My question is, how do I make sure that either all the above are executed or none is executed in C#.
If the first 2nd or 3rd insert fails, everything should fail.
I need to run a variable amount of insert statements. Is it best to run through a loop and execute the query one at a time? Or, is there a way to send all the inserts in one go?

Text Input is : 123456
It appends both, so it would get: 1/26/2010-123456 Then with the button click, it inserts that data into a field in a table. Here is the page (with C# CodeBehind)

I've got a folder in my project on a live webserver, called "admin" with a file in it called "default.aspx". Now, I cannot access this folder like this: [URL] however, if I put a slash at the end, it works fine: [URL]
or, this works fine, too: [URL]
if I choose without dash, when I try to access [URL] it will return a 301 to the link without dash: [URL] The question is, how can I do that with ASP.NET MVC?

When an administrator logs in, they go to the main admin.page. From there, they can create a new complaint record-here is where i'm stuck and am looking for a better way. When the admin loads the create.aspx page. i need a way go generate a unique number that i can insert into the db. What is the best way to generate the number...i don't care whether it's numerical or combo, just unique and durning postback the number does not change...the number will be given out as a reference back to the complaint... This seems pretty standard but I can't think of a way that will not duplicate numbers and am looking for best practice with low

This is a near identical problem I am having to that of this query, albeit mine is a Web Forms scenario (using routing in .NET 4) as opposed to MVC.Add a trailing slash at the end of each url?The solution that someone mentions there is only half provided unfortunately as the link to the complete solution is broken.At the moment, any trailing slash from my page routes is removed when I get the route url.This is especially problematic when I want to use the following type of inline syntax on my web form:

Again here the trailing slash is removed, despite it being present in my route table.Can anyone please help provide a clean, efficient solution to this problem? Ideally, like the 'nearly complete' solution provided in the other Stack Overflow thread I've put above?

I am trying to sort out a trailing '/' problem I have. Below is what I have in the web.config. I think I need to add a line in the add input section. If he server receives a direct request for an image say /images/image.jpg then it is rewriten to /images/image.jpg/ - this is a major problem as I have customer 404 error pages to deal with all the page requests. I have had 1000's of exception errors because of this yesterday.

If I have a checkboxlist where I insert a clients clientid and a number of interests they check off. How do I then update that later when they check off additional interests. The insert tries to insert the original ones as well as the new ones. This is a violation of the Primary key and the statement is terminated.
Is there a way to skip some or do I need to run a delete first and remove the existing interests for that client and then do a new insert? When the page opens the checkboxlist is populated with the previous interests that were inserted for the client. The user can then check additional interests for the client and then click a button to do the insert.

i have an up & running site based on asp.net 4 routing everything works perfectly except for one page the dynamic route for this page is [URL] i also have a physical folder in the site named admin at first i was getting a iis error when i tired to access this page. then i discovered RouteExistingFiles=true so now the page shows up whats odd though that the sitempappath is empty as well as another sitemap-based treeview on the page so i checked the page's sitemap.currentnode , which is also empty. why? so more research showed that [URL] is always redirected to [URL] (realize the foward slash at end!)
if i search the sitemap like this SiteMap.Provider.FindSiteMapNode("~/Admin") then it returns the node . but like this SiteMap.Provider.FindSiteMapNode("~/Admin/") [-with fwd slash] it return nothing so the question is: why is "~/admin" always redirected to "~/admin/" and how do i either stop it or make the sitemap ignore final fwd slashes?

in above SP I define that if users tell or Mobile number was in Estate_free ro Black_list table it doesn't insert data into database and show 'You can just register 1 Time' and if there wasn't their mobile or Tell in those table it insert their data into Estate_free table and show 'You have been registered'.
problem is that when I enter data in database with new mobile number it didn't insert data in database and show 'you can just register 1 Time'.

I'm serving up PDFs from a SQL db and presenting them in the browser. I'm trying to figure out a way to embed a number in the PDF dynamically so that the recordID for that PDFs SQL record is available to me when the user submits the XML form data. The user hits the submit button on the form and the form submits its XML data to my submission page. If there is some way of changing the submission URL on the fly then I could do a query string to pass my self the recordID. I'm not generating the PDF in code, its being created by hand and then uploaded to my site.EditUser is given a link someServer.com/pdfLink.aspx?formID=5 they go there and that pages pulls a PDF from the DB and displays it. This pulls up acrobat in browser full size so my aspx page isn't in control of submitting the completed form, Acrobat is. The user fills out the form and hits the submit button in the form. This submit button was set up at form design time to point to another page someSite.com/pdfSubmit.aspx The submit button posts the XML data to that page and I can process it. I need the recordID in the query string for the someSite.com/pdfSubmit.aspx page. To do this I would need to modify the PDF to either add the recordID and query string to the submit button's submit URL, or embed it in the PDF else ware. The big question is how do I modify the PDF just before I display it via someServer.com/pdfLink.aspx?formID=5 to do either of these two options.
