I have some pretty straightforward HTML code with a few tables to organize various items of text or images. All works fine except that I need to place a vertical border on both the left and right sides of the screen. I am able to do this with a 2x2 pixel image that I stretch out. When the user has their screen maximized, everything looks great. But when the user hits "Restore Down", then the borders stay in place, but the tables get shoved down so that they start below where the borders end, which is off screen. in other words, the relational alignment between the borders and the tables gets all screwed up. Does anybody know how to make this alignment stay consistent on a restore down? I'm pretty much a newbie with html and asp, so speak slowly. If there is a better method to accomplish this, I'm all ears.
Can we include vertical menus inside of horizontal menu?? I want to dynamically add vertical menus( the values of the items inside of that are driven from the database) to a horizontal menu to get a tab strip like look and feel.Further is there an other way to making this process dynamic so that adding some values to the database drives the menus that appear on my page?
Did anybody do Database Driven - Horizontal and Vertical Nav without using XML?is it possible to bind menu control with query or view and pass query string to find particular horizontal nav and vertical nav? Please post working solution, i was trying for days to find a working solution. Newbie to ASP.net. Programming in C#.I'm querying a SQL database and displaying the results in a gridview. The results can be many records so I need to provide the facility to scroll vertically and horizontally. To display the headers when scrolling I have implemented ( in my asp code) the headers in another table and the data is in another table. I see now I cannot align the column headers with the table data.Appreciate any help to fix this issue. ( What I need is a similar to the freeze function in excel where you can freeze the header while scrolling horizontally and vertically)If this method is not a good one to display headers with data please suggest another methodHere is my ASP code.
I have a gridview inside a tabcontainer.I'm programitically binding to the gridview. All works fine, data is displayed. And after databinding I'm dynamically setting the tabcontainer height to that of the gridview so that the gridview doesn't overlap the tabcontainer and look all funky. This all works fine doing this...tabcontainer1.height = gridview1.heightUntil there is no data returned, in which case I get a really small tab container.Bascially if there is no data, I want the tabcontainer1.height = 500, and if there is data to set it to the height of the gridview.I tried this (plus other variations) but can't seem to get it to work.
