when i browse the page with firefox and click on the input Request.Params["btnshoppingCart"] != null or Request.Form["btnshoppingCart"] != null is statisfied.
When i browse the same page with internet explorer 8 and click on the same input Request.Params["btnshoppingCart"] != null or Request.Form["btnshoppingCart"] != null is not satisfied. When i used the watch i saw that there is no key by the name of "btnshoppingCart" in either Request.Form or Request.Params if input is clicked from internet explorer. However when it is clicked from firefox there is value "shoppingCart" inside Request.Form and Request.Params against "btnshoppingCart" key. One more strange thing that i observed was that are two keys "btnshoppingCart.x" and "btnshoppingCart.y" inside both Request.Form and Request.Params whenver clicking is done from both internet explorer and firefox. This is happening against all inputs of type image irrespective if the input is present inside a html form or not. Forms are created like this
<% using (Html.BeginForm("Action", "Controller", FormMethod.Post)){%>
The version of internet explorer is 8.0 and firefox is 3.6.6
While adding the parameters to get/post request they need to be encoded in application/x-www-form-urlencoded form. So do we need to encode values each time ? Does JavaScript have any method for that ? What are the possible caches ?On server side when we read the values we do not decode them we directly say Request.Params["key"] and that returns value. Does that mean that they are automatically taken care when we read the values?
I'm developing a pretty standard MVC application.. I've set the routing up as follows:
[Code]....
Everything works perfectly in all browsers - apart from IE. If I am on, say, Stock/Index/, it will fire the Stock/Index/ GET request, then fire the Stock/NewLines/ request afterwards..Obviously this isn't desired behaivour - as I understand it, the default route value is for when the router can't find the requested controller/action/route, and so sends the request there..Can't seem to find any info on the web about this,
I'm using HttpModule to capture requests to the web server. Before processing the page I'd like to check the values contained in some keys of the Request.Form collection and according to some logic change if necessary. I'd like to do this when BeginRequest event is fired. The problem is that the Request.Form collection is readonly.
I have asp button control on my page. Upon running in IE, it is not doing anything even postback. While the same is running perfect in Firefox. I have surfed the web regarding the problems and almost applied all the things. I have no double forms tag. I found one solution to set UseSubmitBehavior="false". After this, it work but my text box controls lose its content. I am using framework 3.5.
i want to send mail to user using checkbox selection within Grid View so i write this code using this website: [URL] But problem is this is working in mozilla but not in IE 8 , my IE enable script debugging. here is my code:
I tried a lot but I could not figure out why the IE is not taking font size and name in to effect from CSS. In firefox my website could be seen very nice but in IE it is little bit unshiny and font size is bigger For the difference which I am talking about could be seen if your PC have both firefox and IE installed. [URL] open it in FF and IE and you could see the font and alignment related change. All these settings are in body element of CSS. Do you any idea regarding this?
I'm working on some basic form validation styles for an ASP.Net website. I need to select all span elements that are visible, and add a css style to another element. (Just to indicate which input fields are invalid.) The below code works like a charm in FF and Safari, but fails in IE. I've narrowed the problem down to the :visible selector. Here's the jQuery code. IMPORTANT NOTE: Production site is running jQuery 1.3.1 There were changes made to the :visible selector in 1.3.2 release notes
I have a simple form written in asp.net/C# and when trying to hit enter while in the form's input box doesn't submit the form for some reason. I had implemented a fix for a previous bug where pressing enter would merely refresh the page without submitting the form data but now pressing enter just does nothing, the fix is below:
I am creating an accordion dynamically through aspx.cs file. There is a subaccordion inside each accordion pane. I am seeing that if there are 10 or more accordion panes in the root accordion, then I can only expand first 4 or 5 panes. Nothing happens when I click on other panes. This is happening in IE8, tried on three different machines. I don't see this problem with Mozilla, it can open as many panes as possible, I have tried with 20 panes in mozilla.
I am using Tabcontainer of AJAX Control Toolkit . The problem is that, i have 15 tabpanels. this tabs in three lines, first 5 in one line, second 5 tabs in second line, third 5 tabs in third line.
If I click first / six/fifteen'th tab means it shows the relevant tabpanel with data correctly.
Each tabs have three buttons like Save, Edit and Cancel
All three line's tabpanels works properly in Chrome and Firefox.
But in IE,
First line tabpanel's button work properly...
second and third line tabpanel's buttons is not work properly,
if I click the second and third line tabpanel's buttons means.. It didn't go to page load..
I am using ShDocVW.InternetExplorer class to spawn a new internet explorer object and to do some form filling stuffs(for some sharepoint works). It works fine in my own machine which has Windows 7 as the OS. But when I deployed the same thing in windows server 2003 machine, it does not pop up the internet explorer window. When I check the Task Manager, I could see a new iexplore process, but with Session ID = 0 (but session ID = 1 in windows 7). So, I see this is something regarding IIS Session isolation. So, is it possible to assign a ShDocVW.InternetExplorer instance to kind of a new System.Diagnostics.Process and achieve this task? Or can we start a new ShDocVW.InternetExplorer instance with session ID = 1?
I am creating a Payment request form that my customers are going to fill out and submit so they get paid I would classifi it as an invoice. Does any one have any examples or point me to a good place to read about creating this type of form and the database tables to support the application?
The form will basically have some fields they will fill in for the header then in the related stuf come charge amounts with there types aka partnumbers of sorts and also the ablity to put in there own types / aka partnumbers and there amounts. I wont be housing any amounts they will supply all the information of payment amounts and types.
I have a webservice which works 100% fine on my developer machine. Where Web Service is installed on LOCALHOST on my developer machine,Then i went to my servers, I installed webservice on one server and map it with the server where the website is hosted, Then i tried accessing this service using BROWSER from my web server, it worked fine, That means the mapping was done perfect. Then i run my program on web server (website). It worked fine on page1, then on page2, but when i did the same and call same function on page3, It popped me any error of
Is it at all possible to inject a request into IIS for a page, have IIS and ASP.Net handle it as normal, but get the response as html handed back to me programmatically?
Yes, I know that I could connect to port 80 using WebRequest and WebResponse, but that becomes difficult if you are accessing the IIS server from the same physical machine (loopback security controls et al).
Basically, I want to inject the request (eg for [URL]) between the points at which IIS would normally talk to the browser, and the point at which it would route it to the correct ASP.Net application, and get a response back from IIS between the points at which ASP.Net/IIS applies the httpfilters and hands the html back to the browser.
I'm predominantly working with IIS7 so if there is a solution that works just for IIS7 then thats not an issue.
when i test this page http://www.catalogues4u.com.au/ViewCategory.aspx?catID=119 im getting the above error. to replicate this issue visit the above page in ie7 and you will get the prompt.
I there a way to know if a request is a soap request on AuthenticateRequest event for HttpApplication? Checking ServerVariables["HTTP_SOAPACTION"] seems to not be working all the time.
public void Init(HttpApplication context) { context.AuthenticateRequest += new EventHandler(AuthenticateRequest); } protected void AuthenticateRequest(object sender, EventArgs e) { app = sender as HttpApplication; if (app.Request.ServerVariables["HTTP_SOAPACTION"] != null) { // a few requests do not enter here, but my webservice class still executing // ... } } I have disabled HTTP POST and HTTP GET for webservices in my web.config file. <webServices> <protocols> <remove name="HttpGet" /> <remove name="HttpPost" /> <add name="AnyHttpSoap" /> </protocols> </webServices> Looking at ContentType for soap+xml only partially solves my problem. For example, Cache-Control: no-cache Connection: Keep-Alive Content-Length: 1131 Content-Type: text/xml Accept: */* Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate Accept-Language: ro Host: localhost mymethod: urn:[URL]
Some clients instead of having the standard header SOAPAction: [URL], have someting like in example above. "mymethod" represents the method in my web service class with [WebMethod] attribute on it and [URL] is the namespace of the webservice. Still the service works perfectly normal. The consumers use different frameworks (NuSOAP from PHP, .NET, Java, etc).
