I have implemented this plugin by Steve Sanders from 2008. In my solution I have 3 buttons for 3 uploads and this works just fine. But ist not a perfect fit and the question is if thera is a better solution for me?
What I need is : Be able to upload multiple file When the Control Action is triggered It should be possible to work with the files
The enduser should be able to cancel a uploaded file(this is not possible with Steves plugin as far as I know)Easy to use with ASP.NET MVC
If a post is done to the Control Action and a validation error is thrown back the uploads may not disappear.
I basically have a View Page which allows user input into a Model. The Model consists of a few input boxes and 2 seperate FileUpload controls. Anything input into the text boxes is passed fairly easily to the controller, but the file uploads are really causing me issues. If only one of the FileUploads is used by the client, then the page still posts, but if the client puts files into both of the uploads i get a Http 504 Error:
ReadResponse() failed: The server did not return a response for this request.
As a side note, if I change the FileUpload controls to normal html input controls, the page posts, but Request.Files is always empty.
Here is the code in my view page:
[Code]....
why the FileUpload control causes a 504 error and/or why the standard input control does not pass anything in Request.Files to the controller?
Now, in the code page, I can capture the button click with..
Code: Protected Sub btnUpload_Click(sender As Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnUpload.Click If FileUpload1.HasFile Then Dim name As String = FileUpload1.PostedFile.FileName Dim Justname As String = Path.GetFileName(name)
[Code] .....
All works well... Now, I want to have a few input boxes for uploading different files.
Im using File Upload Control in every row of a GridView.... Like tis
Name UploadFile textBox FileUpload TextBox FileUpload . . Submit
On Submit im first uploading all files present in the grid and then saving other values in database....No Problem when uploading Small Set of filesIf i browse more than 10(approx) files(i.e 10 files in 10 rows) and Submit... Internet Explorer-Page Cannot Be displayed Error occurs but no problem when uploading < 10(approx) files....
Below is the jquery script that takes one input value from textBox1 and pass it to a web method then returns the name of the person and displays it in textBox2. The web method only takes one parameter, the user initials.
[code]....
I want to be able to pass two values from two textboxes for a web method that requires two parameters. how can I modify the jquery code above to accomplish that?
How do I handle selection of multiple items with autocomplete? The objects I return from my JSON web service contain an ID and a Label - the ID is the ID of the entity in the database, and the Label is some text to display for the user.
At the moment, when I select an item in the autocomplete dropdown, the value of the item's ID is stored in a hidden field, and the label is displayed. When I remove the label, I clear the ID of the hidden field - this is done by adding an anchor element to the DOM that handles this.
Now, I want to have multiple selections. I want to be able to enter some text, get an autocomplete dropdown, select an item and some other options, then be able to click an 'Add New' button or the likes to be able to select another instance.
For example, I'd type in a person's name and get an autocomplete selection. I'd select a person, and then enter their age, and click 'Add'. The person's id, name, and age will be stored somewhere so that I can retrieve it on the server side when I post back.
I'm not quite sure how to do it? I'm thinking of a hidden field - I assume that many hidden fields of the same name/id turn up on the server side as an array, which I can then use. But I haven't tried this yet in ASP.NET.
I have a listbox with multiple selectionmode. In this list there is an itme name 'Other'. When user select this alon or with ohter itmes it show div and if it deselect it from his selection it hide the div. when user come to edit the form and if 'Other' is selected in listbox the div should be visible.
I'm using jQuery Multiple File Upload Plugin to upload several pictures. But form posts only 1, top, item. Fiddler (POST): POST /Images/UploadImages HTTP/1.1
i'm trying to design a search page. i want to creating few radio buttons where each click on a radio button will show a div contains the related search div's. and from there to do the query to the database(not related to the post) how can i do that? tried to search for it , and didn't get good answer. i want that the change of the page will be in server side and not the client side. I have been working with ajax control kit so far
I've been working on an usercontrol with a jquery timer in it. At first I had the jquery within the usercontrol. But when I add 2 of those controls to my page the second usercontrol isn't showing it's data very well. Now I've put the jquery into the mainpage and the usercontrol only uses the id's of the jquery.
<%@ Control Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="WebUserControl.ascx.cs" Inherits="WebUserControl" %> <style type="text/css"> [code]...
I have jquery using ajax/json to grab an elements ID and then hits:
[System.Web.Services.WebMethod] public static string EditPage(string nodeID) { DataTable dt = new DataTable(); using (SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection(Global.conString)) using (SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand("contentPageGetDetail", con)) { cmd.Parameters.Add("@ID", SqlDbType.UniqueIdentifier).Value = Global.SafeSqlLiteral(nodeID, 1); cmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure; cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); using (SqlDataAdapter da = new SqlDataAdapter(cmd)) { da.Fill(dt); } } if (dt.Count > 0) { string pageTitle = dt.Rows[0]["Title"].toString(); string contentID = dt.Rows[0]["ContentID"].toString(); return pageTitle, contentID, nodeID; } else { return "Failed"; } }
When it's time to return I want to grab all content returned from the stored procedure back to the jquery method in the success section and set a hiddenfield, dropdown value, and a title in a textfield. In the jQuery I tried using "pageTitle" but it came up undefined. What do I need to do jQuery side to grab whats being returned and populate fields in my Web Form before showing the form?
I'm trying to use the AutoComplete feature of JQuery to update multiple fields on an ASP.NET web page. The individual textbox is functioning perfectly, but I cannot figure out how to update multiple textboxes on the page once the user selects.
I've read many suggestions here that state I need to implement a result handler, but my intellisense is not showing that as an option, and IE I get a JS error saying that the object doesn't support this method.
I am linking to jquery-1.4.2.min.js and jquery-ui-1.8.5.custom.min.js .Here's my code:
to style 2 datepicker on one site in different styles.Want a different background in the second datepicker...Tried to wrap the datepicker in seperate div, but doesnt work.
Even <%= Html.Telerik().DatePicker().Name("DatePickerStart").InputHtmlAttributes(new {@class="datepicker2"});%> doesnt work..but .InputHtmlAttributes(new { style = "width: 200px;" }) resizes my datepicker.
Trying to put multiple dialogs on one page - they need to be able to come up more than once. I'm using ASP.NET so the ID's of the content to go in the dialogs are mangled. All of the examples for bringing up the dialog multiple times seem to work with getting the initialized dialog back the second time by using the contents ID.
I see a couple of possible solutions but they seem like hacks:1.) Store the .net mangled ID in some other field when I first bring up the dialog, and use that the second time around.2.) Use the dialog events to put the contents of the dialog back into its original location in the dom when the dialog is closed.
<ol> <li><div id="dotnetmangledjunk_Meaningful">stuff to go in the dialog</div></li> <li><div id="dotnetmangledjunk_Meaningful">stuff to go in the dialog</div></li> </ol>
I have a page with three HTML labels and their corresponding ASP.NET gridviews contained within divs. Now while learning jQuery, I am trying to achieve two things:1. Change the css class of the lables upon mouse hover/out.2. Slide up/down the grid div upon clicking of the labels. It looks to be working as expected, but I wish to know if I am doing it the right way.My complete jQuery code is:
And I am calling these function from onmouseover, onmouseout and onclick events of the label controls passing in the label ID as parameter. As an example:
<label id="lblWebComp" class="gridLabelDefault" onmouseover="ColorChange('lblWebComp')" onmouseout="ColorChange('lblWebComp')" onclick="ShowHide('gvDivWC')"> Web Components </label>
Kindly let me know if this is the best way to achieve these effects? Don't I have to right the document ready function in the jQuery code?
I am trying to make 2 separate AJAX calls using buttons. What I want to happen is: when Button1 is clicked ProductsTable shows data from the webservice; when Button2 is clicked OthersTable shows its own data from the webservice. But right now, when either button is clicked, nothing shows up. I know the code works if there's only one of them and it's not wrapped around a .click function.
No error messages. ASP.NET 4.0, JQuery 1.4.4. Not using ScriptManager. Not using UpdatePanels.
I have an ASP.NET application using a master page. I am adding a reference to the JQuery library in the master page however there are some content pages and user controls that reference the JQuery library directly. Will I need to remove each reference from those pages or can I leave them in place even though I am adding a reference into the master page of the application?
