Find The Selected Link Button Value In The Repeater Control?

On my website i have got a product for sale page, which has a ryt side bar with filter options while the left side bar shows the filteration results. On my ryt sidebar i have used accordion with the repeater control which display the searching criteria from database.For instance I have 2 searching criteria model and price , under model accordion there are three models, what I want to acheive is when a user clicks on that specific model , the page should run a query with respect to that click and show bind the results on the repeater of the left side bar, I know the query to get the results but I dunno how to get the value of that hyper link button, coz these buttons will be dynamic it can be 3,4 or 10. how will i get the clicked hyperlink valueso that I can run the query depending on the model selected.

I have a panel which has a repeater within it. Within the repeater I have a few controls. One of those controls is a Drop Down list which has an OnSelectedIndexChanged event. I can get this to fire without issue but I cannot find my DropDownList control within that repeater within the SelectedIndexChanged event . The repeater has an OnItemDataBound event and I can use the RepeaterItemEventArgs to find the control using e.Item.FindControl("ControlName") without issue but when that event occurs is NOT when I need to find the DropDownList.
What I want to do is have another control's Visible property be set to "true" when the value of the DropDownList meets a certain value. As far as I know I can only do this during the SelectedIndexChanged event and I can't change the signature of the event by trying to use RepeaterItemEventArgs.

I am using "Classified Ad" starter kit of Asp.net 2.0. In the Post Ad feature that using the ad "CategoryPath" control that recursively update link based on user select ad category. After user satisfied with the ad Category selection, the control generate a complete button link of the entire path.
If I am going to convert CategoryPath control from Asp.net to MVC / Ajax, how about I am going to do this?

Here is my requirement -
1. I need to load a user control on link click event of a link button during postback of aspx page.
2. On button click event of a save button on that aspx page, I need to read the selected values from that user control on further postback.
If I write the loadcontrol code in link_click event, the control is not recognized at all in the button_click event. When I shift it to page_init and execute only during not postback, the user control loads with default values.

I need to change a standard HTML Input button to a Link button but am running into problems because the existing
code calls a javascript function. The function basically does the same as the browser back button. When I add the code and

Im binding an image to a repeater and giving the image id a unquie value based on the id from the database. The problem im having is trying to find the control within the repeater as i dont know the exact id of the control as its generated at runtime.
What im trying to do is count how many items are bound then after the first one assign a new css class to the rest.
How am i able to find the controls id on itemDataBound ?

Not so sure what to do about all of this. I have developed a simple calendar using an XML doc and a repeater. The parent repeater contains a child repeater that lists events based on the date. I have a User Control that has some unique capablities for control the date in a link button. I want the user to click on the User Control and be able to use the information to do something. I have written a user control that captures some user input and has a Save button to save it to the DB. I use a repeater to render a number of these controls on the page - imagine a list of multiple choice questions with a Save button by each question.
I am loading the user control inside the repeater's ItemDataBound event like this (code simplified):

The problem is that when the Save button is clicked, the page posts back, but lbnUpdate_Click is not called. The Page_Load event of the page itself is called however.
I should mention that the repeater is part of a user control, and that user control is loaded inside another user control (this is a DotNetNuke site which makes heavy use of user controls). The Save button link looks like this:

I'm so confused I wasn't even sure what to make the title so that it would make sense.

I have links at the top of the page that are the letters A-Z. What I want to do is click on one of the letters, then show only the div IDs that start with that letter. I can't figure out how to do this since I'm dynamically creating the ID names. I had it set up nicely with Javascript and CSS, but the function call was inside the repeater. The layout is changed now, and I don't understand how to make the div ID available outside the repeater.

i have a listview. The listview contains a usercontrol with ID="ucEquationBuilder1" which is added only! in the SelectedItemTemplate.I've came along some post which stated you can't find the control in the SelectedItemTemplate unless it is also in the the ItemTemplate.
To me this sounded ridiculous. Untill i ran some tests, and indeed i was able to find all other controls (TextBox's Labels) which where both inside the itemtemplate and the selecteditem template.
To me this is quite frustrating. Is there a way to retrieve the control which is only inside the SelectedItemTemplate without adding it to the itemtemplate?

I am creating a survey page that has a list of questions and answers that can be radiobuttonlists, checkboxlists or textboxes. These controls are added dynamically to a Repeater in its ItemDataBound event using Controls.Add.
I've managed to render the page ok but when I submit the form and iterate over the controls in the repeater to get the selectedvalues of the radiobuttons and textbox values, FindControl returns null. What do I need to do to get get the selected values? I've tried iterating over the RepeaterItems but that returned null too. I've tried different types of FindControl but it never resolves the control types.
It works if I add a declarative DataBinder in the Repeater like this
<asp:Repeater ID="rptSurvey" runat="server" Visible="true" EnableViewState="true" >
<ItemTemplate>
<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "Question") %>
</ItemTemplate>
