I am trying to set up a horizontal menu control, linked to a site map. The first row is static, the rest are dynamic, and using roles to filter the nodes. Have this working. However, I do not like the layout format and wondering how to fix this. I would like to have the dynamic vertical nodes come out BELOW the horizontal main menu. I currently have the vertical dynamic nodes come out way to the right of the horizontal item with a > Master page has the following, some extras may be present as I have been trying everything to fix this.
My objective is to get the vertical dynamic nodes to pop up right under the main horizontal static menu.
I have a strange question but I would like to show data from the second column of my database table, horizontal in a gridview, like a row, is it possible?Who can help me with a solution for this problem? I would like to use it like a menu at the top of the page to show the details in a detail gridview.
Level 1 of my menubar consists of a few menu headings.I'd like level 2 of my menu control to drop down vertically. Level 3 I would like to expand horizontally.Much like the standard menu bar at the top of most Windows programs. Can this be achieved with the menu control, avoiding use of third party controls?
I have to set up, say 6 websites for diferent departments. I want them all to use the same authentication object I built.
The authentication objects lives in the main directory. lets call it MainAuth.
I want the user to be able to authenticate once, then go to any of the 6 sites s/he is authorized to 'see'.
Question: Is there an advantage or disadvantage to build them inside the MainAuth website as /SiteA, /SiteB... I like the way I can generate menues that only show the choices a user is authorized to see.
Should I build each one outside the mainAuth directory, and (somehow) link them together?
Can we include vertical menus inside of horizontal menu?? I want to dynamically add vertical menus( the values of the items inside of that are driven from the database) to a horizontal menu to get a tab strip like look and feel.Further is there an other way to making this process dynamic so that adding some values to the database drives the menus that appear on my page?
Did anybody do Database Driven - Horizontal and Vertical Nav without using XML?is it possible to bind menu control with query or view and pass query string to find particular horizontal nav and vertical nav? Please post working solution, i was trying for days to find a working solution. All the samples i tried is not working or it is too complex.i love to write and manage simple code.
Newbie to ASP.net. Programming in C#.I'm querying a SQL database and displaying the results in a gridview. The results can be many records so I need to provide the facility to scroll vertically and horizontally. To display the headers when scrolling I have implemented ( in my asp code) the headers in another table and the data is in another table. I see now I cannot align the column headers with the table data.Appreciate any help to fix this issue. ( What I need is a similar to the freeze function in excel where you can freeze the header while scrolling horizontally and vertically)If this method is not a good one to display headers with data please suggest another methodHere is my ASP code.
I have set the position for all controls added to my form to absolute, however I cannot use "make horizontal spacing equal" or "make vertical spacing equal" buttons on the layout toolbar as they are disabled. I do not want to use table and place my controls inside its cell or use CSS. I installed VWD 2005 Express edition and I could easily use these buttons to make either horizontal or vertical spacing equal, similarly I had no problem using these button if I were to create a C# or Visual Basic windows application in VS 2008, but I do not know why they are disabled in VWD 2008 or VS 2008 when I create an ASP.NET web application. I am using VS2008 with SP1 on vista 32bit, 2GB RAM, Intel core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz
I am doing all of the css and theming for our project, and am trying to create an automatic theming convention.
All of the buttons on the site will be using the same css class from the style sheet page. The problem I am having is that the color behind the button depends on the users color in the database. I pull their color from the database and theme the site accordingly.
My question is how can I change the color behind a button, in this case a div object, and set it when the page loads. I know I can set the color on the client's side, but that is only based on the name of the object. Since the buttons are all on different pages, I will not know the name of the button I am using. I am using a Masterpage also.
In the css class I have a class named .buttonBackground. I have a png image set to this button (I say button, but its a div object). I need to be able to change the background color of this image to the color from the DB when the page loads. I thought it would be fairly simple but realized that I do not know the name of the buttons on the current page.
I can change the color onmouseover and onmouseout with JS, but have no idea how to set the color initially.
i use 1024x768 px to develop web site. When i change my px to more than 1024x768, i see white color at side of my website.how can i change white color ? how can i use different color ? secondly how can i use instead of color ?
