i created search engine using Google search API in asp.net.
if i click search list link another new site will open.when i click new site i want to save corresponding link with logo like bookmarks link to sql in asp.net
I have uploaded the nerddinner sample to "www.aaa.com/test/nerd". When a mouse is on menu tab such as "Find a host" then the link is shown at the bottom of Internet explorer as "www.aaa.com/test/nerd/Dinner" with the contoller name "Dinner". When the mouse is on the main logo which is on top and left, the link shown as "www.aaa.com". So it direct me to "www.aaa.com" instead of "www.aaa.com/test/nerd"
When can I change it? I have tried change the "start url" from the application property, but it did not work.
.net and I love it already,how to make my LOGO (not image just a text) on my website clickable as back to home link but ONLY on some pages? I have the logo text on my Site.master page but as soon as I make the logo as a link then the logo will be clickable even though I am already on the home page which is pointless.

View 1 RepliesAfter submitting a form, the user is presented with a link to a pdf document. The link is straight to the document, it is not streamed.
If the user right-clicks and chooses 'save link as,' the document saves and opens fine. However, if the user just clicks on the link, the browser takes a very long time to respond (I'm going to guess it's 3 minutes) and then adobe reader gives the following error:
"the file is damaged and could not be repaired"
This is in Chrome v5, ASP.NET 3.5 and the link is returned inside an UpdatePanel.

1. I need to load a user control on link click event of a link button during postback of aspx page.
2. On button click event of a save button on that aspx page, I need to read the selected values from that user control on further postback.
If I write the loadcontrol code in link_click event, the control is not recognized at all in the button_click event. When I shift it to page_init and execute only during not postback, the user control loads with default values.
For example, i browse the web page in browser, at first, i clink "home", home page is show out, then i click the "Contact us", then the "contact us" web page is showing out, BUT the problem is come out when i try to click the home page again, the home page doesn't come out and still at the contact us page...any1 know WHY?Thank you for helping...
View 4 RepliesMy page (which basically contains a pair of Repeaters) renders and is displayed to the user.I'd like to have a "Download" button on the page which, when clicked, will propmt the user to save the page locally as an html file without losing any of the CSS formatting.
My CSS files are linked to via a Master Page.Currently, I have the button linked to some javascript that open will the Save As dialog, but all of the CSS formatting is lost, and it saves the page .I'm assuming that the button will need to open a new page which will re-create the data for the Repeaters and then save using StreamWriter, but I'm not exactly sure if that's right or how best to do it.

This code creates a link button, however when I click on the button on the page. The function lnkbtnPageNumber_Command is not being called. The scripts just not getting to it.
I've tried google but everywhere I've looked says that this code should work fine.

I've just read somewhere that this code won't work unless called from Page_Init which if true is a but of a pain cos I can't put this fuction in Page_Init...
I want to be able to call a method from a link click. The situation is I have a chat client within my website. When the user clicks on the Open Chat client link I want to fire off a method that updates all the contacts the user is allowed to talk to and than it fires off javascript to open the chat client.
Ive got the javascript to open the chat client firing but not the method before. All the method will do is update some database records that the chat client accesses (I only want to do this if they open the chat client otherwise it is overkill and an unneeded perf hit).
I started working on a website using 2010 Express. However, the hosting company that I am using hasn't fully implemented .NET 4.0. I'm wondering if there is a way that I can save my website for compatability with 2008 express. Then I can finish and publis using 2008 Express.
