In one my web page i've an updatepanel which contains a gridview .The gridview displays huge amt of data (4 pages of data) and the updatepanel refreshes for every 1 sec,for tht i've used timer control, to get the updated data from the server.for that i've used one timer. The problem is ,the webpages scroll bar(both horizontal and vertical) is repositioning to the starting position after every refresh.

It generates the Update/Edit/Delete buttons, my Delete function is working exactly how I want and the 'Edit' button generates editable TextBoxes as it should.
My problem is in the updating part, the strings Item, Family, Structure are getting the old values, not the new values I put in the generated text boxes.If I hard code in values they are updated to the database and the DateTime.Now is always updating correctly in the database so the update query is working.
I've been looking at this/reading forums testing things for a couple days now. I'm sure I'm just missing something simple that I have overlooked.

Even if I try to run the sample project, that is included in MVC 3 installation, when I go to the Register form, only the Required attribute causes validation. The Email Format attribute doesn't work,which means I can enter non-email string into the email field and it submits the form without any error messages.

Every solution I have seen though seems to have the same problem..as explained they dont work in content forms with master pages...at leat no solution I have seen has worked.

I have 2 gridviews in an update panel that for some reason will not update. There is no data entry, paging, sorting going on, the data is just there to be displayed. I'm using a timer that initiates every 5 minutes to trigger the updatepanel. I also have an updatepanel on an additional page where I am also using a trigger to fire the updatepanel with 2 charts and 1 oneline/column gridview. The 2 charts update just like they are supposed to however the gridview does not. Here is the code for the 2 Gridview aspx page:

I have a very simple application that works almost all the time. I am using an UpdatePanel. My script manager is configured to enable partial rendering. My UpdatePanel is configured for conditional update mode. My asynchronous trigger is a timer that runs every 3 seconds. I track unhandled exceptions in the database. I am not getting any unhandled exceptions. Nor am I getting managed exceptions. Now, I had two users side by side running the application today. I had one record in the data queue. The first user did not get updates; her grid did not update. The second user did get updates. The only difference was that the first user was logged in for a long period of time. The second user logged in just before the test. I reviewed the IIS log file and both users were polling the page every 3 seconds for the same data. So why didn't the first user's grid update? The code follows.

View 4 RepliesI've got a site that uses an Accordion, it has AutoSize="Limit" and the height is set to 600, however, when rendered, the Accordion div style is set to:"overflow-x: auto; height: 600px; overflow: hidden;"Does anyone know why this is the case? My understanding is that an AutoSize value of Limit should render style of "overflow-y: auto;" if not "overflow: auto;"?I tried setting the width to see if that makes any difference, but it still has "overflow: hidden".At the moment I have a work around which places the Accordion (with AutoSize="None") in a div with a style of "height: 420px; width: 750px; overflow: auto;", but I'm surprised that this issue exists and would prefer if I didn't have to use this work around.

I would like to create an animation effect in order to have a vertical scroll of my images, the scroll must have a pause from an image to another. I have started with this, but I have some problems:

2. When the image move up it moves in the window OVER the div, not inside (so it doesen't disappeare when move up)

I've got a modal popup and when it loads contents that are taller than the browser height I am unable to scroll down to view the rest of the information. Instead the background can scroll but the popup won't, I'd like to have the popup stay in place so the users can see the bottom of the modal.

To avoid this issue, do not specify the ListItemHoverCssClass property.Am not using any ListItemHoverCssClass Property but still it flickers. Please help me on any work around to solve this. I know Auto Complete extender is a best solution instead of combo box, but the clients need combox that should list everything along with editing in the text box.
