in my gridview item template filed i am calling an method CheckValue

when i run my page i get errorin my .aspx page Text='<%# CheckValue(Eval("Imagespath")+","+Eval("Imagesname")%>'> is there any way i can send my value CheckValue method which isa .cs file how can i send 2 paremeter from.aspx page can anu one tell me the syntax for it

I have a gridview and the OnRowDataBound event is linked to this function:

This code looks at the value of a property of the object in the data source and if it's null, converts the null to display "-" in column 5. The problem I'm having is that if I change the order of the columns of the gridview, then I need to change the index of every other modification. What I'd like to do is change the statement "e.Row.Cells[5].Text" to something that says "the cell whose column header is xyz".

I have 5 linkbuttons act as navigation menus on the top of each .aspx page. I wrote code to control when and which linkbutton should be enabled. I am going to create a header.ascx page with these 5 linkbuttons and use <%=Response.Write("header.ascx")%> code to include the .ascx file in the .aspx page. But I got a problem with the code behind, the current .aspx page does not recongnize the linkbutton objects because they are in another file. How do I declare these 5 linkbuttons in the application?

I want to pass in as two additional params the Eval("dvc_nm") and Eval("data_orgtn_yr") to the popup function.
UPDATE:
I tried by removing the single quotes from insode the <% %> tags. Which gave me this:
onClientClick='<%# "javascript:popUp(popup_createWR.aspx," + Eval("dvc_nm") + "," + Eval("data_orgtn_yr") + ")" %>'
which complied, but when I clicked the button I did not get a pop up, the page just posted back and reloaded and said errors on page, but no popup...

How do you call a codebehind/class method from a gridview in an aspx page? Also, I need to pass the value of databound column to that method. Is this possible?
Something like this:

I am using Footer template in gridview for first time..
I am unable to show anything in the footer template with eval() method...

Got a little dilemma I could use some guidance on. I'm trying to call an Interface method that resides in my Business Layer from within the template of a gridview in the same manner as below:
<%# GetEmployee(Eval("EmpId"))%>
i.e. it reads as follows:
<%# BusinessLayer.IEmployee.GetEmployee(Eval("EmpId"))%>
I'm actually getting the following error:
"An object reference is required for the non-static field, method, or property"
Which makes sense as I haven't instantiated as instance of the Interface. So the queston is how do I do it?

It always return javascript undefined error. But if I put the AJAX_Test webmethod in aspx page and replace the url: "CustomValidate.asmx/AJAX_Test" to "mypage.aspx/AJAX_Test". It works fine.

I have two pages. The first one contains the authors' records and it has a link called REMOVE. If I click on the link that related to a specific author that will be move to the other page that contain the detail view of this author. I already did that but I make a fault but i don't know it. If I click the link that related to author that has au_id=25. the other page has the first record while the url of this page equle to ? au_id=25

I'm binding an object to a gridview. The object (LeClient) consists of several variables, two of which are related to its phone number. One variable contains a string of digits (LePhone) and the other contains an int that represents the country code (LeCountryCode). I have an extension method for strings that works to format the string LePhone and that I'd like to pass it LeCountryCode as the parameter.
So far, on RowDataBound I have an event handler with the following line:
e.Row.Cells[5].Text = (string)(e.Row.Cells[5].Text).ToPhoneFormat(1);
I'd like to replace the 1 with the corresponding country code that's stored in the object LeClient associated with the row. How does this work? I tried

I want to send socket information to aspx page.eg. I have 80 clients connected to server. Server is doing some calculation based on the user input and if one of the condition is true, it will send the signal to all the connected clients. I'm the client. The other vendor is the server. I know there are at least 2 ways to send Variables to another ASPX page.
The first way is the use <form> and <input type="hidden">
The second way is the put the variable(s) in the URL such as http://www.joesmith.com/Sample.aspx?var1=bob&var2=cunningham
Is there a 3rd way to send variables using VBScript inside the <script runat="server"> tag?

I have a Formview ('formview1') with a pager. I also have a gridview ('gridview1') linked to a SQL datasource ('History'). I need to set the SelectParameter ('Serial') of the datasource to be the value of a field on the current page in the formview. The value i need to get is in the ItemTemplate and is a label called 'SerialNumberLabel'. So, something like:

I work in VS 2008. Whenver I add a server control(Label) and set it properties in aspx.vb and build the solution, I get the error "Label1 not declared". While analyzing this issue I noticed that the event handler statements for the Label1 where not added in the designer.asp.vb file. These statement would actually be added automatically when I drag and drop a control to my webpage.
I would also like to inform the scenario after which this problem came to me. I was working in VS 2008 , VS 2005 and VS 2003 in the same machine.Could this have caused the issue ?
Now each and everytime when I add a control, I am adding the "With Events" code in the designer page to make my build succesfull which makes me to spend more efforts.
