I have a GridView inside a Multiview. If user clicks the select linkbutton, the link open in another tab (external website). It works fine. However, in the original page the gridview just shifts to bottom of the page. I don't know what is causing this to happen. I have other button on the grid which opens the DetailsView in another page, but that works fine. Why grid moves to bottom?

I created a grid and successfully done update, delete, filled functionality.
But whenever I m clicking on Gridview row, its hieght get increased and color of the row become red while clicking on edit button. But this problem is occuring in Mozilla,IE7 not in IE6. Project is running good in IE6. What could be the solution for this.

Is there any way to stop Gridview to turn back to first row when user click edit link button. Say there are 50 rows in gridview, user scrolled down to 45th row then click edit button. Gridview shifted to editmode but user need to roll down back again to reach the row 45th.

I saw edit,delete options etc.I just wanted to know how can check boxes be used i datagrid.My idea is when i create a datagrid and fill it with values say employee_details and in cases where i want to select some employees and then on clicking say "submit" button i want to select the employe_id(primary key) of only the checked items of datagrid and then update this in some other table.

I have a master page with an accordion in it inside the accordion panel1 are 3 dropdownlists (ajax cascading) and a button when the default page is loaded i want to select the dropdown values(this works) and then click the button to redirect to another page called test.sapx (this works). The thing i also want to do is pass the dropdownlist values to the new page as the dropdownlists reset. I was trying to do this through the click event on the button and set them in a session variable. The click event isn't firing at all. The page redirects and then if i click the button again it fires the event?

I have a Gridview with 4 columns:
1) User ID (saved in DB table)
2) Website (saved in DB table)
3) Type (saved in DB table)
4) 'View' Button
Websites are in form: [URL] ....
Type are: 1) external, 2) Fixed
When I click the 'View' button in gridview, then for Type=external, page should redirect to websites [URL] ... on button click. How to achieve this through C#.

I am using GridView in asp .net and editing data with edit command field property (as we know after updating the edited row, we automatically update the database), and I want to use transactions (with begin to commit statement - including rollback) to commit this update query in database, after clicking in some button (after some events for example), not automatically to insert or update the edited data from grid directly to the DB...so I want to save them somewhere temporary (even many edited rows - not just one row) and then to confirm the transaction - to update the real tables in database.

If dropdown value is "external", then on clicking button page should redirect to particular website link related to the above drop down. This link can differ in DB but DropDown value is same for all users i.e "External"..(these website links are saved in database, I have to fetch these links from database.

I have an inventory page with a gridview that shows 1 item per record, each item starts with a checkbox in the gridview. Currently users can select multiple records and hit the order button and everything has worked well. Now I have multiple pages in my gridview, and if a user selects a few records from the first page, and then goes to the second page, all the records (checked checkboxes) disappear from the first page.

I have the following issue:
I have a repeater that iterates over a datasource, and each detail of the datasource has a type of control or entry method, I have an enum to represent the type of control

And I have this in the repeater's ItemCreated event:

The problem comes when ENTRY_METHOD.FLEXI_SELECT is selected, because this will maps into a gridview and it need to be able to add, insert or delete items inside the gridview. Every time that I add an CommandField button with ShowSelectButton in true, it makes a postback an reloads the items inside the whole repeater, not only the gridview. This behavior is correct? How can I do to add a repeater that has inside a gridview that has select button and does not fires the repeater's OnItemCreated?
