist is not working.
I have a number of dropdown lists which are populated from a database. They load depending on what the previous dropdown selection was so for example if the system was car based and I had chosen Ford then the next dropdown list would populate all cars made only by Ford. What I'm wanting to do is add a select all to one of the dropdown lists. Does anyone know how this would be done?

DropDown is bounded by sqlDataSource.
If 04-02-2010 is the last date for today then I want to display 04-02-2010 by default in the dropdown if the page load.
We are updating data on daily basis. So on next day the date will be 05-02-2010 so when the data updated then 05-02-2010 should be shown iby default in the dropdown.
I have a gridview with two columns (item templates) one is a dropdown and the other is a textbox. I need to select an item from the dropdown (which I can do) and then get the cost of it and then put the cost in the texbox item template of the gridview. So I think I need to pass the row number and cost_id of the selected item to a procedure to get the cost of the item. I am trying to get the drop down list to only include table1 entries where table3.int1 is the current selection in another drop down list (table2.id). Example:
Table1: id, string1, int
Table2: id, string1, string2, dec
Table3: id, int1 (ref table2.id), int2 (ref table1.id)

I have a DetailsView that binds a User's Profile data into an ItemTemplate upon the Page_Load. When the user chooses Edit Mode, all of the Data is correctly carried over, except for the DropDownLists selected values. If on the ReadOnly page, the user's data shows "Male" for the Sex, then on the edit Mode page, I would like the DropDownList that gets the sexes from the database ("male", "female"), to have automatically selected "Male" in the DropDownList, not the lowest indexed item.

I have a master page with an accordion in it inside the accordion panel1 are 3 dropdownlists (ajax cascading) and a button when the default page is loaded i want to select the dropdown values(this works) and then click the button to redirect to another page called test.sapx (this works). The thing i also want to do is pass the dropdownlist values to the new page as the dropdownlists reset. I was trying to do this through the click event on the button and set them in a session variable. The click event isn't firing at all. The page redirects and then if i click the button again it fires the event?

View 2 RepliesValues in multiselect dropdown not getting selected when Select All option is selected for a SSRS dropdown. There are multiple dropdowns on the page. We have one dropdown whose output is being used to populate the second dropdown using a stored procedure. When we check the Select All checkbox on the dropdown then ideally upon page refresh all the values should get selected in the dropdown, but in this case the page refreshes back to the blank dropdown, forcing the user to select the values again. The next dropdown too does not get populated. This makes it impossible to run the report for all the cases by using Select All. We ran the report on differnet database environments. My current location is Mumbai,India, the report worked fine when we ran it on a Bangalore,india database. This issue occurs when we try running it on a Chicago database server. I am using SSRS 2005, SQL2005.
