I have some pretty straightforward HTML code with a few tables to organize various items of text or images. All works fine except that I need to place a vertical border on both the left and right sides of the screen. I am able to do this with a 2x2 pixel image that I stretch out. When the user has their screen maximized, everything looks great. But when the user hits "Restore Down", then the borders stay in place, but the tables get shoved down so that they start below where the borders end, which is off screen. in other words, the relational alignment between the borders and the tables gets all screwed up. Does anybody know how to make this alignment stay consistent on a restore down? I'm pretty much a newbie with html and asp, so speak slowly. If there is a better method to accomplish this, I'm all ears.
Can we include vertical menus inside of horizontal menu?? I want to dynamically add vertical menus( the values of the items inside of that are driven from the database) to a horizontal menu to get a tab strip like look and feel.Further is there an other way to making this process dynamic so that adding some values to the database drives the menus that appear on my page?

Newbie to ASP.net. Programming in C#.I'm querying a SQL database and displaying the results in a gridview. The results can be many records so I need to provide the facility to scroll vertically and horizontally. To display the headers when scrolling I have implemented ( in my asp code) the headers in another table and the data is in another table. I see now I cannot align the column headers with the table data.Appreciate any help to fix this issue. ( What I need is a similar to the freeze function in excel where you can freeze the header while scrolling horizontally and vertically)If this method is not a good one to display headers with data please suggest another methodHere is my ASP code.
I've got a web site that has a master page and that master page (mpMaster that has a user control ucControl1) which has a sub user control (ucControl2), this user control has a property which accepts a value. Now, I have a page that uses the master page and on this page I have another user control (ucPageControl), I need to find a way of setting the value in ucControl2 from ucPageControl. Is this possible at all?
I am trying to add / create a table dynamically which I have managed to do howevever, I am experiencing some trouble with vertical aligning a control within a cell.
I am trying to add a radio button into a cell.
If I only set text within the cell, it veritcally aligns correctly (in the middle), however when I add my radio button it aligns itself to the top of the cell? Maybe I am forgetting to do something or there is some kind of css hack?
I have a simple Treeview on my web page. I am using ASP.Net 3.5. I have 2 parent nodes and then some child nodes for each parent when expanded. I want my 2 parent nodes to align up to the left. And I want the child nodes to be idented under the parent and all aligned to the left. Presently, it seems like everything is aligned in the center. It seems odd that there is not a horizontal alignment proprty. Or am I just not seeing it?
I have a Master Page that has several User Controls on it. The MasterPage code behind does some work to calculate a value that needs to be used in all of the UserControls. From the UserControl code behind, how do I access the public property of the MasterPage that I have set?
