AJAX :: CalendarExtender Not Filling In Textbox?

Jun 9, 2010

I have the following calendarextender connected to a text box (TextBoxDate). When I choose a new date, I can see that the textbox is updated. However, when I call the text box in a vb script, run when I click a button, the text box is null. The script worked fine when I would enter the date by hand. The failure began when I added the calendarextender.

<asp:TextBox ID="TextBoxDate" runat="server" style="text-align: center" Width="93px"></asp:TextBox>
<asp:CalendarExtender ID="CalendarExtender1" runat="server"

AJAX :: Synchronizing CalendarExtender With Date In Associated TextBox?

Jan 14, 2010

What I'm finding is that if I externally change the date in the text box that the CalendarExtender is attached to (I'm also using an image button with a calendar image to invoke the calendar - like the last example on the

samples page), the date on the calendar does not stay in sync.

Example:

page loads. text and calendar are set to 1/14/2010. cool. on the click event of a button elsewhere on the page I set the date in the text box to 12/15/2009.

I would expect that clicking on the calendar button to display the calendar would show December 15, 2009 in the calendar, but instead it's still stuck on January 14, 2010.

What's involved in programattically setting the date in the CalendarExtender control
in javascript?

AJAX :: CalendarExtender Does Not Update Textbox Text?

Nov 25, 2010

Prior to using the calendarextender I was using the text in a textbox to set a session variable in the textedchanged event. When I started using the calendarextender, the new date does appear in the textbox but the event is not fired. I suppose I need to use Javascript for this, but I'm not sure how to do it. I'm using VS2010 pro on a Win7 64bit.

Ajaxcontroltoolkit - Ajax Toolkit AsyncFileUpload - "The File Is Attached Is Invalid" Error

Feb 22, 2010

I'm trying to use the AsyncFileUpload control from the Asp.net Ajax Control Toolkit (Sept 30, 2009 stable build: 30930) . I've created a demo application and the control works fine. Files upload and all is well. When I try to use the control in my real application, I'm always receiving an error stating "The file attached is invalid". The AsyncFileUpload control returns this when the file uploaded is null.

To isolate the problem, I created a new master page exactly like the master page in my demo app. I also created an aspx page exactly like the page in my demo app. The upload still fails with a "The file attached is invalid" error. I also compared the web.config for the real app and the demo app and couldn't identify any differences that should matter. The code below is the test code in my real app. This code is exactly the same as the functioning code in the demo app with the exception of having different class names and file names. The web.config listed below is from the real app with the appsettings and connectionstrings removed. Real App Test Master Page:

AJAX :: CalendarExtender Giving Error On Page . 'sys.extended.ui.textboxwrapper Is Null Or Not An Object'

Nov 27, 2010

I decided to use the CalendarExtender on a project and I converted it from VS 2005 to Web Developer 2010 Express. I initially added the AJAX toolkit for ASP.NET 4.0 and the calendar extender worked fine. However, I realised that the server didn't have ASP.NET 4.0 installed and I thought it would be simpler to add the toolkit for 3.5 instead and change the target framework to 3.5. I tried and then the CalendarExtender did't work at all. When you click the textbox nothing happens. There is the error on page - 'sys.extended.ui.textboxwrapper is null or not an object'

I tried switching the project back to 4.0 and using the other one and that no longer works for some reason. The same in 2008 Web Developer Express. I've clearly done something wrong along the way, but I can't work out what it is.

Here's the source for a page on a test Web Developer 2008 Express project.

Security :: WCF/ASMX, SSL, Getting Forbidden Error Even Though Cert Is Attached

Mar 21, 2011

I'm running into an issue connecting to a web service that is protected with a ssl cert. I have the PFX key, and have included the WSDL in my project. However, i always get a "Forbidden" error. At first I thought this was just a problem with the key, so we regenerated the certs and keys and tried again... Still Forbidden. The group who is hosting the web service turned up their logging and found that my cert is NOT being passed. Yet when I look at my call to the webservice, I can see the cert is attached to the object.

Is there anything I'm doing obviously wrong?

Apologies for this being in VB.NET ;)
