If I develop a Windows User Control and host it inside an aspx web form, does the user's machine accessing the aspx page needs .NET Framework?
Does the Windows User Control hosted inside an aspx or web form requires any downloading of the control similar to an ActiveX control? Or Is it rendered like a HTML page?
I have created user control inside update panel but validation is not working.. and i have 10 these usercontrols so how can i do validation on save..?

Yeah some people would say "Are you crazy using winforms controls inside asp forms"... and I think they are right. But I would say.. "I'm not the only one!!, take a look" [URL] So... Doing some kind of stuff like the previous link. I did the following:

I am using a server control on a single web.forms page. I have to use this control on a web.forms page since its a server control, although this is actually a MVC project. So I created a web.forms folder and put my new page in it. I then copy the example code from the signature control. I get the following error:
The base class includes the field 'ctrlSign', but its type (WebSignatureCapture.SignatureControl) is not compatible with the type of control (ASP.signaturecapture_signaturecontrol_ctlsignature_ascx).
I know the code works because if I removed the ID attribute from the server control, it no longer gives me this error and my control renders. But I need the attribute for the ID so I can perform is post event

I am hosting a Windows User Control in my web page using <object> tag. Everything works fine when the control is outside the updatepanel and is independent of other web controls but when I move the control inside the update panel, it doen't load the user control properly.

why it doesn't render the control properly and what can I do to fix it?
I tried moving the user control outside the update panel but since this user control is shown/hidden dynamically and is rendered based on other web controls which are inside an Update Panel, the user control is not shown at all.
I have a Web User Control. I want to use this control in other web applications, I dont want to expose the code of my web user control. If modification is required in web user control it can be extended in respective web application. to extend web user control.Any other alternative to this.

On the other hand, I have another web user control that represents the item in the form of an editable form (I made this a user control because this is used in two different pages). I want to embed an instance of the message box user control inside the editable form. I am writing this right after the @Control directive:

Instead of using @Register directives, I register the user controls in web.config and so far this has worked just fine.
With the above markup, the project compiles, but whenever I try to navigate to a page that contains this construct, I get an HttpParseException exception. Furthermore, Visual Studio states that the tack w7rc9:MessageBox doesn't represent a known control.
What am I doing wrong?
I have usercontrol which has required field validation in it. I have 2 instances of this usercontrol in single web page . Now if I click button on first usercontrol the validation messages are fired for 2 user controls. But only the required fields of that user control has to be fired.

I've created a multiple uploadfile user control - upload_multiple_files.ascx:

which has an update panel ID = up_upload_multiple_files this user control will be placed inside a modalpopupextender. My question is when I click in any button AddFile, RemvFile, Upload there's a postback so the page is reloaded and the modalpopupextender disapears Is there a way to to troubleshoot this?

I have created a Templated User Control (see:

It has one template <ContentTemplate>. Inside that template, I've defined a couple of server controls with their properties = '<%# Bind("colName") #>'.

I have a call to my business object that returns an entity CFUser that has a FirstName parameter on it of type string. However, after I make the call and bind the object, the codebehind executes which fills the BindUser property with the correct value. However, nothing shows up in the textbox.

I have an ASP.NET 4.0 application with some simple user controls. The user controls work fine on the design surface (VS.NET 2010), but when they're loaded during application execution, nothing shows up.
Futhermore, the various child controls of the user controls are null when referenced inside the code behind for the user control.
The code behind for the user control executes as expected, but any reference to child controls are null.
It's like ASP.NET is never parsing the ASCX to create the instances of the child controls.
