I have a basic Web site project in VB.NET (Visual Studio 2013 Express for Web), and was wondering if it would be possible to use PHP as the code to process the Web site's email contact form. That is, PHP would be part of a myContactForm.aspx Web page and, if so, are Windows servers acceptable to PHP? Do Windows servers and PHP like one another?
For some reason I have in my mind the idea that ASP/ASP.NET = Windows servers, while PHP = Unix servers.
I created a contact form that contain name and email and text box to write the user any thing he wanted and i want this email send to an hotmail email and i need the user use any type of email account such as yahoo , hotmail , gmai ,etc
I have configured gmail's free smtp server for my web app and previously I was using smtp server configured at the server.
So I have changed my smtp settings accordingly but my app isn't sending any email and giving me error connection time out, third party tool isn't responding after many retrials.
Here are my settings-
SmtpClient smtpClient = new SmtpClient("mail.MyWebsiteDomainName.com", 25); smtpClient.Credentials = new System.Net.NetworkCredential("info@MyWebsiteDomainName.com", "myIDPassword"); smtpClient.UseDefaultCredentials = true;....
I have a script that I really like to use for a contact email forms, but it has that mail server configuration info hard coded. I would like it better if it ran off of the web.config mailsettings, but I know nothing about VB. how to change it to run off the web.config.
I would like to know if there is any free control to create a contact us form with send mail functionality. I've seen AutoEmail which is not free. Is there any free control?.
I'm trying to create a simple contact form for a website and cannot figure out how to properly configure it. I have a simple code I got off a tutorial (VB), that I pasted inside my Contact.aspx code-behind-page:
[Code]....
It brings up errors everywhere (declarations expected, etc) in the code-behind-page. I'm new to VB so I don't know what I'm missing. The above code is exactly the content in my code-behind. Does anyone know what I'm missing?
i have very big form in my page (alot text boxes some chkboxes abd more. after the user fill his form he click a submit button. after that i want to get all the form (i mean with all the style and exactly the way it look ) so i have a function that i have build to send mail. i want the msg body will be the form how can i do that? just to get the form and get it as a string (with values )
I am building a simple support call system and part of the system requires that the engineer go in and update any calls he/she is working on. What I was wanted to do was make it so that when the engineer types in all his info and then hits update, the formview not only posts the data he/she has added to the database but also then sends an email to the user with the updated details.
I am going to make an enquiry form where users enter data(like name, email_id etc) and that data after clicking on submit button will go to provided email_id.
so, my question on how to send these data to givenĀ email_id after click on submit?
I have create a website and i need to send/receive email from website . I am able to send email through system.net.mail namespace . But it needs an gmail id and password . I want to send email from my website like Username@mywebsite.com and also receive email from another domain like gmail.com . I didn't know how i can perform this task . I don't have a logic .
I am trying to implement a "send newsletter" process that works like this: -
1. The author develops a newsletter using Word.
2. When they are ready to distribute it, they save it as HTML, and upload this to the web site. It is then viewable with the appropriate URL.
3. They then distribute it with a web process that uses SendMail.
I have two problems: -
1. When you "Save as web page (*.htm, *.html)" from Word, the document is saved as .htm, and if there are any graphics within the document they are saved in a separate "*_files" folder. How do I upload this folder to the web site?
During testing I'm fudging this by uploading the folder with FTP, but of course this is not a viable solution for users.
2. I can send the email using alternate views, but the htmlview lacks the graphics. My logic reads the uploaded .htm document into a string variable called "HtmlBody", and then
code]....
This all works perfectly except that the email arrives just a graphic symbol and blank space where the graphic should be. How do I either send the graphics with the email, or (better) send it with references to the graphics back on the web page. The html that I am sending out contains references to the graphics like <v:imagedata src="./FamNet%201%20July%202010_files/image001.jpg" o:title="NZSGFamNet"/>, which is looking in a subfolder from the folder containing the html. I suppose that if I could solve the first problem I could replace the "./" in the image reference to [URL]. This would not be too difficult, as I could recognize "FamNet%201%20July%202010" as the newsletter name and so look for the string"./" & NewsletterName & "_files". However somebody might be able to suggest a more elegant solution, provided that I can solve the first problem.
Is there a way to send an email to a certain email address and have the message inserted into a database? The subject would be intered into "Subject" table field and the message body would be inserted into the "Message" table field.
I am making a simple contact us page for myslef as whomever wants to contact me can contact me on my gmail or at yahoo.com my
