I have two user control in my page uc1 and uc2. I want to make sure that the js function inside these two user control fire when the document is ready.
When I am using '$(document).ready({function(){//something});' in both the user control only the function of the first user control is loading. the function for the second user control was not called.
Can't I use '(document).ready' in two different user control in the same page? If not then how can I make sure that the respective methods are called only when the document is ready?
I've been working on an usercontrol with a jquery timer in it. At first I had the jquery within the usercontrol. But when I add 2 of those controls to my page the second usercontrol isn't showing it's data very well.Now I've put the jquery into the mainpage and the usercontrol only uses the id's of the jquery.
<%@ Control Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="WebUserControl.ascx.cs" Inherits="WebUserControl" %> <style type="text/css"> [code]...
i m using master and content page and i have created Usercontrol for Left menu of jquery but my menu working fine in html markup but not in content page
I want jQuery to load a usercontrol dynamically from server side code. i want that thing using httphandler.i heard this thing some where but i didn't get any exampleto complete this task
I am new for Jquerry,I have a user control with a Jquerry calender control,but i am geting "Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object expected" this error when i m trying to add in .aspx page.
I have a jQuery UI dialog which has a usercontrol in it, which I get by .load of the page it is in. It is a simple calculator.You pick several numbers and then click a button, a postback happens and finally you get the result in to two lables.When I click the button inside the dialog, the postback happens and I see the result in the original page, not the dialog.
I'm working on adding a todo list to a project system and would like to have the todo creation trigger a async postback to update the database. I'd really like to host this in a usercontrol so I can drop the todo list onto a project page, task page or stand alone todo list page.
Here's what I have.User Control "TodoList.ascx" which lives in the Controls directory.
The script that sits at the top of the UserControl. You can see where I started building jsonText to postback but when that didn't work I just tried posting back an empty data variable and removed the 'string[] items' variable from the AddTodo2 method.
<script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { // Add the page method call as an onclick handler for the div. [code]...
I can have a control that can be used to display multiple todo lists and create a brand new todo list as well.When I click on the #divAddButton I can watch it build the postback in firebug but once it completes it runs the error portion by alerting 'error'. I can't see why.
I'd really rather have the response method live inside the user control as well. Since I'll be dropping it on several pages to keep from having to go put a method on each individual page.
I have 2 nested datalist that one of them is menudatalist and the other is submenu datalist. whenever I click on my submenu items a dynamic user control should load in dynamic tab. my problem is : one of my usercontrols that is JQGRID does not load in tab and when I click on that submenu Item an empty tab is created,however other user controls are loaded in tabs correctly.
I am using jQuery to do a cascading dropdown list (State, City). In order to pull the information from the database I have a web service that I reference. The code all works like a champ when I use the JavaScript on the ASPX page for proof of concept, but when I place the JavaScript in the userControl and then put the userControl on the ASPX page, it breaks.
The next foreseeable thing that will potentially complicate things further is that the userControl will be inside of an updatePanel
I need to insert some JavaScript code inside a UserControl that I load from an Ajax call via jQuery Ui Tabs. Let me explain... This is my View (with jQuery loaded)
<script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $("#tabs").tabs({ cache: false, }); getContentTab (1); }); function getContentTab(index) { var url='<%= Url.Content("~/Home/getUserControl") %>/' + index; var targetDiv = "#tabs-" + index; $.get(url,null, function(result) { $(targetDiv).html(result); }); } </script> <div id="tabs"> <ul> <li><a href="#tabs-1" onclick="getContentTab(1);">Nunc tincidunt</a></li> <li><a href="#tabs-2" onclick="getContentTab(2);">Proin dolor</a></li> <li><a href="#tabs-3" onclick="getContentTab(3);">Aenean lacinia</a></li> </ul> <div id="tabs-1"> </div> <div id="tabs-2"> </div> <div id="tabs-3"> </div> </div> With these lines of code I call the Ajax function to load the content into a DIV. This is the Action from the controller: public ActionResult getUserControl(int num) { return PartialView("TestUC", num); } And this is the UserControl... <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl" %> Number... <span id="testSpan"><%=Model.ToString() %></span>!! <input type="button" value="Click me!!" onclick="message();" /> <script type="text/javascript"> function message(item) { alert($("#testSpan").html()); } </script>
The problem is that the message() function returns always 1 (instead of returning the correct number). My question is... How should I add the script to my UserControl in order to have my code running correctly?
Click Me in a UserControl. I downloaded the sample attached there and its working fine but i am trying to create UserControl out of it. No rows are getting loaded on scrolling down. I modified the code to look like this..
var lastProductId = $("#<%=Test1.GridView1.ClientID %> tr:last").children("td:first").html(); //get last table row in order to append the new products var lastRow = $("#<%=Test1.GridView1.ClientID %> tr:last"); AND,
function GetRowsCount() { //Count no. of rows except header row in the grid. var rowCount = $('#<%=Test1.GridView1.ClientID %> tr').length - 1; return rowCount;
Its giving me error: The name 'Test1' does not exist in the current context. Test1 is the Id of my USerControl. Test1 is the ID of UserControl. I found your tutorial on similar issue but i did not use it because i am not using stored procedure and i know nothing about XML. At this point i just want to make the sample attached in that article(one i provided) to work as a UserControl.
I want to use same functionality in Ajax:Accordion. Looking for the code for this as well as instead of label in user control i want to bind the grid view.
I have a ShoppingCart UserControl on MasterPage. I have a following functionality: User adds item to the cart. after clicking the button "Complete Sale" in UserControl the page is redirected to "CustomerInfo.aspx" and after filling the Customer information and clicking on submit which is on CustomerInfo.aspx page i want to call the "Complete Sale" click event of UserControl from "Customerinfo.aspx" page.
Is it possible to call usercontrol methods/events using MSAJAX. I wanted to update my usercontrol by calling one of its events when a property from its parent page changes.
I have implemented a lot fo JQuery features into my ASP.Net web application. I am using JQuery, JQueryUI, JQuery Validation and a couple of other plugins. They are all coexisting and working fine. This one page in my app has the JQueryUI tabs, Modal progress pop-up working just fine. This page also has a couple of JQuery AJAX calls to my server side events. That all works fine!
I just added a Jquery date picker to one of the text boxes on the first tab on my data entry form and nothing happens or is displayed when you click on the date textbox. I am going to post the HTML markup for the page and my JQuery code. Please let me know if you see anything glaring? HTML
I've a ASP.Net page (Default.aspx) which will load UserControl (ucontrol.ascx) dynamically into an UpdatePanel. By using UpdatePanel, we believe we're able to prevent the entire page to be posted-back.
My problem is, within the UserControl, we have some form controls, such as inputs and buttons; after the UserControl is loaded, clicking on any button inside the UserControl will cause the UpdatePanel to be blanked. During the investigation, I found that, breakpoints within the Button1_Click() in the code-behind for the UserControl is never reached. Please reference to the code below, this references to [REFERENCE]1.
I've created a usercontrol in VB that handles paging more efficiently than the DataPager (at least for very large datasets). I'd like to use it in a C# project, but I've been having trouble getting it to work. I've tried simply adding PagingControl.ascx to the C# project, but when I do that the markup and VB code behind don't seem to see each other. --Is this a namespace issue?
I've tried adding the PagingControl.ascx to its own VB project, then adding that project to the C# project's solution, as well as a reference. --That almost works. I can register the PagingControl usercontrol in the markup. I can access the usercontrol's properties in the code behind, but any property that involves the UI of the usercontrol fails. Its seems as if the usercontrol's form hasn't had a chance to load by the time the C# page's Page_Load event handler fires. --Maybe this is an "order of operations" problem? At what point in the C# page's lifetime should a usercontrol's form be loaded?
I have a page with an UpdatePanel with a UserControl in it. That UserControl contains a GridView with a nested UserControl that seems to disappear when the parent UserControl is rebound. I cannot for the life of me figure out why the child UserControl disappears. The code works beautifully on the first load, but any partial postback causes the "Pick" UserControl to disappear.
