AJAX :: CollapsiblePanel Didn't Show Animation When Deploy On Win2003 Server?
Jul 19, 2010
In my ASP.net application i used AJAX Collapsible Panel, its working fine on my local system but after publishing and deploying on win2003 server, panel is in expand mode and dont show animation on click and also on that web form asp menu is not showing submenus. It all happens on clients machines. On server it still somehow showing some animation.
Any one has got a working example for the OnHoverOver and OnHoverOut animations ?I have tried one but it's not perfectly working, as I don't know how to change the position of the Popup panel or resize it !! and I still can see a grey shadow before my popup panel appears..it's weird... Here is my code :
I need to have a stack of 10 text lines, possibly div's, and insert a line arbitrarily somehere in the list. In addition I'd like to fade in a highlight (for the new line) and fade out.Is MSFT AJAX the correct tool to use for this?
In HomeController i have set the view data values (ViewData["message"] = "World!";)..
After assigned value it returned to Index page to show. In index page i used code <%= ViewData["message"] %>.. But it didnt display anything.. What is wrong in my code..
am querying an Oracle database thru an ASP.NET web page, but the other day, the webpage didn't show any results after 5 minutes which normally takes about 3 secs. Then, 3 hours after, I got an email from the IT Dept asking me to kill my task which was taking a lot of ressources, but I couldn't since there is no way to send a user cancel request as I can do for instance with SQL Naviguator. So, they had to kill it for me. However, I do't want it to happen again because I don't want to overload the servers because of a query that didn't execute properly.
So, I thought about including connection timeout into my connection string, but there is already a default value. So, is it possible to avoid that kind of situation? My code contains a try {} finally {} to trap errors, but I didn't seem to work in this case.
I am plannning to use the html editor control of asp.net ajax library in my website. what I need to do to deploy the asp.net ajax library on the server that is hosting my website ?
I have problem with AsyncFileUpload in CollapsiblePanel. In debug mode i have this error: "a._innerTB.style.width=a._inputFile.offsetWidth-107+"px"". I an begginer programmer and this is first time i see that kind of error. When AsyncFileUpload is outside the Panel or AsyncFileUpload everthing works perfect but i need this in AsyncFileUpload. Anyone know how to fix it? Or maybe there is another way to send file without reloading whole page (asp FIleUpload require reload)
I'm trying to open a collapsible panel outside the gridview when the user click the select button of the gridview.I use a Templatefield with a ItemTemplate and a LinkButton to open the collapsible panel. The collapsible panel have the details of the selected gridview row.I'm have this error:
I've had the lastest build in use for a while but only tried using a CollapsiblePanel yesterday and found it didn't work. No clues as to why not. The panels just stay open and images show as empty.
Just moved to ASP.Net 4.0 with VS2010. Is this the issue?
I have this panel inside which I need to put some TextBoxes. Problem is, that when I throw inside the first TextBox, the Panel, which was working well before, collapses only until it reaches the bottom of the TextBox control. Anybody knows why? Here' the markup
I have a textbox sitting at the bottom of a collapsible panel which has a RequiredFieldValidator sitting underneath that. If a user tries to submit the form without filling in this textbox then the RequiredFieldValidator generates a little "Required" box beneath the textbox. The trouble is that the panel doesn't resize propely and only the top of the validation warning box is visible so the message isn't legible.
I tried adding some margin-bottom to the div that contains the textbox and validator to ensure the space was already there but the moment the validation box appears the collapsible panel automatically resizes so the bottom of the panel meets the bottom of the textbox, ignoring the prior margin. Apart from moving the validation box, does anyone know how I can get the collapsible panel to resize correctly?
I'm using ajax collapsiblepanel inside a datalist for replying a particular question. see here http://www.admissionhelpline.com/ . Its working fine. But if i replace the textbox with ajax html editor, its not closing. [Code]....
Ques 1. I am pasting only excerpts of my panel code (limited length here) within which I have 3 levels. The collapsible panel works fine till level 2 but when I am clicking on level 3 it shows for a second and collapses back to level 2. The collapsible doesnt work on panel pnlUserAccess below.
Ques 2. Can I make collapsible panel work on particular button click or image click?. As when I just put to to 2 levels I have to edit within the gridview and as soon as I click on the checkbox to edit the panel collapses.. I need to just give it a tree view style of appearance.
Ques 3. Can I also make the collapsible panel enable on read mode and disable on edit mode (if there is no possiblity for Ques 2)how to make it work. Just to be more specific on the code.
I have added 4 CollapsiblePanel programmatically and it is working with IE7 and IE8 but it is not working with IE6 its behaving flashing while expand and collapse and on mouse move to the panel.
Tried to test .net4rc1 site on test host with win2003. As expected by default server returned error about " targetFramework="4.0" in web.config. But since I switched ASP.NET version to 4.0 and reboot that site just returning 404.
I am working on ASP.NET Ajax site. Application is working fine when I run in my local machine, but same code if I place in Server then it is giving "SpanID is undefined" Javascript error. I found error is due to UI.dll file.
I have been using gridveiw to show uploaded files after that I have already put the new column to download these files. If I will put EnableEventValidation="true" and EnablePartialRendering="true"(ToolkitScriptManager), it is didn't work and error messages apperar like this:

I have a serious problem with my asp.net application. Since yesterday i got a timemout error when i request a web page. The web page sends a request to a sal server 2008 and fail with timeout error.
This application is running under /win2008 standard edition.
I tried to use the same application on iis/win2003 with the same sql server database, it runs with no problem.
Is there any difference between IIS/win2003 and IIS/win2008 settings?
I'm trying to figure out a way to tie the AJAX animation framework to the AJAX Tabs container. For example, one thing I want to do is use the fade animation when selecting a different tab. I've yet to find a way to have individual control of the tabs other than the content and CSS. Does anyone know where I can do some research into this, and what I should be looking into to learn how to do this
I use the PopupControlExtender to show a Panel after clicking a ImageButton. The Panel can be closed by clicking the page outside the panel. This is working fine.
I added an Animation Fading Out the Panel when the Panel is clicked (I have no button on the panel). This is working fine to.
The problem comes when I click the Imagebutton (The Panel appears) followed by clicking the Panel itself (The Panel disappears). If I now click the Imagebutton again, nothing happens as if the animation was not considered finished. The Panel should have appeared again.
If I change the focus on the page, then the animation is in some way reactivated and the popup works again. I already tried the following :
- Setting the focus to a random control on the page using <ScriptAction />
Is there a way to reset the animation using Javascript ? Using "setValue(value);" ?
<asp:ImageButton ID="ImageButton1" runat="server" ImageUrl="~/App_Themes/Images/Vraagteken.gif" OnClientClick="return false;" UseSubmitBehavior="false" ToolTip="Kies de bedrijfs sector waarvoor de tekst is bedoeld" />
My ajaxcontrol toolkit is working fine. But when i add animation tag into it like this. Now when i execute the browser is waiting for some thing and my IDE(visual studio 2008) is asking for a cs file. How to make this file?
