ADO.NET :: Run Sql Queries For Specific Operation

In my web application, I need to run a lot of sql queries for a specific operation. For example, first I run a select command , get results. If they fulfill my requirement, I insert some values by insert command, else I update and insert...and so on. I need to execute 8-10 commands for each specific operation. For this , I have created a <asp:Sqldatasource> in aspx page and I run queries by SqlDataSource1.Select, SqlDataSource1.InsertCommand etc. I dont think , its a right approach . Further, I need to preserve data consistency. Say my 5 commands executes successfully and then sql or something else, throws an error and 5 commands left untouched. Then, it will create me a problem. And my current logic will fail, as it works on step by step basis.

At work, I'm currently doing an ASP.NET project, where I have to connect an MS Access file to ASP.NET.
This has been done successfully. Next, I had to create a login page, this has been succeeded as well.
Now I have make sure everyone sees unique queries from the database. Example: There are 12 queries in the database; one person has to see another query than the other person can see. But there are some products, which everyone has to see as well.
How do I do that without creating server errours (I get them a lot with one little change).

in my case, It is the windows service which in running the long running insert/update on a table and I need to cancel the operation from my ASP.NET application. In the above link Burnsys suggests that one should kill the Sql server session. Is that really only way and a goood practice to do this? Also, in the same poset can use SqlCommand.Cancel to cancel. However, I am not sure how can I cancel the command from the windows service from ASP.NET application.

This is my Controller Action which takes a Page entity from database and shows it in the Show.aspx view using the "Site.Master" master page:

Using this approach i can show "Page.Title" in Show.aspx using any master page that has a "MainContent" placeholder, but my real goal is if i can when i choose the MasterPage for that particular Page to also see a list of available ContentPlaceHolders and when i choose one to then render "Page.Title" in that particular ContentPlaceHolder.

My application for "Members subscriptions registration" working online and different users using it.
Database type is Mssql Server 2008 R2, Size is around 1 Gb
What happen exactly there is specific record delete from table "Members" in random times, For example I add 100 new subscriptions with around 800 records and make confirm and checking next day find it loss 3 records find it deleted.
I checked all the applications no any delete query, I removed all delete query from application to make sure no any delete also I save any delete query happen in system inside table for log.

My Company registered in certain services on the Web and are relying on the company's Ip to use these services, Director asked me to allow some staff to enter these sites from outside the company,after authorized staff enter to comany's site, How could they use the company's Ip to allow them to browse services sites ? Do I need to use a method such as proxy sites like youtube proxy? or there is another way?How do I do this in asp.net?

I've added a database to one of my projects and I'm wondering how I can get intellisense for them.
Basically I have no how I can query the database that I've added to the project. I know SQL fairly well, but I don't know how I can write queries within vb.net and have them display.
I can get, so intellisense will probably be invaluable.

I have a query which gets the text from a textbox and inputs it into the database.
It works fine if the value is something like Taylor but errors when it's O'Neill because the apostrophe gives a syntax error unclosed quotation mark Is there a way to add O'Neill to the database with the apostrophe still there?
I don't want to replace it with a double single quote I want it to be put in the database as it shows.

I'm going to try to use the WebClient object in .NET to grab the response querystring values sent back by the resource.
I'm familiar with grabbing xml, json, etc. but typically I haven't worked with many NVP type of APIs in terms of grabbing the query immediately from an response sent back from a resource server-side. So how is a query sent back, in the body of a response, header, what? How do you grab it, with the stream object just like you do anything else? This questions relates to the environment I work in C# but really it relates to the web as a whole as well which is why I tagged this in multiple categories as a Request/Response is not MS specific however I am also at the same time trying to utilize the .NET WebClient object.

I use LINQ-SQL as my DAL, I then have a project called DB which acts as my BLL. Various applications then access the BLL to read / write data from the SQL Database.
I have these methods in my BLL for one particular table:

If i am having 2 dropdownlists, 3 gridview and many more databinding controls in a single form and I am binding different data to those controls, so I need to create stored procedure for every individual operation OR stored procedures are mainly use for inserting,updating or deleting.cos it is a bad habit to use inlinecode.
if I create sp for every single operation there might be a lots of sp in my databse... it is good for being a programmer or not.

Situation: I am trying to consume a clients web service for CC authorization. They are not publishing the WSDL file on there site, but they have provided the WSDL file. I am using Visual Studio 2005 and creating a web application that consumes the web service.The only reference to this error that seems to apply is here: http://followtheheard.blogspot.com/2007/12/consuming-web-services.html. I installed WSE3.0 and configured my project to use WSE and am calling the WSE version of the web reference and I am still getting this error.
