CSS Style Like Windows Seven / Vista

Apr 14, 2010

I need to create a web application using ASP.NET MVC, jQuery and web standards for a customer with a style which look like Windows Vista/Seven. Can anybody indicate me a link to do this with CSS? I have searched on the web, but I couldn't find it. I'd like to have interface elements like "window", "menu", "buttons", "form controls", etc.

SQL Server Reporting Services Not Able To Install On Windows Vista Home Premium

Aug 26, 2010

Recently I had a weird problem while trying to install SQL Server Reporting Service in my local PC. I am using Windows Vista Home Premium and I wanted to configure SSRS in my PC. During the installation, the setup wizard listed all the services that we want to install and I found that only Reporting Server checkbox option was disabled and I wondered why??? I thought it may be becuase of some installation problem and tried again and its useless... I googled lot of sites for 3 days and finally found that due to some IIS issues, it is not possible to install Reporting Server in Vista Home Premium version. Reporting Server needs some specific IIS features to be installed in the machine.

But unfortunately those features are not available for Home Premium users which in term restricts users not to install reporting server in our PCs... Also, Microsoft has accepted it as an issue and its not possible to get it install in Home Premium...just wanted to share and might be useful for someone like me.

Give Style Attributes To Sub-elements Inside A <style> Tag?

Apr 9, 2010

My <style> for thumbnails currently looks like this:

<style type="text/css">
img.TN {
width: 100%;
margin-bottom: 5.294%;
cursor: pointer; }
</style>

This is annoying, because I have to apply this style to every single thumbnail image individually, when there could be any number of them on the screen at any given time. All of the thumbnails are inside a single <div> that groups them together, and I'd like to apply a single style to the <div> that will push the attributes I need down to all of the the <img> elements nested inside, regardless how many thumbnails there are.

I'm using ASP.NET 2.0, and CSS 2.0

Forbidden Error In VS2005 Under Vista?

Mar 11, 2010

I have a web application that built on using VS2005 running under an XP operating system. Recently the computer was upgraded to Vista. After installing VS2005 and all pages, pressing the RUN button throws an error where the start page is "forbidden". I have replaced the page with a test page named "Test.asp" that merely says hello, and that does not display (access is forbidden). I haven't a clue. I am an administrator on the machine. Does anyone know what this problem is?

IIS6 Metabase Compatiblity Not Installing Correctly For Vista IIS7?

Jun 2, 2010

I've been bashing my head against this one for a few days, and haven't had any luck with it. I'm unable to get my VS2010 ASP.NET project to deploy to IIS. I receive the error"Unable to create the virtual directory. To access local IIS Web sites, you must install the following IIS ComponentsIIS 6 Metabase and IIS 6 Configuration CompatibilityASP.NETIn addition, you must run Visual Studio in the context of an Administrator Account"I've most certainly installed the metabase option, but it still shows up. I'm also not sure why it's telling me to install ASP.NET.Google is being entirely unhelpful, I was wondering if anyone here has any suggestions. I'm running Vista Ultimate 64Bit
