AJAX :: ModalDialog And Returning A Value?

I am having an issue getting a value from a ModalDialog back to the page that called it so I can change the alternate text of an image based on what is entered in the textbox.Any thoughts on how to properly return the value and use it?Provided below is my code related to this.Main Page (This is a Content Page!) on PageLoad

I have a Modal Dialog:

Then its called in the code behind
Page.ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(this.GetType(), "popUpScript", "ShowPopup();", true);
The dialog.aspx has two buttons:
<asp:Button id="btn1" runat="server" Text="Button 1" OnClick="btn1_Click"></asp:Button>
<asp:Button id="btn2" runat="server" Text="Button 2" OnClick="btn2_Click"></asp:Button>
However, the Click events in the code behind are never getting fired.

I'm trying to show "Progress" Image...on click of a button with in the Update panel, the image is getting displayed, but the modal dialog is not opening... the aspx is posted below...

We have a web project that contain its business methods in a class library project called "Bll.dll"
some methods of Bll.dll return List<> ... from a source - that i don't remember now - told that returning Collection<> is better than returning List<> Is it a valid ? Note that i don't make any process on values returned from BLL methods .. just view it in a web page

I'm developing an ASP.NET MVC application with AJAX.

We are using 2 ISA proxy servers in front of our webserver and are getting intermittant Ajax errors in our application.
Our web logs indicate that there are 407 errors occurring during the requests.
When other users hit the webserver directly this issue does not occurr and this is also not an issue in IE8 but is in IE7.
The error dialog has Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException and the details say "error parsing near '<!DOCTYPE html P'

When executed the code works correctly in Internet Explorer 8
However when I run the same code in firefox 3.5.7 when it hits the following line

I have a simple web method written in the code-behind (not a separate asmx) of a test aspx page.
All it does is return a DataTable(or DataSet) both are failing, gives a blank 500 error saying "There was an error processing the request"
If I switch the return variable type to String, it works fine
I think my issue has to do with the version of the System.Web.Extensions, is that the assembly that actually contains the JSON communication implementation?
I've read all kinds of tutorials about how it should be possible to return the DataTable to javascript and then read the properties with javascript syntax.
For some reason it isn't working for me.
My web extensions is imported through my web.config with the following version

I am attempting to retrofit a web application that had a rudimentary, yet mostly effective navigation infrastructure that, when properly utilized, allowed navigating forward and backward through AJAX states and other pages through the use of additional <asp:Button> objects labeled "Back" to perform special code for restoring previous states. There was an elaborate stack push and pop algorithm for this. The effect was very similar to what is described in Diagram 1 (AStatex refers to an AJAX related state of the page). The reason for this is so that it takes away the reliance on the contrived Back button and so that accidentally hitting the browser's back button or hitting the Backspace key won't cause a loss of state.

I have a service that works great on my development box. It uses JQuery to hit my web service, and then the JSON results are sent back.
The web service is located on our basePage.cs. We didn't want to put out an external WebService for this. Our on beta box something different is happening.
The web page seems to be trying to call the web method correctly - the JSON data is being sent... but the server doesn't seem to know it's a webmethod. here's my service function (it's in our basepage.cs which inherits from Page).

I have a simple asp.net form that has a textbox that collects phonenumbers to send SMS messages. If I bypass the form and hardcode the numbers using the following format:
"2133211234",#1233211234"
the code works fine. However when i try to use this same format using my form, the sms will ONLY send to the first number. I have a feeling i'm missing out on some property on my form that will accept all of the values. how how i can add some lines of code that will allow users to enter numbers like this:
3123211234,4123212344 and have it converted to the format above when the number is submitted?

I don't have any business object composed of these attributes currently & I don't want to create it just for the sake of a gridview.

How is it possible to return some kind of list from a WCF service, this the method in my WCF service.

I have a problem with getting jquery to retrieve results from a WCF service. I am hosting the WCF service within IIS and when I attach the debugger to this process I can see that the code is processed successfully. However, when it hits the callback within jquery there is no data??
I have set up a trace on the wcf service and there are no errors. It just seems as though the data is lost after the wcf service method completes.
Here is the jquery code which calls the service:
