I have this datalist in a user control i want when i keep mouse over "More", it should be invisible. it is working on .aspx page not on user control. How to do this. This control is placed on master page.
I am using updatepanel with visible property set to false and on selection of checkbox i am setting updatepanel visible true but i am getting error when i make updatepanel visible to true.If some one know the solution of this problem please do let me know.
I have a masterpage (which we will call 'default'). This contains a second page (web user control) -'second'. And finally a third 'print' page. The 'print' page is also a web user control, however, it merely has a placeholder that contains the 'second' page.Is there a way I can add a control to the 'second' page - such as a literal, and only have it visible on the 'print' page?
I have a label and a div called "menu" that is currently invisible. I want that when the user clicks the label. It will make the div visible. I thought of doing it through javascript, how do I make a control visible through javascript?
I have an ASP.NET text control "FromDate" whose visible property is set to false, but I wanted a client side javascript to be able to toggle the visibility property using CSS properties
element1.style.display = "none"; // hides the element element1.style.display = ""; // shows the element
but when I attempt to get the textbox, I get null on
var element1 = document.getElementById("FromDate");
When I try the same code with visble=true as the default on the "FromDate" ASP.NET control, it works (although that is not the behavior I need)
i am using password recovery control. but i have one difficulty that when user click on the "Forgot Password" link he will redirect to enter "UserName" view of password recovery template. and when user enter "User Name" and click submit button he will redirect to the "Question" view of the Password recovery control and then user click on the "Cancel" button. but when user again click on the "Forgot Password" link the "Question" view is displayed instead of the "UserName" view. i m not able to reset Password control to "UserName" view.
I have a problem displaying data in a Grid View control when set a row to visible = false when a certain condition is true.
For example, if a DataRowData value has a condition set to true (custom in table) I set the visible property to false, so the data row will not be visible at run time.
The problem is that I'm using paging (10 rows per page) and if 8 of those rows fall into the true condition that won't show the row, that grid view page will only show two rows of data in page 1. The worst scenario is that if I go to page 2 of the grid view and all the rows (10) fall into the true condition, that grid view page will not show any data at all.
How can I show 10 rows of data at all times in a gridview? In other words, I would like to just show the visible rows at all times.
For an Umbraco project, I am trying to make a simple Ajax call.. I can't use PageMethods because I need to make the call from inside a UserControl.. I tried to do it via web service call like this:
Web service method:
[System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptService] public class MapService : System.Web.Services.WebService { [WebMethod]
[Code]...
The problem is, "MapService.GetCities" method doesn't get invoked..
What might be the problem here?
Alternatively, what is there any better way to make these kind of Ajax calls in a User Control?
I have five menu items that i have created as a user control and placed on the master page. Now i want one of the menu items to be visible only for particular user role and not visible for others. Here is what I did. Its not working though.
Dim DST As New DataSet DST = dataObject.RunSPReturnDataSet("uspUserProfile '" & Session("UserID").ToString & "'", "mytbl") 'Dim US As New DataSet [Code]....
Setting value in html control in code behind without making server control
<input type="text" name="txt" /> <%--Pleas note I don't want put runat=server here to get the control in code behind--%> <asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" Text="Button" OnClick="Button1_Click" />
Code behind
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (!Page.IsPostBack) { //If I want to initlize some value in input, how can I set here } } protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { Request["txt"] // Here I am getting the value of input }
I don't think I understand fully how ASP.NET does inheritance of controls.I have a user control, ucBase, which has an asp.net label in the ascx file. Code behind references the label and it works fine during run time if the control is not a parent for another user parent.
If I have another user control, ucChild, inheriting from ucBase, the label in ucBase's code is always null. ucChild has no controls in its ascx fileThe server controls (like the label) needs to be declared in the ascx file and not created programmatically.What needs to be done for ucBase to see its own controls when it's a parent user control?
I've got a web site that has a master page and that master page (mpMaster that has a user control ucControl1) which has a sub user control (ucControl2), this user control has a property which accepts a value. Now, I have a page that uses the master page and on this page I have another user control (ucPageControl), I need to find a way of setting the value in ucControl2 from ucPageControl. Is this possible at all?
If I have a grid, and it is binded to some data, but the visible=false for the grid, will it consume any resources for initializations or for retrieving data to perform the bindings?
How about if the grid is inside a div, and the div visible=false
I am trying to assign user control from another user control ..first time its binding control successfully but when we refresh the data its giving error
saying "Object reference is not set an instance".
how to refresh data from another user control ...
My senerio below :
1 Aspx page
2. User control
calling usercontrol databinding method from aspx page but once it get refreshed ,not allowed to bind it again..
If a control (say a label or textbox) is set to visible = false then
1. Is the value specific for each user(like session) or for whole application?
2. If it is user specific, then how is the value kept across multiple Http requests? is it by session management(cookie or URL rewritting) or viewstate?
3. If it's by viewstate, does that means users still have chances to modify the 'invisible' control's value?
4. If it's by session management, I can't depends on the 'invisible' control's value unless I am 100% sure cookie or URL rewritting is working, right?
