Apr 4, 2011I have a gridview inside a ModalPopUpExtender, the grid view have the button add delete and edit when i clic one of the button of the gridview the popup is closed. I wont to close the popup when the close button is clicked.This is the asp.net part:

Apr 7, 2010I would really appreciate if someone can find out what's wrong with this code.
Here is my question. I have textboxes in a modal popup extender (City, state, zip) and there is an image button search for searching the address from the database. All this functionality is within a control (.ascx file). This control is added to the page where it needs to be displayed and is being displayed when a user click the Address button (the code for it is not shown here). The method ShowAddressSearch() in the control is being called from the page and it displays the popup.
When the user enters any of the 3 values and hits search a server event is fired up and the result should be displayed in a grid. What is happening is, when the user hits the search button the server call is made and the data fetched from the db but the modal popup closes itself here is the code for this. I would really appreciate if someone can find out where and how popup is getting closed.

AJAX :: ModalPopUpExtender Inside ModalPopUpExtender
Sep 3, 2010I have a modal popup extender with one control (ascx) this control has a label that on onclic method call other popup extender.
It's has other ascx, it's has a button for a search. When I do Click in this button in first time, the event click not fired and there are a javascript error that say "this._activeDRagVisual is null reference".
In the other hand, If a use de second popup inside an asp page the event and control work correctly. The problem is with the popup inside popup.

When I run the start page, I am able to see the calendar and editor, but the header and footer are not visible. I have header and footer content also defined in seperate pages.
And also, when i click on the calendar to move the months, i am getting a javascript error as "Sys is Undefined".
How to view the proper page? How to make the master page, which will have left menu, header,main content and footer?

Sep 13, 2010Now, I'm working on a project where I don't really understand how can I do things without multiple inheritance, without duplicating code.
Here's the situation. There is a website with a home page and other pages inheriting from a masterpage (the home page does not inherit from). Both the page and the masterpage are performing some stuff: custom login, statistics, loading of users settings for customization, etc. For the moment, the solution is crappy, since the source code for those tasks is just copied twice.
The home page class inherits from Page. The masterpage, on the other hand, inherits from Masterpage. Logically, it would be great to inherit from a common class too, but it's multiple inheritance, so it's impossible.
So what to do instead?
I thought about several ways, but dislike them:
Create a standalone class which will be called from the page/masterpage class. So for example instead of writing bool isDisplayingTips = this.CurrentUser.IsDisplayingTips, I would write bool isDisplayingTips = this.SharedObjects.CurrentUser.IsDisplayingTips. I don't like it, since it's longer to write. Create a "real", empty, common masterpage, and inherit both the home page and the masterpage from it. Not only it will require to write more code to access masterpage parameters, but it will also slow the things down, requiring an additional masterpage on each request.
Security :: Building A Web Site That Has Two Masterpages?
Oct 18, 2010I'm building a web site that has two masterpages - one for the average user/visitor and one for the admin. The admin logs in and is redirected to admins masterpage that has some special features. If the admin goes to one of the visitor pages, he/she is redirected back to the visitors masterpage and is automatically logged out (cannot reach the admin pages without logging in again). Is it possible to keep the admin logged in no matter wich pages he/she goes to on the site until the logout-button is clicked?

May 6, 2010Has anyone ran into problems using masterpages and inserting data into sql? I have ran into this numerous times where I will set up a page using a masterpage, through a few controls on the page to insert data say from a datagrid, do an insert and the data never inserts.
Then I will change the page to a regular webform page, nothing differnet other than it's not using the masterpage, and wala, the data gets inserted?
Logging In To Website Opens A New Tab?
Mar 9, 2011I've been working on my personal website as of late, and even thought it's not a big problem because I'm the only one that sees it, it's annoying nonetheless.
Whenever I go to my login page, it all works fine. If I enter a bad username/password, it will just print a simple text message error(intended). But, if I login correctly, then instead of redirecting to the root of my website as I intend, it will instead create a new tab in firefox and from there it will be in / (which is correct). The problem is why does it create a new tab? I didn't even think forms were capable of such a thing:

C# Shows Multiple Non Nested Masterpages In One Project?
Oct 2, 2010i have an asp.net site built using visual studio 2010 in c#. the site is basically two sections...(http://www.wsgelectronics.com for reference) the default page is the site.master page with default.aspx. I want to split into two more master pages, one for each section, car audio and computer sections if you look at the site, each with its own layout, nav bar, content etc. how would i go about linking them to work? can i have three *.master pages on one project?
