I have 40 record in database. But I am displaying 10 record in each page in store grid by using grid pannel.Similarlly, I am using Ajax for events. But the problem is when I refresh the page or grid, it shows first record in first page. how can I get current page data when refreshing data?

It happens to me on pages with multiple ASP update panels. For example, I have two dropdownlists nested inside one of the update panels, and those dropdownlists do allow AutoPostback. For whatever reasons, it triggers other update panels to refresh even though it shouldn't. It only happened in Firefox 3.6, I haven't seen it in Firefox 3.5.x or Chrome or even IE 8.
I've a tab container with 4-5 tabs on a page. On the same page, I've three update panels - one outside tab container whilst the other two lie inside two tab panels separately. Update mode of all three update panels are set to Conditional. There is a timer in the first update panel (the one outside tab container). Whenever timer ticks, the other two update panels are also being refreshed. How can I stop this?
View 4 RepliesIn one of my webpage, I have a parent window where i have a datalist with 10 rows of images. when i click any image a pop up window(child window) opens.
The child window has a form to be filled by user. Once user fills this form, he will press the save button. Once the save button is clicked, the child window should be closed and the datalist(in the update panel) in the parent window should be refreshed.
This is how I am trying to achieve this. On click of the save button a javascript function is being called of the parent window like this: window.opener.refreshDataList();
in the refreshDataList() function I have written the following code:

This works like a charm in Internet Explorer. However in Mozilla and Chrome it doesnt work. While testing this I added an alert statement ind the refreshDataList() function like this..

Once I added the alert statement, It started working in both mozilla and chrome.
So I realize that It could be an issue related to focus. I have done window.focus()
but still its not recieving any focus and not working in Mozilla and Chrome.
What is the easy/safe way to get all HttpContext.Current data (like querystring, etc) in the previous page, after response.redirect or server.transfer to another page?

View 2 RepliesI'm manually triggering an update panel refresh using javascript (long story- but it has to be this way), but I still see a page flicker outside of the update panel, so I'm concerned that the whole page is getting refreshed rather than the update panel. Any way I can determine this? Perhaps some value in the code-behind on the postback? Or some client side trick? If the jQuery $(document).ready() event fires, does that mean the whole document is refreshing or just the update panel?

I have problem when try auto download in another page that already been specify.In current page, I have button to trigger to redirect page to download page, but I wish to download done automatic, even it don't done automatic. All this was working OK, except that there was a problem with Internet Explorer users: if their browser had the default privacy setting the authorization cookie was rejected. There was no message, but they were not logged on. See [URL] To try to solve this problem I changed to cookieless authentication, but now the logon control doesn't work. The problem is that after cookieless authentication the URL changes from
[URL]
However Request.Url.AbsoluteUri remains http://localhost:3641/TestGDB/login_pages/home2.aspx even after the logon, and so with cookieless authentication the user is not logged on as there is no authentication ticket in the redirect URL.
The problem is "solved" by changing the Redirect statement to Response.Redirect("~/login_pages/home2.aspx") which works perfectly for this particular page, but is obviously wrong when the control is on other pages.

View 2 RepliesI have two gridviews tied to a SQL backend both being displayed within an update panel. Both the gridviews have a linkbutton connected to a rowcommand. When clicking on one of the rowcommand link buttons, the database is updated and the update panel is refreshed (moving the record to be displayed in the other gridview in the panel). However, when the rowcommand from the other gridview is clicked, the code is run and the database is updated, but the update panel is NOT refreshed.I have debugged it and have found that the code is running as expected. It fires off the function and updates the database. If I click away from the page and then go back, it does show the data in the proper gridviews, so I know that the code is working.

on Code Behind when finished button clicked i do show the next view from the multiview as well as the New button. inside the finished button click event i do mpeScreenFreez.Hide(); to hide the popupExtender. When i response.redirect i could see the panFreeze panel poping up just before relaod.

I have a asp:ListBox wrapped inside an asp:UpdatePanel. The list box contains Bus Codes. If I select AH, for example, and then scroll down to select XY, the listbox jumps back up to the top of the list instead of staying on XY. Listbox's autopost back is set to True. As I need to get selected values and then pass it to another web page to display a crystal report. The report web page is opened using JavaScript Window.Open and on page load of the web page that contains the listbox this JavaScript is added to a button. Is there a way I can stop my list box jumping back to the 1st item?
