I am using html editor from ajax control tool kit. When i get the content its giving me an html content withe all the formatting tags is it possible to get the preview content from this control.

I have a UserControl that has some javascript I'd like to inject into a known ContentPlaceHolder.
I was hoping to do something like the following except when I append to add the control to found control I get an exception which says I cannot modify the control collection in the Init, Load or PreRender events:

Now, I would like to add some controls dynamically to the content when page loads, so I am trying the following code:

The problem is that the Content2 control is not visible by the compiler and I am getting error about missing directive or assembly reference.

I have a simple website with a master-page. To set properties to elements on a content page (such as Textbox) I use CSS. In designer it works well but when I launch a site a style isn't apllied to controls. The reason is simple. To say, I have a TextBox with id="TextBox1" in content page, it is placed in ContentPlaceHolder1. In CSS file I set properties for object with id #TextBox1. When I launch a site due to master page name mangling it gets an id like ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_TextBox1 which is not defined in CSS file included in masterpage. What is a correct solution of this problem? Hardcoding mangled name doesn't seem to be good.
View 3 RepliesI have an aspx page that I cannot touch. It's a shared page. However, I want to override the navigation control that the page provides and instead use the default content on my masterpage. So, I'm being asked to create an HTTP handler. This handler will intercept requests for the page and remove the control that is overriding the default content. One problem is that the Content control has no ID. I've hooked into the page's PreInit event and am attempting to traverse the control heirarchy using a recursive method that will find the control using the ContentPlaceHolderID property. However, when I go to access the page's Controls property, it shows a single control, which is my master page. I cannot seem to access any other controls on my .aspx page. Would anyone know how to be able to find the Content control?
View 1 RepliesI'm using a masterpage and having some trouble with my ContentPlaceholders. I have a combobox(DropDownList1) in the sidemenu content placeholder and in my main placeholder I have a gridview. The gridview is supposed to do a select in the db using the selected value of DropDownList1. When I set up the connection SQL within the datagrid, using the wizard; I select to get a parameter from a control and then I select DropDownList1.
Now, When I try to run the page, it returns an error "Exception Details: System.InvalidOperationException: A control with ID 'DropDownList1' could not be found", however if I move DropDownList1 to the main placeholder, everything works perfectly.
How do I get asp.net to see the control sitting in the other placeholder?

I want this to work similar to last.fm or iTunes where you can preview a 30 second clip of an MP3 file before purchasing and downloading the entire song.
So I'm using the Ajax Control Toolkit and it's HTML Editor. I'm wondering what is the best approach to create a complete page preview? I have multiple HTML Editor's on the page so I need to get the content of each HTML Editor and save it to a cookie or something, then have a popup with the preview page, which loads the info from the cookies into respective labels.
