AJAX :: JS Code Is Cached On IIS 7.0 Windows Vista And Cannot Modify JS Code
Jun 22, 2010
I have a WCF 3.5 service with JSON and a aspx page consuming it by using ASP.NET Ajax Library
I was able to call service succesfully. In the aspx page I wrote my Java code directly and then I wanted to modify my JS function but it is always picking the old JS function code
I even restarted the machine no change, looked up on the internet, msdn and I have Default pool with Integration mode
My laptop is running Windows Vista. I recently upgraded it to Windows Vista SP2 and I am trying to install .Net Framework 3.5 on my laptop and whenever I try to install .Net Framework 3.5 I get the following error (error code - 1603):-
54] Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 'package': [2] Error: Installation failed for component Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 'package'. MSI returned error code 1603 [07/20/10,23:05:11] WapUI: [2] DepCheck indicates Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 'package' is not installed.
"Firstly check if "default.aspx" page is cached on the browser or not; if yes then Response.Redirect("default1.aspx"); else Response.Redirect("default2.aspx")
I'm having an issue when using the Asp.Net Cache functionality. I add an object to the Cache then at another time I get that object from the Cache, modify one of it's properties then save the changes to the database.
But, the next time I get the object from Cache it contains the changed values. So, when I modify the object it modifies the version which is contained in cache even though I haven't updated it in the Cache specifically. Does anyone know how I can get an object from the Cache which doesn't reference the cached version?i.e.
Step 3: Item item = (Item)Cache.Get("test"); if(item.Title == "Test 1"){ Response.Write("Object has been changed in the Cache."); }
I realise that with the above example it would make sense that any changes to the item get reflected in cache but my situation is a bit more complicated and I definitely don't want this to happen.
I'm repeating my question because the prior one under this topic was lost.
I want to use MicrosoftReportViewer for Web Forms so that the DataSource be set programmatically. There is some sample code on the Internet for Windows Forms but I haven't found anything for Web Forms. For example, here is some code I've tried to use. It gives no errors but nothing is displayed.
How should I modify the code to display a table in the ReportViewer?
I am trying to modify an xml file from my aspx code. The file is in another directory from my project like in D:folderfile.xml When publishing my code and running it I am receiving an error as not to be able to access this directory, access in denied. Which user account shall I add to this folder in security option to be able to modify it. I tried adding IIS user but it does not seem to work.
I am workining on a large site for a client. I have a control (an asp.net textbox) that is rendering with two class tags i.e.:<textarea class="x" class="y" />I have no idea how or why that is happening and I dont expect to find an answer here.however I hope that one of you can tell me the best way to debug it.I would like to see how that control is being by asp before any other code has a chance to modify it (the site uses telerik controls but the control in question is an asp.net textbox control).
In my orginal post i asked the question to handle this within the .Net side.
I was trying to stay away from using SSIS package, and with help from another member, i was able to get the process to work with an excel spreadsheet.
But part of my project requires us to allow .csv files.. so my question is how can i modify the code i have now for the excel to work with a .csv file?
You can find the current code in my original post here:

I not sure what the best solution is for the end result.. I was reading somewhere online that you can right the data from the file to a datalist or gridview so you can present the user with a view of what is being uploaded, then use that datacontrol to insert into SQL.
In my current code, im uploading the file, then using that file to do the insert. This works fine for .xls files.. but i need to accomplish the same thing for a .csv file.
I need to create a web application using ASP.NET MVC, jQuery and web standards for a customer with a style which look like Windows Vista/Seven. Can anybody indicate me a link to do this with CSS? I have searched on the web, but I couldn't find it. I'd like to have interface elements like "window", "menu", "buttons", "form controls", etc.
If i've the button outside an update panel (basically i'm using RadAjaxPanel by Telerik) it is working fine. But when the button is inside an ajax panel, even if i click OK for deleting the records the server side code is not called.
I'm using a sqldatasource to retreieve and display values in a listview. I used a list view since I wanted to use custom formating. I have an itemtemplate with the retreieved values. I have list one of the rows
I have developed a website in asp.net webforms, I've tested this website in IE7, IE8, Ie9 (RC), Firefox, Chrome and Safari, in Windows XP and Windows 7. Everything works fine.
But in Internet Explorer in Windows Vista, does not working. The website opens in browser, but when the application needs a postback it does not work. I don't know why it is happening.
I have a gridview that when users click an asp:Button a confirmation box needs to appear. Inside that confirmation box, I want to include information from the gridview (DataKeyValues) that I can use in the codebehind to customize the confirmation message that pops up.
Anyone know of a skinnable audio player (or something similar to Windows Vista audio control in task bar) that i can embed in my website?
A player that can be customized to use a 'speaker' icon instead of a 'play' icon. When the speaker is clicked, the volume can be adjusted or turned off. The option of being able to autoplay and set the default volume level.
Recently I had a weird problem while trying to install SQL Server Reporting Service in my local PC. I am using Windows Vista Home Premium and I wanted to configure SSRS in my PC. During the installation, the setup wizard listed all the services that we want to install and I found that only Reporting Server checkbox option was disabled and I wondered why??? I thought it may be becuase of some installation problem and tried again and its useless... I googled lot of sites for 3 days and finally found that due to some IIS issues, it is not possible to install Reporting Server in Vista Home Premium version. Reporting Server needs some specific IIS features to be installed in the machine.
But unfortunately those features are not available for Home Premium users which in term restricts users not to install reporting server in our PCs... Also, Microsoft has accepted it as an issue and its not possible to get it install in Home Premium...just wanted to share and might be useful for someone like me.
