I have 6-7 tabs in a tab container,they have textboxes,checkboxes,drodown etc specific to a user.If I have more than one record
for the user,how can i go to the next record ?Is it possible to do it in tabs if not how can I do that.
i am applying paging in list view. i used data pager control. but problem is on click of next page next data is not displaying only showing previous data. i have one dropdown i am bing list view on dropdownindex change event not in page load.

I have programmatically created the Wizard control:

Based on List I get from Session i added new steps to my wizard To each step I had added a custom control
Each custom control in tern contains another custom Gridview Control in it.
So here's the problem when the page loads for example for two steps. All is good Wizard does what it's supposed to do.
But when I try to use sorting or paging in that custom Gridview. Somehow it displays the gridview I should see in the next step of the wizard.
Also what I'm noticing through debugging. Is that when I press next in the wizard I go back to the original page where I do all of the code specified above, and it recreates the wizzard. But it goes to the next step. Is this the way wizard supposed to work? Just doesn't seem very efficient.

By efficient, I mean I only retrieve the records that I intend to show.I am trying to use the PagerTemplate to build my pager functionality.In short, the problem is that if I bind only the records that I intend to show on the current page, the gridview doesn't render its pager template, so I don't get the paging controls.It's almost as if I MUST bind more records than I intend to show on a given page, which is not something I want to do.

i need to know what control in asp .net 2.0 to use to get this layout:
i need to display 8 videos at a time using 2 rows with 4 columns, but the control should also have paging (to display 8 items per page).
i've thought of using a formview but the paging for formview is per one article content / datarow only.
i'm also thinking of using gridview but i am not so sure if i can get this layout.
I recently upgraded my report viewer control from version 9 to version 10, and now its paging controls don't work. Whether I use the next button, last page button, or type in a page number, after postback the page is always reset to one.
I know the dataset has more than one page of data, and it is even returned to me in full if I export to excel via the report toolbar.
The Chrome javascript console shows no errors, and inspection of the postback generated by the paging control in Fiddler yields nothing obviously wrong. When I manually set the page number to 2 and inspect the form fields in Fiddler, I see a form field that looks like the CurrentPage property, and its value is indeed 2. However when reloading the page, the number is reset to 1.
The report viewer displays a local rdlc report. I opened it in VS2010 and opted to upgrade its format, just in case, to no avail.
I have tried with async rendering on and off, no good.

A possibly related issue: I was initially getting an assembly load error looking for System.Web.Ajax. I was unable to find this dll in the add reference dialog. I ended up copying it into my bin folder, from another machine on which this problem didn't occur.
I'm working with the 10.2 version of the DevExpress MVC controls. I have a page hosting a MVCxGridView and I need to preserve the current page when navigating away and back to this particular page.
I can see from the old ASPxGridView documentation that there's a PageIndex property, but this seems to only be accessible from a WebForms/Code Behind/Server Control type context. I'm using MVC and can't figure out how to preserve this page setting.
I've tried the cookie settings with the control but those don't seem to persist for me.

View 2 Repliesi've got a user control that resides at the bottom of a page. The user control has a repeater and some paging that I built. Everything works well with the custom paging, but when the user clicks a page, the screen goes back to the TOP of the page after postback while my user control resides at the bottom. It's quite annoying for the user to scroll down everytime he pages the control. Is there anyway I can move the focus onto the control after postback?
This functionality is somewhat similar to the HTML anchor internal <a href = "www.page.com/#section"> where you point to a section in a page, but i want it with the paging. Here's a structure of my user control:
