I have a small website with a database. Just two tables for personaldata and for files belongs to the personal data.
This files are stored on HD. My problem is to delete this file by clicking on delete button within gridview. At the moment only the record is deleting but not the file which belongs to this record.
That is my Gridview:
[Code]....
and that is my codebehind file:
[Code]....
and see the screenshot. (how it looks like)
i get allready help here to create the right codebehind file for that.
i have tried that this way:
[Code]....
But i think instead of txtFile.Text the filename of thefile should be readed out of the database on this place or Im wrong?
Would like to know how can I delete all the session state data (Empty Cart) and deleting a single row from the gridview while still in session state. (Remove Item).
COMPLETE NOOB, dont know anything.. I have a Virtual directory ~/ClubInfoFiles that i upload some files too using a uploader i made. I might want to change the uploader i made to be able to change to a subdirectory or something so i can upload all files into one folder but different subdirectorys. the uploader i would like to be able to have a dropdown menu of all the subdirectorys within "ClubInfoFiles" say i has subfolders : Minutes, Flight Plans, Maintence Records, etc... but i would also like a field to where i can create a new subdirectory and have it automaticly update the dropdown. i want to list those files in gridview and have a link to dowload/open and dellete the files. i have found some code that gets close but it uses Auto Generate columns. really i dont need all that jazz, just the Name, File extention, and hyperlink the file for download/view. i would like to be able to delete and possible upload using the gridview... is this to much for a noob?
I am trying to delete an asp.net user from all tables. When I call: bool isDeleted = Membership.DeleteUser(username, true); isDeleted is being set to false; Is there a way to tell why it is not deleting the user?
I have a repeater which binds a set of data. Within this repeater is a column with various controls for updating, deleting, etc. These are image buttons which fire an onclick event such as "DeleteRecord". All this does is fire a stored procedure, passing in the ID of the record to delete from the CommandArgument of the object.
This works wonderfully... except for one rather huge problem. Once you delete a record, if you refresh the page, the record where the first deleted record used to be gets deleted. For instance... if I have 4 records
1 Record1 2 Record2 3 Record3 4 Record4
and I delete record 2... The page reloads with (which is fine):
1 Record1 3 Record3 4 Record4
...if I then hit refresh...
1 Record1 4 Record4
I assume this is because the erroneously deleted object (record3) is now in the same hierarchical place as the old object used to be and .net therefore doesn't know the difference, the page refreshes and fires the onlick event, grabbing out the command argument of the new object and deletes based on the ID as obtained from the commandargument of the new object. This is obviously a huge problem, if a client did this it would destroy data erroneously and I'm at a loss here. Is there any way to stop this from happening? I'm not sure if there is a better way to go about doing things or not. If there isn't, I need some sort of way to tell the page not to execute the event or to cross reference the ID of the object that is intended for deletion against the object itself...
Code below for convenience...
EDIT Wrapped a LinkButton around it because I have some jquery code in here as well which stops the page execution to wait for user confirmation. Pressing "ok" continues page execution.
<asp:LinkButton ID="oDeleteLink" CssClass="oDeleteIcon" CommandName="Delete" CommandArgument='<%# Eval("iAccountID") %>' runat="server"> <asp:ImageButton ImageUrl="/files/system/icons/trash-steel-16.png" ToolTip="Delete This Account" AlternateText="Delete" ID="oDeleteIcon" runat="server" /> </asp:LinkButton> protected void oAccounts_ItemCommand(Object Sender, RepeaterCommandEventArgs e) { if (e.CommandName == "Delete") { int ID = e.CommandArgument.ToString().Numeric(); db.SPs.SpDeleteAccount(ID).Execute(); UI.Confirm(uiBroadcast, "Account has been deleted", "300px"); BindAccounts(); } }

Let suppose, I am building an asp.net website which has login scenario in it. I want to provide a certain functionality to the website that if the user is already login on computer 1 and now try to login on computer 2, so he will be allowed to remain login on computer 2, while automatically logout him from computer 1. I also know that http is a stateless medium, so whenever user interact with computer 1 and try to interact with the page, it will get noticed at that time.
I have written a SP which maintains users log in and log out history,it works fine when any user logs in or clicks on log out, problem is that as per need its not to allowed to keep the screen idle for 1 minute or more then in the log out column Null value is passed.
SP
Create proc usp_trackuserlogindetails @username varchar(50) = null, @command int = 0 as BEGIN if(@command = 0) begin insert into userlog (USERNAME,LOGIN,LOGOUT) values (@username,Getdate(),Null)
[Code] ....
Here when user manually clicks the log out button then 1(table above) is the output.
When user leaves the screen idle then after 1 minute the page goes to the Login.aspx page if the user tries to do something on the current page, here 2(table above) is the output can i store some hard core value instead of Null like Session expire or the exact session expires time.
URL.... Still there will be need of url in ajax method if i put javascript in site.master.cs . As what i have understood from that mysite.master.cs will be like this :
I am a little bit new at handling multiple sessions congruently.
Basically i have created a chat application. In which i have a moderator page.
Now the moderator has the privilege to block particular users from the chat. Every user including the moderator has a session variable defined as Session["UserID"].
e.g for the username "moderator" the Session["UserID"]=moderator.
Now as i am logged in as the moderator how do i delete the session of a particular user whom i want to block the chat from commencing.
In my website,I have a home page in which by clicking on an image button,I get redirected to a different .apsx page .This page consists of a FileUpload control and 2 buttons(ATTACH,CANCEL).When a user selects/browses a file from his local machine and click ATTACH button,I display that file in a GRIDVIEW and also push the details of that file like Filename into a DATATABLE. The user in this way can browse multiple files and all of them are added to GridView and also pushed to DATATABLE.Now when the user clickes CANCEL button,I am sending the whole DATATABLE in a session object to the HOME page.Upon clicking SAVE button in the home page, the files in the DATATABLE must get stored in a physical location that I mention in the code. The problem that I am facing is that when I write
The files are not at all getting saved in the location. However If I pass the FileUpload control using Session from the second page,
FileUpload fl=(FileUpload)Session["FileUpload"]
The files are getting saved with the correct filenames but the content of all the files consists of the content of the latest uploaded file.I know what the problem is but unable to get a solution. My Requirement is to save the files in a physical path only after clicking the Save button in the home page.
i am using a multi selecting file upload control which is postBack free.
I am using session timeout.
My problem is that during files uploading my session got expired. Bcoz my uploader not being postback so i can't enhance session timeout. and while uploading my session got expired and process was not ompleted, causes some imp files could not uploaded.
