and it's been answered! My only problem is I don't really understand the solution. How does one Invoke the control when setting the property.
I have a label control but there doesn't seem to be an Invoke property/method on it.
I tried this...

but that seemed to be the same as

The user control has public properties named accordingly and the page has protected properties accordingly which I've verified have the desired values.

The reason I'm asking is that when letting ReSharper convert a property into an auto property it seems to scan my entire solution, or at least all aspx-files.
I can't see any reason why there should be any difference between the two from outside the class. Is there?

May 11, 2010I have a class, let's say class Sample. Sample has unknown properties but inherits an interface ISample. Said interface includes one method which I'm trying to create. This interface has a method called getPropertyValue(object o, string PropertyName).
It returns the value of the o.PropertyName using generics (unless you have a better suggestion). How do I write it? In other words, I want to be able to pass the name (as a string) of a property and return its value. Samples in C# preferrable but VB ok and any comments or suggestions are welcome.
