Feb 16, 2010I am developing a project which has a master page and content page.In my content page I was using a gridview query from database with image display as an image button, when user click on the image in the gridview it will trigged a lightbox through Javascript. I follow the tutorial from the link in the following link [URL]
Everything works great when its on a stand alone page , however, as soon as I put the GridView in my content page then click on the image from the image button in the GridView I will be resulting the following error. Server Error in '/Photo_Master' Application. Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using <pages enableEventValidation="true"/> in configuration or <%@ Page nableEventValidation="true" %> in a page. For security purposes, this feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback events originate from the server control that originally rendered them. If the data is valid and expected, use the ClientScriptManager.RegisterForEventValidation method in order to register the postback or callback data for validation.
Here is my code, I noticed OnClientClick = "return LoadDiv(this.src);" in the following image button will return false to prevent postback, however, it will only work if this is a stand alone page but not in the content page that links to a master page. I had tried the following approaches, but none of them works.
1.) EnableEventValidation = "false" --- Page is not going to break at least but No Lightbox pop up.
2.) Added PostBackURL ="javascript:Void(0);" as the properties of <asp:imagebutton> in the GridView - Did not work.
*PS - I had tried to put my lightbox pop up page on either master or content page tried different ways , however, nothing works. My goal is to have the PhotoGallery display in GridView where image display as an ASP.net imagebutton control under the content page, when user click on the imagebutton the lightbox effect will show.

Mar 30, 2011Don't know if this is possible, but i have a site with categories, when you click a category i want it to redirect to the same page, but with a querystring parameter of the category id. The page will then load a lightbox to open the images with the correct category id. That is my basic thought. if any1 has a better ide, i'll gladly listen. Dont worry about the linq2sql parts, that i am sure how to do.

This highlights the div after postback but the timeout value doesn't work it continues to show highlighted color and doesn't change back.

Feb 22, 2010I want to do something like netflix, where when you hover over something like a hyperlink (netflix, is an image) a panel displays, when the mouse moves off of the control, the panel hides itself.Any suggestions on how to do this and with which control? The CaseSensivity setting on the ComboBox has no effect on this and it was the same with the asp List Box. We sometimes have data imported that has incorrect case and causes this problem.

Oct 13, 2010I've written a nice page with accordion element in it, but I've found that on some browsers, with some setting- the accordion won'trespond to clicking on it. So, what I get is an accordion that shows headers, but clicking on them won't open the data.What I'm guessing is that the sliding effect is blocked for some reason.What I'm trying to achieve are this two:1. Cancel the sliding effect so the data will show right-away, thus answering the problem caused by some browsers2. Cancel It only when the page detects that there might be a problem. (I'm not quite sure what setting I am looking for).Obviously, 1 is quite more urgent. If 2 is not solved I geuss I can use 1 for all the cases, but still- If anyone could find answer for 1- that would be great.

As a result I can perfectly swith from Details view to Edit view in ajax manner ; however when I change to Edit mode in this approach, the "obtrusive js validation" loses its function that it can't prevent user from callback ajax even with invalid inputs. I think this is a common issue for MVC3 developers, could anyone help to give a standardized solution against this ? or any other valuable solutions ?In a word, just want to realize the traditional UpdatePanel-based "Edit,Details" effect on MVC mode with ajax .

Aug 7, 2010How can I achieve hover effect for the ajaxtoolkit combobox. I just need an outline for the entire combo i.e. outline for combo-textbox and combo-button when hovering over the combobox otherwise it should return to the normal outline color.
I could only get the hovering effect for combo-textbox alone and that too an outline creates at outer of the existing combo-textbox outline.
BTW: how can I attach an image from my desktop?

May 19, 2010there are animation effect to controls onload , onmouseover, onclick ...... but i can't find method to give animation effect to a label ontextchanged .
how to do this. I have asp.net page left side tab container each tab panel have options to procede a quotation when clicking radio buttons or check boxes right side panel gives quotation, and change total price on label.
I could give animationextender for each radiobuttons or check box control and give animation effect to label.

Button To Open Panel Resets The Form?
Jul 20, 2010We have an application that runs with IE. Iīm trying to set up a ASP site. The application has some kind of autofunction. If the textboxes is named correctly they will read the data from a SQL server table (eg names, addresses).
I have set up a panel and a button (button2"). When the button is used the panel becomes visible. However this does also resets the form to itīs initial state. Letīs say I have changed the name input and then press the button, itīs reset the form and inputs to itīs earlier value. I donīt want that to happen. Also the button "mail" isnīt visible until I press the button to show the panel, but the button "mail" is not included in the panel.
Why is this happen?
