I've tried two methods to deploy website
Normal Publish option. Web Deployment Project.
But I got the same output, print functionality doesn't work. Also, I tried to set default printer, this also doesn't work.

Mar 18, 2011I'm conducting a project in which a website should have multi-language support.Now, this website is supposed to serve about 500K+ visitors a day, so it must be super-efficient.
I've created a table of parameters {[ID],[Name]} AND a linkage-table {[objectID],[parameterID],[languageID],[value]}. I think it's the best way to deploy multi-language support while having the privilege to translate different parameters for each language.
As far as I know, server's memory is much faster than a physical HDD. Therefore, I'm planning to store ASP.NET Application State objects for my translation architecture.[URL]

Oct 5, 2010For an MVC 2 app that relies on many partial views and almost exclusively uses Ajax for POSTs/GETs, what would be the best way to implement the setting, passing, retrieval and display (using a JavaScript modal) of these messages?
My forms all POST (by way of jQuery $.ajax) to actions that return partial views (html) that are used to update a in the "success:" part of the $.ajax function.
I was hoping for some sort of mechanism in the master view that could "listen" for any messages that any of these partial views might be "delivering"--through their ViewData, for instance.

I want to add OAuth functionality to my application and want to still using Asp.net Membership (login , etc ). ( and I also want my user login to application with any public social network ID , if that network use a OAuth membership.

Oct 22, 2010Im looking for the functionality seen in most commercial websites like google maps to get approximate distance between cities and zip codes. Im guessing these sites are using huge databases with all this information already in them. It would be interesting to learn how to create this functionality myself but Im sure that would require a great deal of time. So Im looking for a package where someone has already done the work(an API) that would allow me to enter two different zip codes or maybe two different city,state combinations and take actions from there.

Mar 17, 2011I am writing some IO functionality into my ASP.net page (C#). Basically what Im trying to do is, to get a list of file/folder names from a network share and display them on the webpage.
It works great in my DEV environment, on my machine, but it does not work on the published version on my IIS machine. I have not been able to get it to throw an error (I'll keep trying in the meantime). But, it would seem to me that it is some sort of permissions issue. I have given the ASPNET user admin access on the network machine, that the folder share is located. I have added NETWORK SERVICE (with FULL access) to the security rights of the shares Im trying to access.

C# - Print Custom List In JavaScript?
Mar 3, 2011I have a custom list earthquakes which contains a list of earthquakes. How do I parse this in JavaScript in order to add it to innerHtml and display on the screen. The problem is that I cannot get this to display on the screen in a div. When it parses I get no result because my javascript is wrong and if I try just printing the result i get [Object object]

when i do print, it automatically adds date time on page.. (i think because of page setup) in firefox. how can i remove this setting. i mean i dont want datetime to be printed automatically on my print page (even if its set in pagesetup).
