URL.... Still there will be need of url in ajax method if i put javascript in site.master.cs . As what i have understood from that mysite.master.cs will be like this :
Let suppose, I am building an asp.net website which has login scenario in it. I want to provide a certain functionality to the website that if the user is already login on computer 1 and now try to login on computer 2, so he will be allowed to remain login on computer 2, while automatically logout him from computer 1. I also know that http is a stateless medium, so whenever user interact with computer 1 and try to interact with the page, it will get noticed at that time.
I am new to asp development but have been around c# for a while. Basically I am trying to create a page which will pull data from a database and then for each object it creates I would like to add a user control which is built to represent that object. So basically I have tried quite a number of things to get it to work but for some reason I can't figure it out! How can I programmably add user controls and then set their properties from a 'master' page which hosts the user controls?
The Silverlight app has a link to a different group of reports. This *was* working fine but no more. In the following code you can see the 'Reports' part that it calls another page [URL] namely right here: WHat is happening is when the reports page is called, it goes into 'Session timeout ' right away.
I have made a web page in which there is login screen when user login it goes next page but my problem is if i directly enter the url of that page it open. I want it should not open unless the user log in...
I've made a membership by create user wizard. everything is good but after click on finish register button, when page redirect to index .aspx, this page thinks tht user logged in. whereas user didnt login just added to DB.here is the code:
When a user wants to view another user profile on user profile page this error will show up

I simply want to display a message on the login page when the user is automatically redirected there after requesting a page that they were logged in for but their session has now expired. So essentially if the user was working but stepped away for a lunch break without logging out I want the system to tell them why they were sent back to the login page.
Something like "You have been idle for too long so you must log back in".
This has to be easy I am just running into a wall here. I thought about getting the original ticket and reading the expiration date but I'm a little lost.
I've got a web site that has a master page and that master page (mpMaster that has a user control ucControl1) which has a sub user control (ucControl2), this user control has a property which accepts a value. Now, I have a page that uses the master page and on this page I have another user control (ucPageControl), I need to find a way of setting the value in ucControl2 from ucPageControl. Is this possible at all?
I have at present two master pages, what I want to achieve is the following; One user control loads, there is a button to click, when user clicks that button the user control should unload upon session authentication and the second one loads. However, the second one has a button as well, and I want to click on that button to unload that control from master page and reload the first user control.
I have user control which is attached to one master page in one of the content placeholers ,but when I create the content pages ,I cannot see the user control, that's why I manually write in every content page
I have written a SP which maintains users log in and log out history,it works fine when any user logs in or clicks on log out, problem is that as per need its not to allowed to keep the screen idle for 1 minute or more then in the log out column Null value is passed.
SP
Create proc usp_trackuserlogindetails @username varchar(50) = null, @command int = 0 as BEGIN if(@command = 0) begin insert into userlog (USERNAME,LOGIN,LOGOUT) values (@username,Getdate(),Null)
[Code] ....
Here when user manually clicks the log out button then 1(table above) is the output.
When user leaves the screen idle then after 1 minute the page goes to the Login.aspx page if the user tries to do something on the current page, here 2(table above) is the output can i store some hard core value instead of Null like Session expire or the exact session expires time.
On page load is there a way to enumerate all the nest user controls for that specific page load?
I'd like to be able to enumerate all the user controls that implement an interface, and call the interface method for the controls before asp.net passes control to thier page_load events.
The problem is from the master page level, any page in the app could be loading, and each of them could have any random user control, and I need the type reference to determine if they implement the interface, and to call the method.
I have a ShoppingCart UserControl on MasterPage. I have a following functionality: User adds item to the cart. after clicking the button "Complete Sale" in UserControl the page is redirected to "CustomerInfo.aspx" and after filling the Customer information and clicking on submit which is on CustomerInfo.aspx page i want to call the "Complete Sale" click event of UserControl from "Customerinfo.aspx" page.
I created timecard for a website and I would like to automatically clock out the user everytime when user logout or close the website. Is there a control for that? And if yes, where do i have to put he code at?? I think it should be in the code behind of master page... and on the Page_Load function
