I have downloaded a dll that is for Glowish effects to Buttons. But the problem is that , Extender needs reference to an older version of AjaxControlToolkit, and in my project i have already used many controls based on that recent version. That i cannot change. How can i use this GlowExtender with the latest version of AjaxControlToolkit ?

I am a bit new to ASP.Net Ajax and as such new to Ajax itself. I have a site which uses ASP.Net Ajax. It used the version AjaxControlToolkit version 3.0.30512.0. I have now changed it to version 3.5.40412.2 by deleting the old reference and adding a reference to the latest one . I build the soultion and everything appears fine witjhout any errors. But the site fails to load showing a yellow page with the message AjaxControlToolkit Version="3.5.40412.2" missing reference to 'AjaxControlToolkit.ExtenderBase.Base Scripts.js.BaseScripts.js'. What does this mean ?
View 2 RepliesI see that I have version 3.0.20229.0 of ajaxcontroltoolkit.dll on a server and on my local machine I have version 3.0.0.20820.0 of ajaxcontroltoolkit.dll in a AjaxControlToolkit-Framework3.5SP1 directory. So does 3.0.20229.0 correspond to 3.5 pre sp1?

It sounds like the Toolkit version does NOT correspond to the version of ajaxcontroltoolkit.dll.
I have two different version of AjaxControlToolkit dll and I have added reference of both dll in my web application. I also set up different tagprefix for both the version.
View 4 RepliesI have an ASP.NET AJAX application, which is using .NET Framework 3.5. I have visual Studio 2008 installed on my developer machine. The AjaxControlToolKit dlls I have installed in my system right now come from the file "AspNetAjaxLibraryBeta0911.zip". The released date of the dlls in the file is 12/29/2009. Exploring the AjaxControlToolKit download site, I found that there is a more updated version, which release date was April 12th 2010.
I tried to update the AjaxControlKit.dll version to the newest one. I did this creating a path in my system: c:Program FilesAjaxControlToolKitWebFormsRelease then I placed there the new AjaxControlToolKit.dll and AjaxControlToolKit.pdb files. Then I right clicked on the name of the dll inside my Bin directory in my application and selected "Update Reference". After I did this I tested the application and is giving me Jscript error messages like: "htmlfile: member not found", or Microsoft Jscript Runtime error "lenth is null or not an object". I don't get these error messages if I come back to the previous version of the AjaxControlToolKit.
All my web applications are using AjaxControlToolkit 1.0 version. But I have one third party website that is using AjaxControlToolkit 3.5. When I run that third party website I got the following error.

I just recently updated to the latest version of the AjaxControlToolkit and now my TabContainers don't work (only thing i'm using the toolkit for). It looks like the client code to make the correct tab visible is never getting called. The error I'm getting with Firefox is "Sys.Extended is undefined", and with IE I get "'Sys.Extended.UI' is null or not an object".

I have an ASP.NET project and I want to use some AjaxToolKit Extenders on my pages.
The site is created in VS2010, set to Framework 4.0.
This is what I did:
1) Add reference "AjaxToolKit.dll" to my project.
2) Add to the toolbar the same file for the controls
3) Add "ToolkitScriptManager" to the page source.
This adds the declaration to the source as well.
Right after this I get the following error:

I'm trying to use jquery/Ajax to access some webmethods in my codebehind. This is fine, but I would in my function like to reference a placeholder (phStory in the code below) on my page and also load a usercontrol into that placeholder.
Unfortunately I get the message: "An object reference is required for the non-static field, method, or property 'TestControls.phStory' " and similar for the usercontrol. Does anyone know how I can still access my placeholder and usercontrol from within this.
It has to be stati as it's a WebMethod but this then throws up these errors.

View 1 RepliesI think I did something stupid recently. I tried out the new vs2010 and probably changed settings to the newer version of the .net framework. My asp.net pages are working normally as before locally on my machine, but after I uploaded my web.config file to my ISP, the same pages are not working online.The version of asp.net my ISP has is 2.00.50727. I can upgrade that to 3.0 for an addional cost, but how do I revert back to my previous version, is this done in the wetb.config file perhaps?

View 1 RepliesI have modified a SharePoint visual studio workflow which works as per requirement on the dev machine. I have to deploy it to an email enabled document library on sharepoint server and it is set to be started automatically when a new item is added to the library. When i deploy it to the server, and perform a manual upload to the doc library i.e. use the upload button to uplaod a document, it runs as expected. but when an email is received by the document library, a previous version of the workflow runs. this is really frustrating. I have removed all the previous versions of the workflow and now there is only one left. I have tried removing the workflow and adding it again but still the same behavior. I have removed temporary .net files from the windows folder but no luck.
If the new version is not installed properly, why is the manual upload working fine? can someone help? I want the same version of the workflow to run on the manual upload and email.
I just downloaded the latest AjaxControlToolKit.dll (3.5.40412.0), and update it in my old project. When I compile the project, it shows sucessful. However, when I used my Customized Calendar, it got "AjaxControlToolKit Undefined"
